They came with a pure pass blitz, because they have no fear of the gmen running the ball. It sets a message and a style of play. I know the big man is out, but the team still needs to be run first I see what you are saying but it was a breakdown in blocking, not the play call. Plus that is not entirely accurate unless it was a draw play. Diehl would've pushed forward at the line, and Demarcus would not have gotten that far upfield as easily, meaning he may or may not have been in position to make a play on the ball carrier. Point is, it was still execution. Regardless of the play call, it all comes down to execution. Gilbride has been mixing it up just fine so far.
