jranieli
Do I have any confidence in this team against the Bears next week? The answer is no. I think Eli is lost without Plax being 100%. Might see the same results next week.
Allstarjim
Do I have any confidence in this team against the Bears next week? The answer is no. I think Eli is lost without Plax being 100%. Might see the same results next week. We've been debating it here for at least a week or two, and finally Troy Aikman said it in the game yesterday... why not sit Plax down for a couple of weeks and let him get healthy? With Sinorice Moss playing and Hixon in there for the slot, just sit Plax and let him get back when he gets back. A 100% Moss is better than a 75% (or worse) Plaxico. It's hurting the team having him in there less than 100% That said, I think the Giants will beat the Bears. We have revenge to take out on them from last year, and I think the team will definitely not come out flat like they did this week. They will be motivated, but you just never know with this team, do you? Especially with Eli, because at any time he's capable of just stinking up the field to high heaven. Lubeck
Hamstring. Droughns did not impress me yesterday, but then again neither did the OL. Bradshaw should have gotten more carries.
jranieli
Well if maybe Droughns drove through the holes, instead of dancing around the tackles, he might have been a little more successful. He isn't Tiki Barber.
fringe
Strategy: Don't kick to Hester- just kick it out of bounds and defend from the 40- Oh, no long field goals either.
MakeMeSomeFoodHo
droughns is not a very good running back. Im pretty sure we all knew this...but considering what we gave up and wht he can be used for, it was a no brainer trade. With that said, I never wanted to see him carry the ball more than 5 times in a game ever
Allstarjim
Strategy: Don't kick to Hester- just kick it out of bounds and defend from the 40- Oh, no long field goals either. You can squib kick or pooch kick it up real high. As long as you don't kick it to Hester in the middle of the field then we should be able to bring him down. Our defense should be able to get to Griese or Grossman, whoever will be in there, and fortunately, neither of them have the escapability that Tarvaris Jackson has. As long as Eli minimizes mistakes and we can run the ball, we'll be ok.

Nesta
He did look like Vick; he only completed 10 passes. Yeah and those ten netted him 83% completion. You think he's done that in the pros before? No. His rating for the game was about 140. And don't forget the 7 yards per carry.

Half of those yards were on that lucky bomb at the start. Jackson was ineffective at best.

Take away Eli's brainfarts and we would have crushed them.

Even Ward does not instill tons of confidence This is another game for the Giants to lose. On paper, there is no way the Bears crappy offensive line, slow running game, and turnover-prone QB should have any chance against the Giants. And the Bears defense is soft against the run. Then again, Eli was supposed to carve up the WORST pass defense in the league, and looked like a complete asshole out there, so I'm not predicting anything after what I was just forced to watch yesterday. Sephiroth
The game this week is going to be interesting, that's for sure. The Bears are coming off a huge emotional win where their season was all but lost and they had to pull out huge 4th quarter heroics to get the victory. We're coming off a huge emotional loss where literally EVERYTHING had to go wrong for us to lose. Both QBs are spotty and inconsistent, and can win or lose the game for you depending on which way the wind is blowing. I just hope it's a good, watchable game... not one where the winner just sucked less than the other guy.

His runs were annoying but not game-breakers. Take away Eli's brainfarts and we would have crushed them. The D played very well considering the circumstances. After Eli kept chucking INTs that unfortunately went for TDs the game was getting unwinnable. That the D kept Taylor to 77 yards and Jackson only throwing 129 is decent even with his 38 rushing YDs (Total Net Yards 251). The O was a cluster fuck and if Eli had even played OK it would have been a win. Also Droughns wasn't that bad (only 15 carries and a 3 YPC) and before we all anoint Bradshaw he was running against a team that didn't care anymore.
