  1. is this a fucking joke? i can't take this shit anymore. now we lose our best 3rd down reciever. who's next? i'm not making excuses, but it's pretty hard to do anything in this league when you have a team full of backups. i would actually trade for jerry porter right about now.....
  2. people it's not like the bears are all that healthy either. mike brown is out, urlacher's hurt and will probably play, but nonetheless he's not 100%. also bernard berrian is hurt, so both teams are dealing with injuries. the bears are coming into our house baby. i really want to win this game, but it's not devastating if we lose. sure it will hurt, as i really want that #1 seed, but i'd rather our guys be injured now than come playoff time as it was last year. we were so decimated we couldn't even field a competetive game. as long as we are healthy come playoff time i'm happy.
  3. haha...so true. the guy has 2 good weeks in a row now he's peyton manning listen he has been in the league for SIX YEARS. he's still not a good passing qb. my money says he never will be.
  4. oh i couldn't agree more. i know the texans aren't a powerhouse, but they have an abyssmal line, and carr is always among the sacked leaders. i don't get it. i understand about the injuries and maybe he was holding back, but he better not do that against the bears or any good teams. i thought it was hilarious when during the bye week TL said that we were already blitzing 35 - 40 % of the time and he wasn't changing the scheme. then the next few weeks we start blitzing like a madhouse. i mean does this guy think that we weren't watching the first few games? we didn't blitz at all. yesterday was exactly like the first couple of weeks, the difference being we were playing a bad team so it didn't burn us. i am giving him a pass on this one considering the opponent and the injury situation. hopefully we get back on track this week.
  5. did anyone see sportscenter this morning? this dickhead just changed his picks and now has us going to the superbowl saying we have a better d than the bears. that was my pick in the beginning of the season: giants vs. colts in the sb, but i stand by my picks. if it doesn't happen then hey i'm wrong but i won't go changing my pick. salisbury had the panthers going to the sb before the season started... live with it. secondly while our d is much improved and has astonished me to this point, it is absolutely NOT better than the bears d, even when we are healthy. they had 1 bad game, he needs to calm down.
  6. first of all td or not, shockey should have caught the ball. his consistent drops are starting to get to me. now this is probably the first time i have ever said anything negative about shock, i am usually defending him even when he doesn't deserve it. however, i do not consider him an elite TE anymore. he is not. he is a very good player, but we all know there are a handful of TE's that are better than him, and he is overrated. i tried to avoid thinking like that but i can't deny it anymore. if he's not a great blocker i can deal with that, but if that's the case, he should have better hands if he wants to be considered the "great pass catching TE" that he thinks he is. as for jennings yeah he's tiny, but he got open a whole lot yesterday and eli kept consistently missing him. i don't even care about him in the passing game really, but this guy is definitely a speed demon and he should be returning kickoffs for us.
  7. i'm so tired of people making excuses for this guy. i don't care if he was a 2nd round pick, he was a complete waste of a pick. this guy has done absolutely nothing since he has stepped on the field, and any real giant fan will completely agree with me. when he came out of college all i heard was that although he's not great in coverage, he was supposed to be a pick machine. well guess what? he's neither. while i was at the game yesterday, i couldn't believe how many times this guy blew coverage...time and time again. now, i am not trying to degrade this giant team in any way, as they are far exceeding my expectations through the first 8 games. but there is no reason to play corey webster, when we have a guy fully capable of replacing him and doing a far better job. his name is R W MCQUARTES. "spider man" can't even compete with this guy. when madison comes back he and rw should be starting. i know some of you are going to attack me, defending webster til no end, that's fine if you can't accept the truth. but if you choose to do so, you must explain to me why webster deserves to start. and don't tell me about anything rw has done in the past, i am talking about what's hapening right now for this giants team. i am ready to give up on webster. if you can't show me ANYTHING in the first year + in the league then i don't think you have any game.

    Jacobs

i'm starting to feel more and more comfortable knowing jacobs will most likely be taking over next year. the one thing i'm really interested to find out is if he'll be able to run like that being the primary back. i do think he can be very successful, but the jury is still out if he will be able to run through everybody when he has to get the ball 25-30 times a game. you gotta love jacobs though...what a freakin steal. he is an absolute beast!
  9. yeah but doesn't buffalo have cheerleaders? it can't be any worse than that. maybe if we had cheerleaders, at least it would get all the old folks blood pumping again, and they wouldn't yell at us all to sit down!
  10. yeah but doesn't buffalo have cheerleaders? it can't be any worse than that.
  11. well technically a trap game is an easy game sandwiched in between 2 tough games, so no i don't see it as a "trap game". but we do have to win the games we are supposed to, so we cannot have a letdown. i'm actually happy we get to play a couple of easy games, as we can now try to rest our guys who are injured and hopefully they will be ready when we need them later in the season. i'm actually going to the texans and the bears game. i can't f*cking wait!
  12. i actually hope he doesn't. monday night football has gotten ridiculous at this point. i feel like it's the superbowl every week. they have smoke coming off the field. the rodeo cowboy gets to introduce the games and then i have to hear his dumbass song..again, and again....and again. then i'll have to listen to an interview with emmitt smith about dancing with the stars. theismann i don't think is bad at all. sure i hate him from the redskin days, but he is pretty insightful. and on top of that, he really doesn't hate the giants, which he should. tirico's ok. kornheiser? i like, but i feel has no place on mnf. the color man just doesn't work, they should've figured that out by now. sunday night football has had much much better games since nbc took over. now that the mnf rant is over, the point i'm really trying to get to is most of us care about athletes, not the person. sure tiki is a good guy and deserves the best when his playing days are over, but do you really care? i know i don't, as long as he isn't helping this giants team win games. most of us are just upset that he's going out while on top of his game, and he could be helping this giants team be superbowl contenders for the next couple of years. am i mad at him? of course not, but it just sucks that he is leaving a gaping hole, and it sucks that a guy walks away when he is the most important player on his respective team.
  13. no one is disrespecting us anymore. they're all jumping on the bandwagon which i hate. we will be getting praise from everyone, we deserve it.
  14. is he gonna be out for a while? i could deal with it for the next two weeks, but we need him back for the showdown with the bears. also, did anyone hear coughlin say that when emmons is healthy, he would come back? my brother told me he read that in an interview, and that would be a huge mistake. he is nothing more than a permanent backup at this point in my eyes. supposedly coughlin said that a player doesn't lose his job to injury, which is understandable, but what about losing your job because you suck? b/c emmons has been nothing but abyssmal since he's been here, i think he's had his shot, and i'd rather play short any day of the week.
  15. yeah but i can understand that. honestly the jets have played and are playing nobody this whole season. i'm not trying to diminish what they have accomplished, but i really don't think they have a great team by any means. if they do make the playoffs, more power to em, and it will be a phenomenal season for them. however, you will see, if they do this next year comes the tougher schedule, and i think they would get smoked if they had to play top teams week after week. so i think, it is debatable..
  16. nas this isn't directed at you personally, buti don't give a sh!t about this. espn is so quick to jump on our back when things are going well, but they were ready to dismiss us a couple of weeks ago. maybe it was rightfully so, but they are a bunch of bandwagon fools if you ask me. i just hate how when we're ranked low on their chart everyone says how they don't care and espn is ridiculous, but when they give us praise everyone loves it.
  17. i disagree. you can't say he's a lousy gameday coach, b/c he has proven otherwise. he took a near expansion team to the afc championship game and got them there twice. he has turned around this franchise that was left in complete dissaray when fassel left. he may not be a people person, but you have to respect him because of what he is able to do on the field. he also took this team, that could have easily folded in this season, and completely turned that around. eli may not be a pro bowler at this point, but coughlin has done a very good job bringing him along. he is a great offensive mind, and i hope he stays here. is he perfect? by no means but we could certainly be a lot worse off, so be careful what you wish for..
  18. you absolutely cannot judge this due to stats. sure he had the two td's but one was in extreme garbage time and we backed off heavily. as far as eli, he didn't have a great numbers game, but he didn't need to. lastly, numbers don't mean a thing to me man, not one thing. wins do. anyways, i agree let's go kick some tb ass.
  19. thankyou...somebody else finally realizes this guy is just a bunch of hype. a nobody from eastern illinois. i don't understand why everyone is making him out to be some savior. i said it before, i wish that romo got into this game, and i'm sure glad he did. i don't necessarily think he gives them a better chance to win now instead of drew. sure he is more mobile, but that doesn't mean he has a good arm, or could make accurate throws. what a dominating performance this was, to win in atlanta, then dallas. it really proves something to all of us. i think this team is on a mission.
  20. ok, that came out wrong. i don't wish any injuries on bledsoe, i just wish they were playing the ROOKIE romo. yes, you are forgetting this guy is a rookie, and one who may not be any good at all. just b/c parcells says he is ready to play, doesn't mean he's going to be any good. while i agree blesoe is a statue, there is no way you can tell me you'd be more worried about romo, when bledsoe is way more capable of posting a big game. he's done it before, and he will do it again, i'm sure. what has romo done to instill any fear in your mind? lastly, we need to worry about both those guys, either of who'm could have a HUGE game against us. i don't know why you say we don't need to worry about t.o. when the last time we played this guy he destroyed us with a 3 td performance. terry glenn is just as dangerous, i agree, but we definitely have to worry about t.o, i don't see how you can dismiss him like that.
  21. i don't think it's worth paying top dollar for a rb, considering they have short careers. you can just as easily draft someone who has the same chance to be just as good. take edge for example. what i think the giants need to do is draft a guy who was just like tiki when he came out. someone who will backup brandon jacobs and be the 3rd down back. clearly i haven't seen enough of brandon jacobs to determine how well he is going to do, but i see no reason he can't be good. i'm not just saying this b/c of his size, but he has always reminded me of eddie george. that's besides the point that i DO NOT think tiki is retiring this year. i don't care what was said, i just can't see him walking away from his career when he has a chance to solidify himself in the hall of fame. sure other guys retired when they were young, but those guys were already headed to the hall, tiki is not.
  22. don't forget d wright. i dont' think he should be getting a free pass, just b/c he's d wright. i mean the guy's awesome, but he's responsible too when he doesn't perform.
  23. yeah but that's the whole point. why bring it up now, while we are in the midst of a run? maybe the team already knew which is fine, but there is no need to address it publicly, because now it's going to be talked about constantly. i hope he doesn't go, we need him and while he is still producing at a high rate nonetheless this would suck. we've seen what happens when this team is forced to rely on eli. we are much better when we rely on tiki. i like jacobs alot, but i do not know if he will be a successful every down back...we will see. very dissapointing indeed.
  24. exactly..the series is far from over. especially conming back home. i really wanted to take that game though, so we wouldn't be in a must win situation facing carpenter but whatever, we gotta do it. the bats have been really dissapointing this series besides the 12-5 rout. i don't even put any of this on the pitching staff. overall they have kept us in the game for the most part. if our bats are ice cold like this and we can't score, then we don't deserve to win. hopefully they'll wake the fl_lck up. i never thought this year was our year, i thought it was going to be next. but they surprised me, and if we lost in the world series i could deal with that, but not to this sh!tty cardinals team. yes the team that won 84 games or whatever it was. we are better than them. maybe the mets have a few surprises left in the tank. i sure fl_lcking hope so.
