    Eli

whoa, relax man. first off i am stating my opinion of eli after he has played his fifth shitty game in a row, and i have every right to. i've always defended him, and if i feel the need to rip on him a bit because his play has warranted that, so be it. mechanics have a lot to do with playing the quarterback position. now, i'm not saying one has to be prefect mechanically all the time to be a successful qb in this league, but you should put yourself in a position to make good throws more often than not. how do mechanics not have an affect on accuracy? are you kidding me? if you are watching eli, you should see that when you cannot step into your throws it is extremely hard to deliver a well thrown ball accurately. he throws of his back foot way too often, you and i both know it. there's no way e should be throwing at tiki's feet on a screen pass. secondly, he sucks throwing on the run. the only thing he can do is move in the pocket a little bit and step up. i'm not saying he has to be mcnabb here, but he should be able to be semi mobile and make semi decent throws on the run. thirdly, he throws way too many picks. eli refuses to throw the ball away instead trying all too often to squeeze the ball in between two and many times three defenders. that should never happen, he must learn how to make better reads. i don't hate eli, even though i may sound like that at the moment. i really don't. i want him to succeed more than anyone on this team, because of his importance to the giants, and what we gave up to get him. do i see many things i like in him as well? of course, but right now i think his negatives are hurting this team way more than his positive assets are helping us. lastly, i'm just saying any of the "elite" qb's as you may, would be lighting shit up if they were on the giants, with the immense talent at essentially every single position. that's why i'm most dissapointed in him. we made it as easy as possible for him to do well, surrounding him with the best talent possible, and he's still developing extremely slow. i wouldn't be as mad if this team was rebuilding and we didn't have guys like plaxico, shock, tiki etc. so just as you say i have no room to "throw shit out there" which i'm not, i am basing off things i see eli performing on the field every single week. i can easily say the same thing about you "claiming" that eli is going to be a fine qb. why am i wrong but you're so sure of that? i never ever expected eli to be peyton or anyone else in any way. i expected him to have his own style, one that would lead this team not hurt it. i hope he comes around, and i truly believe he will, however i am not sure if he will be an elite qb and you can't say i'm wrong for thinking that way.

lorenzen anyone? it's worth a shot at least, can he really be any worse? what will it take for the giants fo and coaches to admit they fucked up, bench eli and play lorenzen? that would be a miracle....

    Eli

always the same fucking lame ass excuses....just admit you suck eli, and that you are the most overrated qb to hit the nfl in some time. i don't know whats worse, his accuracy and mechanics or his press conferences..what a fucking hillbilly fool....
  4. haha when i went to the texans game i got to go down on the field for pre-game. i saw lorenzen throwing some passes, and the guy throws a beautiful ball. he does have a nice arm, however he will never ever see the field during gametime unless it's mop up duty or eli turns out to be the biggest bust in the history of the game. i don't know why you continue to post such rubbish, it doesn't accomplish anything. if you do it to get a rise out out of the people on this board, then yes jack you are successful. as far as i'm concerned, you provide no insight or humor, and i highly doubt you are even a fan of this team......
  5. jack do you seriously post anything that isn't negative? fire coughlin, start lorenzen etc. are you really a giant fan? honest question, b/c it doesn't sound like you are. now you suggest that we take one of the best running backs in the game, who is on top of his game, and play him less? i love jacobs, and he will get his time on the field, but tiki gives us the best shot to win right now. if he is injured that is another story, but if healthy, one would be crazy to do this.
  6. hey i like charlie weis, and would have had no problem if he were the coach. but i got one question for you jack. how's notre dames defense looking? last time i checked it was abyssmal. what makes you so sure that weis would be a better fit for us? is this based on merit? or the fact that you hate tom coughlin and no matter what he does, you'll continue to say negative things about him. i'll choose the latter. i still don't think you'd give him any credit if he were to get us a ring....you'd say we won despite him.
  7. i fucking hate that douchebag. ONE week ago he says we are going to the superbowl, this week we're garbage. he is an arrogant, pompous fool who is bitter because he was a benchriding homo throughout his career. what makes this guy such an expert? he was a permanent bench fixture and now he knows exactly where the plays go wrong and whats needed to be done . maybe if he had that kind of insight as a player he may have seen a second of action. what a fool...
  8. well at least we can be assured that wont happen again
  9. oh in no way am i blaming feely for the 52 yarder, that would be nonsense. but if he doesn't have a big leg, which he does not (which is clearly apparent in his kickoffs as well as fg's) then the only reason he should be on this team is if he is extremely accurate from close/mid range which he is not. he missed a 33 yarder for christ sake! now there is nothing we can do in the middle of the season, but i hope we can find another kicker next season. ever since the seattle game last year i have lost all confidence in him. there's no way you can count on this guy to make a clutch kick. i hope to god that situation doesn't arise in a meaningful game or in the playoffs...
  10. i definitely agree..i truly believe the only thing that can stop us is our injuries. if we are healthy our team is too well balanced to let anyone roll on us. we can beat anyone.
  11. i agree with you, however i think a lot of people are dissapointed with eli due to the fact that he was the #1 pick in the draft and what we had to give up for him. to this point, he has not played anywhere near the level that a #1 pick certainly warrants. i have faith in e and i do think he'll turn out to be a great qb, but how great we'll just have to wait and see. some people don't realize that he will never achieve mindblowing stats playing in giants stadium, it's just damn near impossible, and it would be hard pressed to find a qb that would tear it up there. in due time, we'll all see what eli turns out to be, but the dissapointment is in the fact that he is no where near the level of a brady, mcnabb, brees, peyton etc. that's not to say that he's playing poorly but he is right in the middle of the pack. a #1 pick can't afford to be in the middle and get respect, he must step up and prove otherwise if he ever wants to be considered a great qb.
  12. don't forget kiwi and robbins who btw, has been outstanding this year. he deserves to go to the pro bowl.
  13. and the "booming" leg of jay "dome kicker" feely.
  14. i actually like coughlin. i think he's been doing an excellent job with this team. every coach make mistakes, or calls a bad game every so often. i'm not trying to make excuses for this team, however we are battered with injuries. regardless, we should have beat the bears last night. our season is far from over, and we are still in a good position to do some things. this team could have easily folded earlier in the season, and i think coughlin did a great job motivating our guys to play hard and show some resilliancy. as long as we can make the playoffs with a mostly healthy squad i really think we can do some things.as a matter of fact i don't think it will be coughlin we have to worry about when that time comes. it's eli.
  15. i really think we could've beat the bears last night. even with all the injuries. i really do. that was seriously some of the worst playcalling i've ever seen, minus the first drive. where was shockey? tim carter? jennings? jacobs? what the fuck was this? why did lewis stop blitzing when we were making rex grossman play like a little schoolgirl? corey webster...don't even get me started on him, this guy has to be the worst corner in the league, without a doubt. how do we give up a 3rd and 20? why attempt a 50+ yard field goal down 4? jay feely has no range... this guy is pathetic..i thought eli was going to have a solid game as well, but man was he awful. too many things went wrong last night. that coaching was out of control, maybe the worst coached game i've seen since coughlin has been here. the bears d is good yes, but their offense to me, looked like absolute shit, the pass game and the run game. there was no reason we shouldn't have been able to shut them down. this was a collapse by the coaching staff. i'm not bothered by the fact we lost, as much as i am the way we were completely dominating the game and just gave it away...
  16. i can't believe how awful this guy is. he was no where near the reciever or the ball last night again. if this guy was a 7th round pick instead of a 2nd round pick, he wouldn't even be on the team, they would have cut his ass already..
  17. tim lewis can prove something to us tonight. i want to see what kind of game he can call with a "patchwork" defense. while the bears are not the colts by any means, i am still a bit worried due to the injury situation. i wanna see tl mix it up a bit tonight using some exotic blitz schemes, and giving different looks. i just hope he doesn't play conservative, i think that would be the wrong approach. grossman will make mistakes if he's under pressure. if our front four is not getting it done, he must find other ways to bring the pressure. i have talked a lot of shit about lewis, rightfully so, but he has certainly changed my opinon as of late, and if he can find a way to make this defense work tonight i will be really impressed.
  18. that's ok though....i'd rather him and everyone else who's hurt be healthy come playoff time. no need to rush him back. we are still in great position.
  19. i don't think ward can handle it.he has not proved that he can return kicks and he is not that fast. i thought jennings was the reason we cut ponder?(who i would have rather had return kicks for us than morton) i am all for taking morton out, but only for jennings or moss. we need a guy with speed.
  20. i agree, however i have watched the bears a lot last year and this. the d is good. i'm not making them out to be one of the best ever, but you can't deny they are a good unit.
  21. well i think their offense is overrated..but their d is good, make no mistake. if we were both healthy i would feel confident about this game. due to the injuries i am a little iffy, but i do think we can still win.
  22. i'm shocked ..did the giants say anything about his status?
  23. does anyone have any info on the state of this guys injury? i'm not trying to sound like an asshole here, but moss needs to suck it up and get in the game. toomers injury only facilitates the need for moss to play even more. what happens if someone else gets hurt who are we going to play? there's plax, carter, jenings, and tyree if needed. i would understand if moss got hurt playing, but the guy hasn't even seen any action besides a 5 yard dump pass. we were all excited to see what this kid can do, and we're still waiting.....
