  1. The Giants and 49ers met nearly every year during that time and it was often in the playoffs.
  2. They've remained the same?. What do you base that off?. That they lost to the Pats.? That they struggled against the Bills? Furthermore, right now what proof do you have we are better than Green Bay, they spanked us at home. No excuses.
  3. Jersey, I love ya but WTF???? Want me to go back and find the post I wrote in preseason, where I said the Giants have the capability to win the NFC East? Let's not get so out of focus here, where being objective is considered less of a Giants fan. And let's be realistic here, until we can show otherwise, every game the rest of the season for the Giants needs to be considered a big game, no exceptions. The last few years have shown that. That's not throwing a team to the Wolves. This is not a Jets fan you're talking to.
  4. It would be better for us in the long run for Dallas to beat the Eagles, so as to squash some hope that the Eagles have in getting back into the race.
  5. The Bills are not as crappy as you suggest. In fact, going to Buffalo on Dec 24th is not my idea of a soft game.
  6. Good grief, there something wrong with saying Dallas are a good team. Face facts, they are. OOPS, I'm a bad Giants fan, because saying good things about other teams somehow PREVENTS ME FROM BEING A GOOD GIANT FAN. Here's another bulletin guys, in 2 weeks, even if we beat Dallas at home, these power rankings may still say Dallas is a better team in the long haul.
  7. We are where we belong. Those 3 AFC teams would be favored over us in head to head. Dallas beat us, and Green Bay stomped us. Both Dallas and Green Bay have lost just once, we've lost twice. Are far as power rankings go, this is actually as fair as I've seen. As JR says, we were ranked too high last week. The Boo has spoken.
  8. I know Fish, let's face it, the NFL bends and shifts for marketing and exposure at the expense of the players. My point in all of this was that no matter what the weather was going to be like, that Wembley's pitch was in bad shape anyway and that if the NFL cared enough about the quality, they would have maybe held off another year. But the NFL long ago said "fuck what Boohyah from Sportswrath which is a spinoff from the Giants message boards thinks, we're going anyway". I can't win.
  9. Jay, please by all means, tell me the 5 guys you think are the best coaches in this league, I really want to see that list.
  10. Hold on................I am the King of Sportswrath, not "thought you were".
  11. Real simple Mr. Egg. If we win, you have to recognize me as the King of Sportswrath. If we lose, you don't have to. That works right?
  12. Yes, I remember you saying "I don't like Vagina, I like Dick".
  13. I heard you also recently discovered "Georgia". Good for you VG!
  14. Dude, let them stay to fuck off Old Trafford, they have enough problems come winter time with that pitch, I don't need no Fred Robbins tearing up the turf. Do you catch any soccer, you must have thought you were in some sort of vortex, being in London while Arsenal played Liverpool up north.
  15. You're right Fish, Cardiff is not as well known to us here, but I think UK will attest that Cardiff is a fine stadium and for the last few years they have used Cardiff while Wembley was been built, plus it's almost as easy to get to. For English fans, I think they wouldn't have cared where as long as they got to see the game, and for us here in the US, I'm sure nobody really gave a shit where the game was played.
  16. Well, in fairness, there are a lot of good pitches over there in Europe (many better than US). That's why I brought up Germany before, great fans, love Football, and they have fantastic playing surfaces due to the fact they had the World cup there last year and they had to upgrade all of the stadiums.
  17. If you were watching the play Badegg, you'd realize (once again everyone!!) the throw was way off. Amani was not good on Sunday, but Egg, if you think Toomer is a mediocre receiver, then you're reaching. There's no-one in your secondary that is scary, no-one. Unless you want to call Roy Williams horse collaring and laying into people on late hits scary. Forget Toomer, you can't cover Burress.
  18. I think Cardiff was also free, Wales just played their last 2 Euro qualifiers away I believe. Unless they are getting it ready for the Calzaghe - Kessler fight.
  19. they should have known better As I noted in the other post. When the new Wembley was being built, they were behind on the construction, so when the building was complete and the sod laid down, it needed time to settle, but English soccer officials wouldn't hear of it and rushed back onto the field for of all things an under 21 international. Back in May during the FA Cup final between Man Utd and Chelsea, both teams complained about the pitch, and that was in the summer and it was only soccer. Fact is the NFL had to know about this earlier and could have switched venues if needed, be it to Twickenham where the England Rugby team plays, or to Cardiff in Wales, which is a fantastic stadium and the playing surface is excellent. My point being that, even if the pitch had been dry, the playing surface probably wouldn't have held up and the NFL knew this. When I saw Strahan on the trainers table, I was ready to flip out. Sportswrath thanks Boohyah for that rambling piece of non info.
  20. I'm not interested in what you have to post if it doesn't include a picture of you showing ample cleavage. Get with the program.
  21. See what happens when I bring up St. Paddys.
  22. We're not beating anything to death Blue, it's a discussion, no harm no foul. If there wasn't any back and forth on this board there'd be very few posts. I never watched the full movie, just clips, I need to start watching movies again.
  23. That's a fair point Lug, but he's missing chip shots. If he felt that he wasn't in the right frame of mind, he should have said so.
  24. The Rams could be the worst team in the NFL right now. Blue, you clearly said, "did he even jump for the ball", so I'm not sure what you wanted me to pick up on. Now you are saying that the jump was pathetic. Blue, he was wide open and Eli had time to make the play, he didn't. rain or no rain. Amani played a poor game overall yesterday but that sure as hell wasn't his fault on that throw.
