  1. WTF??? My posts are brilliant................like Guinness!!!
  2. BigBlue, he did jump and reach for it. However, if the ball was thrown right HE SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO LEAVE HIS FEET. It was a bad throw guys. This is not an Eli hatefest, and if you think it is let me counteract by saying that I was impressed that Eli pulled the ball down and ran with it, which is something he wouldn't do in previous years, and I was very encouraged by this development.
  3. Nesta, seriously, wet ball, muddy ball. If you think that pass got away from Eli then you're making excuses for him. That was an awful throw. Toomer couldn't have been more open and all it need was a soft throw over the middle, he gunned it.
  4. We were a Tynes chip shot field goal from now been shut out. Still, we made awful hard work of it.
  5. Both teams is the key term Nas. And Eli overthrowing Amani Toomer wide open in the endzone by about a yard high has little to do with weather, that was an awful pass.
  6. Possibly, but my point is, when you drop the ball, you look for excuses, and one that is often pointed out is gloves. It's a crock, explain Ted Ginn's catch.
  7. The whole "field" thing, is overated. It was the same for both teams. Cleo Lemon clearly had problems throwing and fielding the ball yesterday and even one slipped out of his hands. Eli throwing errant passes over guys heads yesterday had nothing to do with weather, he threw bad passes that's all. Some of those passes that he hit that were dropped were simply mistakes. These guys have played in rain before. Pro footballers have the best of everything, they wear the best gloves, wear undershirts with long sleeves to help grip a ball when caught. They even have glove heaters for Christ sakes "glove heaters!!!".
  8. We did enough to win the game yesterday. Just enough. Again, going abroad like this and with all the distractions was more in the Dolphins favor than ours, because they simply had no pressure and had nothing to lose. What's wrong with Tynes now, is the same problem we had with Feely last year. Coughlin has lost confidence in him or is very close to it. So in a situation where we are in range for a 40-45 yard field goal, or a 4th and 3 or 4, Coughlin is going to be tempted to take a chance.
  9. I believe there will be plenty of people out there that will have us as favorites for the next game.
  10. When the old Eli came out against the Texans last year, good Eli never came back.
  11. or not. That was one of the hardest games to watch ever. Just think that if the Dolphins had one good player on offense today we may have lost that game. First off, let me say one thing about the pitch today. some of you are claiming they should find a better field the next time. Well let's not hope there's a next time in that case. The fact is that if the NFL cared about playing games all over the world, then that game today should have been played in Germany ( sorry UK Giants fan). It's the least they could have done for all the germans who did everything in their power to support the NFL Europe and are eduacated fans. And the field is prepared for soccer, which means the cut of grass is short. Another thing the NFL should have considered was that ever since Wembley was opened, they've been having ground problems and that they felt it would take a few years for the ground to settle down. Eli was so -so. He looked a little distracted if you ask me, some of his passes today he missed were way off. Then again there were some brutal drops and Amani in particular was poor. I wish when Plax catches the ball, he'd just turn and run upfield, time and time again he cuts back to try and get the edge for extra yards when if he just turned when he caught it he would already have it. It was a day to run the ball and we did that well. Jacobs is starting to motor now, and watching him run makes you remember the old days when smashmouth ruled. Terrible disclipline today and I felt bad for poor Droughans who made 2 great runs and had them called back. Our offensive line is just playing with teams. Can't say much about the front 4 today, the conditions did not make it easy to get the edge. what the fuck was that dance Fred Robbins did after the sack. I thought maybe he was spazzing. Pierce is showing no leadership with these stupid late hits. The guy was down today, with a Giant on his back and he dives in on him. Nice pursuit sack by Kawika, who is playing steady every week now. Today we were told that Lawrence Tynes was born in scotland, let's hope that he gets a rail ticket home to Scotland instead of a plane ticket. Oh yes, thank you Jay Feely for reminding us that you weren't really worth keeping. Seriously, is Vanderjagt that much of a tool that a team like us can't place a call to him??. I thought Feagles did a nice job punting today. Tom and the coaching staff get a pass today. You knew the Dolphins were bad but that they would want to rebound from that disaster last week, and as we can see from today, the Pats are just fucking scary now. Still this is a real bad team and we made awful hard work of it. But these games are big distractions and to get the win is good enough in this situation, so Coughlin gets an OK from me for getting the win. Hope Uk and Aussie had a good time at the game.
  12. Easy Storm, I said "some American". I don't think the Irish car bomb was invented by someone in Ireland. The Irish Flag was.
  13. I'd like a picture of Big Ben please, at exactly 3.05pm. Thank you.
  14. Rik, we had that shit a lot, but we used to get it sliced. Didn;t make it taste better mind you,but I have to say there were plenty of days when it was between 2 slices of bread. Smelled and tasted awful.
  15. Yes, they get the "IG". Actually Guinness would be a good selection, it's a good builder upper.
  16. The answer is No!. And that's a very annoyed no, not at you Golfin, but in general. In Ireland, it's Bacon and Cabbage, and that's a lump of salted cured bacon, not sliced. It's boiled in the pot with the cabbage and the meat is delicous. I don't like cabbage myself (as Newman said "vile weed"). What annoyes me about the whole "Corned Beef and Cabbage" deal is that someone in America felt this was a good idea and has convinced everyone in the country that most Irish people eat this all the time and that on St. patricks day that's all they eat. Got news for you, they don't, in fact the Irish themselves don't celebrate St. patricks day anywhere near the extent that Americans do, not even close, it's a national holiday and it's more a religous holiday. I will say that Corned beef does exist in Ireland, but it's more of a type of cheap luncheon meat that you usually get at the deli or pre packaged and it's sliced. Sorry dude, but the whole corned beef and cabbage deal is a sore point for me.
  17. One time Jonas Seawright farted while blocking for a Jay Feely field goal, and the ball sailed over the goalposts behind him, such is the might..........of the mighty Seawright
  18. This thread needs to be changed to "the Jay Feely appreciation thread". Or as Fish likes to point out because he is a saddo, I would probably write it "THE JAY FEELY APPRECIATION THREAD!!!!!!!". Maybe Justin Tuck can kick for us. Then he'd truly be a hero.
  19. You're right, however Charlton is at home to QPR. League Championship baby!!!
  20. UK/ Aussie, have a good time at the game. Enjoy the new stadium (heard it's the bomb). And while you are there, why don't you guys go see catch a soccer match to fill up your Saturday. Fulham needs fans.
  21. Right now, based on form, you'd have to say the only ones that should make it is Plax and Osi. Eli won't get in over Favre and Romo and I believe that if Tampa has a winning record then Garcia will get it over him. Shockey could get in because he's been there before, but not over Witten. Pierce has a chance as a backup. I think this is the first year that Strahan probably won't be considered. I can't see them even consider jacobs unless he goes crazy the rest of the year seeing as he already missed 4 games, and "he's not Tiki". Trust me, he needs another year. If they had any clue though, Snee would get in.
  22. Jay Feely, made Bjorn Nittmo's left leg, look like his right.
