  1. He's better off at defensive end obviously, but he could do a Tuck and play some DT especially in third and long situations. Yes he would be undersized but his speed would counter that. He simply has too many problems in coverage, IMO. Strahan and Osi will need a blow in every game so there's going to be plenty of chances for him to play.
  2. Burn, I believe you are 9 hours ahead in Turkey.
  3. Blu, he was doing fine as long as he was in blitz packages but after that he wasn't making significant progress at all. I agree 100% that the experiment should end, it should never have started in the first place.
  4. Forget the whole Shockey can be replaced by Boss, that's not happening. Boss has shown some good stuff so far, but he can't block worth a shit right now, even if he's 6-6 and 253 AllStar, I mean the defensive ends he has to block are almost that size so you're not making a point with that. Here are more interesting battles in training camp next year involving this years rookies. Aaron Ross vs Webster, only because it could be Webster's last chance to make an impression. Alford vs Robbins: If Alford shows improvement in his game in training camp, Robbins may be surplus to demands Dahl/Johnson vs Gibril/Butler: To me this is a serious competition, both Dahl and Johnson didn't look out of place while they started and have earned their minutes. Butler has been very so-so all year and Gibril will be looking for a nice longer contract. Me thinks Gibril will be a goner. Steve Smith vs Sinorice Moss: A healthy Smith is better than a healthy Moss by the looks of things.
  5. Sorry, my hopes in writing this were not to offend Nesta, but in the end, I figured I didn't mind doing so.
  6. If Mitchell misses the game that means the run defense suffers, if madison misses that means Corey webster will start and he gets burned too easily. Hopefully though it won't be that bad. The league has a lot of clout in determining what we did. If Coughlin benched the starters, it's very possible that we'd pay for it down the line somehow, be it future national game exposure or something. I agree with you on the "old" Pats deal. It wouldn't surprise me if that came out one day. Not only that but the older guys seemed to be the ones with emotional issues. You'd think that after all this time that Seau would learn to stop yapping and be a leader out there and yet he's the one that has to be restrained.
  7. Randoff, you need to calm down and read what I said. Do you think I condone what Wilfork did?. Seriously!. Mort said on ESPN the league will look into it. He'll probably get fined. The Giant players were barking plenty of shit to the Pats all night too. And if I'm right I saw several pats get shoved to the ground also, Ellis Hobbs clearly got pushed down by Plax at one stage.
  8. When ws the game out of reach Seph?. With 5 minutes to go we have the ball and are 10 points down. We only lost by 3. I mean don't blame the Pats for the fact it seemed our offense was in quicksand calling plays on that last drive.
  9. Steve Smith is going to be a good wideout on this team. Don't forget he's barely played this year. If he had been healthy we'd have seen none of Moss and furthermore he would have had more passes his way because his instincts are better.
  10. I think it was so obvious the NFL put pressure on both teams to play at full strength last night for history sake. I'm not going to go gaga about our performance, we played well. Too bad we had to be "up" for the game. Rather, I'm going to wait and see what we do against Tampa next week because that one matters. If the Giants play like that next week, we should have no worries, but chances are they won't. O'Hara, madison and Mitchell all got hurt last night. By the way: Both teams got called for 5 penalties each. If you're still upset about the Patsfest after watching the intro to the game, then shame on you. Also Collinsworth wasn't bad at all, he gave Eli and the Giants their props and guess what folks, Tom Brady is a great QB. The NFL should however, drug test Rodney Harrison right away, that fucker was already caught with HGH and he looks like he's still on something. And the NFL needs to fine Woolfork heavy for trying to poke Jacobs eye out like he did. Onto Tampa, I'm glad this shit is over.
  11. Yeah, lost to the Bills in the Superbowl decider and Simms got hurt in that game.
  12. Blu, there are people out there every year throwing money at Giants season tickets holders to get their seats, and those are some of the guys selling them. There are people out there keeping their season ticket rights for the simple fact they hand over the tickets to some tout to sell. I know someone who has tickets for the season and sells the November /December games because it gets too cold to go. It's hard to blame people for not trying to get some money back for tickets if they can. The Giants(NFL) force season ticket holders to hand over full price $90-$100, to go to 2 meaningless preseason games, tickets that they have a hard time giving away. You think that's bad, wait till Mets tickets go on sale this year, and all those people (me included) trying to buy tickets for the last day at Shea.
  13. Wrong you idiot, it was Philly, then we lost the famous 7-3 game to the 49ers. Who else did we lose to that season?
  14. This is not our Superbowl, no offense Nas, but you are crazy to think otherwise. If we beat the Pats and then by chance WIN THE SUPERBOWL, are you still going to feel the same way?
  15. What matters for the Giants rep is that we are not hearing once again, how Eli/ Coughlin/ Giants in that manner, could not get out of the first round of the playoffs. We did our job, and not only that we already know who we are playing in the first round, so we have an added advantage over other teams in that we have 2 weeks to prepare and not one, makes me feel like that this game is a waste, plain and simple. If Coughlin plays the reserves on Saturday, I for one will pat Coughlin on the back and thank him.
  16. The Giants did what they had to do and they only have to answer to themselves. 15 other teams had a similar responsibility to beat the Pats and couldn't. The Giants should do what they have to to ensure their best chance in the playoffs. If Jacobs got hurt, or Strahan, or any other starter, then Coughlin would be hung out to dry by everyone here.
  17. There was nothing in college to suggest strongly that Ben was the better prospect than Eli. Again, if Pittsburgh had been able to draft Eli, they would have. It just hasn't worked out for us.
  18. ....if you've been a fan of the Giants for a month. After it started out so badly and we had to catch a break to get back into the game, yesterday was a good day in terms of guys coming up big in limited opportunity. Jacobs was great yesterday, Bradshaw arguably was better. Toomer was excellent. Madison actually caught an int this week only to be bettered by the fact that the God's spoke and Cory Webster not only caught an INT but returned it for a touchdown, in what only can be described as THE GREATEST PLAY IN GIANTS HISTORY.....if you've been a fan of the Giants for a month. I mean, hell Zak DeOssie got in a play at special teams, not bad for a 4th rounder. Butler and Gibril played better yesterday becuase the heat is on now seeing as Dahl and Johnson showed they belong. Kawika Mitchell was heads up, Pierce played well. The ends got pressure on Edwards, not enough to sack him, but he got trigger happy. The Bills wide receivers were a disgrace yesterday. The Giants turned the offensive playcalling over to Spagnolo!!. Feagles didn't get hurt thank God. Tynes only had one kick out of bounds . The Giants threw Gatorade on Coughlin, Coughlin smiled and gave high fives. Everything in Giant land was happy happy on that gloomy day in Buffalo. Nothing could spoil it. Unless you're named Eli, then you can. Brutal, is all I can say. I so wanted Eli to turn this around this season. But 3 botched snaps and another slip out of his hands and another bobbled snap to Jacobs to bail him out. To watch the rest of the team raise their game and then watch the face of the team produce one of the most uninspired efforts ever, was a huge disappointment. Nothing, absolutely nothing in terms of determination, grit. It doesn't matter what he "has', his talent. It's absolutely pointless if you have 'pop warner' moments on the field. Fuck the ball being wet, on the conditions. A snap from the center is inches and to drop it like that was inexcusable to me. And yet, not one person on the sidelines gets in his face. They've tried everything, giving his a captaincy, given him a QB coach, given him no competent backup to pressure him, and treated him with kids gloves. And this is what they are getting back. I didn't agree with Reese's commenting in the press about him and still don't. But there has to be major concerns about the future. Again, I hope Eli would do a "fuck Boohyah", but the more I give him room the more exasperated when I see performances like that yesterday. You look at Edwards and you say, "sure he threw picks out there, but his wide receivers sucked", but his teamates would recognize the effort and stand behind him. But how much do you stand behind a guy who takes a timeout and then comes in an fumbles the snap in the opponents redzone. Speaking to someone last week who is a friend of someone in the org, feeling was the team was not happy recently and it wasn't Coughlin, who they say has tried to adjust. Sorry for the rant, overall I'm glad, but just not as hopeful as I should be. As for next week, as Moose Johnson put it (frankly he a Kenny Albert suck royally), it's not our responsibility to try and stop the Pats, so here's to Jared Lorenzen's first NFL start this Saturday. Side note, with all the bad uniforms in the league, the Bills has to be the worst. And to think they have one of the coolest retro shirts they wear twice a season.
  19. Nas, the game will be on a local channel, I believe either 4 or 11. It's the rule.
  20. Bradshaw's running today was as impressive as anything Tiki has done the last few years. and the way he acclerated away from the Bills was stunning. Fucker runs with power too. I was not a supporter when he was drafted but if he proves me wrong, then oh well.
  21. The Dog has a hard time abbrievating. NPUFL. However the Dog was humorous. The Boo thought it was funny.
  22. I could have been a great athlete if not for the fact that I was completely useless at sports.
  23. I can fix Eli Manning. I have the technology. I have 6 million dollars. Wait, that'll only pay for a mechanical thumb these days. I guess I can't fix Eli Manning.
  24. Bills are out, but Kevin Everett is coming back so it could be a very pumped Bills team up there on Sunday.
