  1. CHASE BLACKBURN Not a very good bank.
  2. TBC, I don't think Strahan is complaining too much these days. The face isn't tremendous or anything, but the body is killer.
  3. Gorilla, you forgot the dots man. Good job in forgetting.
  4. Justin Tuck is the MVP this season. He's the only one who has been good in every game and has had impact. I don't think you can say that about any other player.
  5. Kenny Albert should be fired. He sucks royally and is hard to listen to. The nut fell far from the tree on that one.
  6. I bet if Jeff Garcia needed 7 yards and got 7.0000001 yards, Barrett would find that just as annoying. What a dumb comment, you got beat, deal with it.
  7. i've given Hedgecock his due previously, but apart from the block on the Jacobs touchdown I didn't think he was overly effective. And I thought that when Bradshaw was running he got a lot of his yards after contact. Again I wasn't too impressed bringing in a guy that the Rams cut loose, but he has been a good help this year. Finn is toast.
  8. Cleveland, I didn't realize you got him for us BigBlue. Thanks a lot for that!!!
  9. First off, huge props to the following. Ruegamer: Apart from the play in the 1st quarter where Eli was sacked, he did a solid job in an underated position, we never missed a beat on the line. Webster: Deservedly he got the shaft from everyone, perhaps he got the message with the losing of his job, but he has reacted very well, he's been playing well on special teams. Yesterday he covered Joey Galloway extremely well, so much so that by the second quarter, the commentators were playing up Galloway's injury as an excuse. Truth be told, that performance yesterday, might just give Jerry Reese an inkling that maybe Sam Madison is expendable at year end. Tynes: Seriously, the laugh out loud moment of the year, how do you botch a fumble recovery so badly!. I swear this guy might have improved this year, but he has to go at year end and get some kicker in here with a clue. It was so funny to hear Aikman and Buck simply crack up at that, how could you not? Couldn't ask for more from the offense yesterday. The line weathered the storm early and put a beating on that defensive line yesterday. Been hearing about that Bucs linebacker crew all week and they couldn't do shit. We never panicked when the run couldn't get going, it's a little disappointing to watch Jacobs tip toe through holes that aren't there when he's big enough to hit guys and grind out the extra one of two yards. By the time he gets to the line of scrimmage, he's lost momnetum. I know you've got to read your blocks but he's just hesitating a little too much. The wide receivers were clearly pumped for this game and aside from Smith's drop, they couldn't have done a whole lot better. Toomer especially. I really like Smith and hope he gets a full season, I believe he's the real deal. Boss has done very well and it even looked like he was doing a good job blocking. Bradshaw was great in that he alone killed the Bucs spirit in the 4th. What a great 7th round draft we had this year. What can you say about Eli?. I mean I beat him up in the Buffalo game and I believe I was right in doing so, and then the last 2 games he's the secong coming. I'll take consistancy over one great game/one disapperance act every second game. But if he can just do that yesterday against, we'll win the game. Again, it's simply managing the game, we all know he has lapses, but if he could control it to one or two a game, then I'll take it. Yesterday he was pump faking and looking off guys and it was great shit to watch. Defensive line put a hurting on Garcia, seriously every time they hit him, you could see it on garcia's face that he was just a little deflated. One roughing the passer was not bad considering the amount of times our guys buried his ass. I know that TD"s and INT's get all the highlight reels on TV, but Strahan's sack yesterday on Garcia was a major highlight in the way he owned the RT, kid was flailing around like he had no idea what hit him, great stuff!. Our secondary sucked, simply sucked, and if we suck like that next week against Dallas, we'll own them. You hardly heard Ross's name all day, which is good. I said what needs to be said about Webster, but Butler and Gibril have played a lot better recently and that to me has to be because of the play of Dahl and Johnson while both were injured. No harm. Special teams have been much improved this year, our guys have been very aggressive, well except for McQuarters. He's put back there to be a safety valve so as not to fumble but I don't get why he isn't coming up under those shorter punts and calling fair catch. He's letting them hit the ground and not one has bounced in our favor. Feagles was okay on punts but gets kudos for handling the bad snap on the field goal. Zak Deossie had a half tackle........Zak De Ossie is God!!! :worshippy: Gilbride and Spagnolo called a great game yesterday, credit where credit is due on Gilbride, we've been burying him for weeks. But you have to say now that Coughlin has done the job. Sure he's deserves some of the shit he gets, he's still pouts and whines out there, he's probably best on the road as he spends more time coaching and less time imploring the crowd. But he's been better this year no question. Fact is next week, we can win this game and truth be told, he could be the guy that makes it happen. The problem with Tom is what can he do against Coaches like Bellichek and Dungy, guys who are very bright and innovative and who spend less time on control as Coughlin does and more time on winning games. Out of Holmgren/McCarthy and especially Phillips, there's not one guy there that you can say is head and shoulders going to outcoach him. Whether we like it or not, he's getting his extension. By the way folks, Aikman praised the Giants all day yesterday, keep it in reserve for next week. Mark it down, we're beating the Cowboys.
  10. Prior to last year, Shockey and Burress were considered the cancers on this team and it was Tiki holding it together, that's all you heard on here last year. Now Tiki is gone and the cancer is gone all of a sudden. Personally, I think all has changed since Frank Walker left.
  11. I haven't forgotten Joe Morris and Rodney Hampton or OJ Anderson. Why should I?. You can't take away what the guy did for us overall.
  12. Tiki had nothing to do with Strahan talking about Plax and blasting reporters, Shockey blasting the coaches to the media, Shockey and Burress throwing their arms up at Eli, Pierce talking shit to the press. Yes Tiki probably caused some problems, but everybody forgets he clearly wasn't the only one.
  13. The whole "Tiki was a cancer" is so fucking ridiculous. If this team is finally coming together, then it's about fucking time. You take Tiki off the team the last few years and we're picking in the top 3 every year. Jerry Rice is a dick, Deion Sanders is a dick, Michael Irwin is a dick. Would you like me to list other hall of famers who are dicks.............how long have we??
  14. already has us picking the CB from Kansas
  15. Is that the Cowboys simply overachieved all year and that this game was more indicative of their ability. I predict an easy second round loss for the boys over whatever opponent they face, there's no need to predict if they are capable of winning 2 games in a row over anybody, it simply won't happen. That's what you get by playing some teams with a winning record. Watch out for my weekly putdown of the Cowboys, here every week, first thing every Monday morning.
  16. Even Art Shell got re-hired before Fassel.
  17. I don't like Billick either, but I think he's going to get a new job pretty easy. He's got one Superbowl and several winning seasons on his resume. With Atlanta and Miami already empty, I think he's got a pretty good chance to be on the sidelines again next year. Truthfully he just wore out his welcome in Baltimore, and that team is going downhill pretty fast. Even though I think Billick's firing of Fassel pretty much fucked Fassel's chances of getting a job right now in the NFL.(remember how he fucked Matt Cavanuagh also by bringing in Fassel as an "advisor"). Fassel should easily have been able to get a head coaching job in college. In fact he may be better suited for college as he's more of a teacher. I also believe that the Giants fucked him over when he left. I hate bringing this up, but at that seminar I was at a few years back, when Fassel's name was brought up (he had just left), there was a lot of sniggering and eyes raising to the heavens by the staff, almost like "oh that guy" and a lot of Coughlin will straighten this place out. I also couldn't get over the fact that in Accorsi's book, fassel's 7 year career got maybe 3 lines overall along with the comment, that he didn't think we had an offensive strategy in place for the superbowl, which was pretty damning if you ask me considering I don't know how you plan for 4 INT's. I hope he gets a second chance, I liked Jim as a coach.
  18. Well didn't Fassel have to take over the offensive reigns from Payton, because he had the fucking players in motion all over the place before the snap only for teams to figure they were going to go right back to their original position at the snap. payton got way too much credit IMO. Billick buried Fassel by firing him. But there's nothing to say he shouldn't be coaching college at least, that I don't understand.
  19. If Romo doesn't fumble the snap last year, maybe Dallas win the Superbowl. And I'm not poking fun at that but basically countering the non point you're making. I understand the "what if's " my friend, but what is life without him. Fact is, and say what you wish, if the Giants play to their potential, then they should be able to beat those teams. Was there not games this year, where you said to yourself that your Cowboys could have played better?. Did you not think that if they had played up to their potential, they would have beaten the Eagles at home perhaps. And as for the Dolphins, Badegg, playing at a higher level wouldn't help them. Shitty players, shitty GM, shitty coaching, poor drafts, trading stars. They played at their highest level, it won them one game.
  20. Bad Egg, if you think that Giant fans, looking at how they played the Pats, sat there and discounted the Skins and Vikings losses this year, then so be it, continue to think I'm that ignorant. If nothing else it showed what they could and should have done. And the funny thing is that every one of those teams you listed as sucked, Dallas played also. You lost at home to the Eagles, you scraped by Buffalo up there, you scraped by Detroit also. You want to keep nitpicking at prior results?. Let's face it Bad, a Giants team playing to the level it should play at, can beat Seattle/ Tampa. For crying out loud think about it for one second, consider the shitty divisions that both of those teams played in and they come out of them 9-7 and 10-6. Whoop de fucking doo. The NFC East teams were no lower than 7-9, clearly the strongest division and there's 3 teams in the playoffs. Now think for one second why the Giants (who clearly play better on the road) should fear Seattle or Tampa?. Let me but it to you another way. Do you think Green Bay or Dallas would prefer to play those 2, or the Skins and the Giants in the next round?. If you think the latter, you're a fool. Green Bay don't want the Giants and the Cowboys certainly don't want the Skins right now. I like our chances with Green Bay, why shouldn't I, if we even improve 50% over our earlier meeting it'll be a close game. And to beat, yes, we will have to play at a level we haven't reached this season, but I truly believe we'll be better than the other 2 games. By the way, you have said the Giants are a bad team, so let's stay off the fence here.
  21. Tampa Bay: Yes Seattle: Absolutely Green Bay: Yes. Dallas: Perhaps, especially if it's the same Dallas team that's being playing the last few weeks. It doesn't matter about winning or losing records, on the road is on the road, Giants are 7-0 on the road since the Dallas game. You cannot discount that.
  22. Badegg, I would love to hear your theory about how if the Giants beat one of those teams listed, that they won't beat the other. Is it a rule?. Will they not be allowed to beat another team?. Perhaps Goodell will place a call to Coughlin, telling him that it's not fair to beat Dallas now that you've beaten Green Bay, so stop it. And based on this theory it would seem we only have a defense. I'll tell Jacobs he needn't bother showing up.
  23. Maybe Peyton should call him with tips before every game.
  24. I love you Nas, I see Shockey doesn't get the "eli" pass with you. I got an idea, we should play that stud "Fat Lorenzen" at Tight end and get Boss and Shockey to hell outta here.
  25. Fish, I meant Ross and Webster to battle over starting jobs. I wasn't even counting Joseph in the equation, why would they even consider bringing him back. I see him as a reclaimation project on some other team, maybe the Texans, that's where some of our rejects go.(Demps, Dayne). The way I look at Robbins is this, You know how there's one or two guys you just wonder why we released them in the offseason, I think that guy is Robbins this year. I feel the Giants are going to think that a combination of Alford/Cofield and Tuck may be enough. Robbins needs too much motivation for a veteran. I think we got to give Smith more than one to see if he has an issue staying healthy. Moss has proven otherwise.
