  1. Clayton is going to have to step. He was pretty good with the Bucs. Was their No.2. WTF happened to him?
  2. Eli looking atrocious is probably because of having to work with different WRs almost every different week. He will need to get into rhythm and get his timing right by playing with his usual core for a couple weeks. We cant afford a game like this against Philly though. That is a must win for us. GB helped us a little with its egg laying prowess in Detroit.
  3. What happened to the guy who was the strongest in the draft doing the maximum number of 225 benchpress reps? Is he playing?
  4. We play a 4-3. He might be a good fit - strictly based on his ability and skills as a player. But its a huge gamble whether you want bring on board that attitude, whining, mental headaches and other distractions.
  5. Id take Plax back in a heartbeat. He would also play with a chip on his shoulder and has a chance to earn his respect back. Hell....Vick did a lot of way nastier things and he is making the most of his second chance. This bum just shot himself by mistake. Id love to have him. Nicks might be developing into a great player etc etc yes, but as of now....all the WRs we have are lightyears behind what Plax brings to the table. Id WANT him back as a Giant.
  6. Shouldve signed Randy.....I wanted him from the start - irrespective of the injuries to our WRs.
  7. In all fairness - One of his INTs was purely the WR fucking up.
  8. If we dont go through them.....they go ahead and do it themselves. A Dez Bryant would be nice
  9. What is this 'Wide Receiver' thing you speak of? The Giants have this "Wide Receiver" thing is it?
  10. Hmm...youve got a point. Ok maybe not Fewell but at this moment (maybe end of season if the Giants fuck shit up this season as well), who would be the prime candidate? Would we go for Gruden or Cowher?
  11. Hmm....its beginning to look like Coughlin didnt have much of a role in Tiki's case at all. It was all about the player himself realizing his flaw and correcting the technique. Its inexcusable to see so many players hold the ball like ass-wipes and fumbling repeatedly. Tiki corrected his own mistakes. These bums need to do the same. Having said that, this team has begun its spiral once again. Not that it cannot be corrected, but with the injuries I find it hard to see it happening. Its time Coughlin is let go and Fewell given the reins to this team/
  12. Oh ok. I didnt know about the program on NFL Network. I dont live in the US. I agree - one of the best coaches of all time - not just a Giants coach.
  13. Vick was scary good in the last game. He has progressed greatly as a passer and with the speed Jackson & Maclin bring, it will bring a mismatch - they might both command double teams. We need to negate their speed by throwing the kitchen sink at Vick. Im scared about this game because we've always struggled against mobile QBs - McNabb for example. Will be interesting. Their defense is nothing to write home about, so we need our offense to fire on all cylinders forcing the Eagles towards long passes and thats where we'll get them.
  14. The Eagles offense is scary good. They are probably the fastest offense in the league. Jackson is lightning and we saw last year - I dont think anybody on our defense is even close to his speed. The Giants have always - ALWAYS - had problems containing running QBs. We will need our pass-rush to have the game of its life and lay some wrecking ball level hits on Vick early so he thinks twice about breaking into a run. The Eagles are a good team and we are too beat up on our offensive line and are making too many mistakes and doing stupid shit. That said, the Eagles are only an OK-OK defense, we will need to jump ahead early and then pound the ball. NO FUCKING DROPPED PASSES!!!
  15. Im telling you that cocklick Jerry Jones already has Fewell seeing big $ down in Dallas. He has probably roped him in off-line already that he can join as soon as this season is over. Thats fucking why Fewell agreed to fuck-up the defensive scheme for this game and let the ass-wipe Cowboys win this one as a return gesture!!! Im telling you man....its gonna happen! Watch!!!
  16. I honestly think this was one of those games which was decided because of the Vegas betting lines. Can you imagine the money that was lost because of that game today? And I think Jerry Jones paid us close to $1 billion requesting us to please throw this game because he didnt want the #1 team in the NFC to deliver a franchise demoralizing beat-down on a piss-poor varsity team. A lot of the calls were questionable, a lot of our defensive schemes were questionable, a lot of the play-calling was questionable. This was certainly not the team that played the last 5 weeks. I honestly think this one was fixed.
  17. No Jim. You misunderstood me. I didnt cite you as not being objective. That was directed more towards people who were putting Eli and Peyton in the same breath or ranking Peyton 4th and shit like that. I only cited you as an example of people having their personal preferences once it comes to the QB carousel - for example - you feel Rodgers is better, some might think Brees is better, I feel Roethlisberger and Rivers are over-rated, Dallas douchebags think Romo is the greatest thing since canned beer etc etc. The Dog has been objective to the extent of not mentioning something retarded like Matt Moore has got the best skill set or some other horseshit - he called a lot of things as he saw it. But then again, he doesnt want to admit which team he is a fan of, and without contributing anything significant to any conversation, he just sits around 'critiquing' others' posts. I disagreed with him coming out of the wood work to say that Eli was inconsistent and he started putting Kyle Orton in the same breath as Eli while at the same time saying putting Eli and Peyton in the same breath was stupid. He says some incredibly stupid things as well while belligerently insisting that he is objective etc. But in this thread, for the most part I wont argue with his analysis except for a few areas which I highlighted in my previous post.
  18. Hmm...to be honest, I have to admit that the Dog has been quite objective in this thread. A lot of you others have not been. The argument for best QB will never be settled because there is and always will be a little bit of rose shades coming in while viewing a QB that you like in your mind. Like one of the posters said - Id only be OK if Eli was traded for Rodgers. I wouldnt. I dont think Rodgers is better than Eli. Eli will end his career as a Giant. Where I dont agree with The Dog is his 'objective assessment' of Eli - I think you referred to him as a Ok-ok QB who is inconsistent and gets a lot more credit than he deserves? Pray tell me Dog, outside of this message board - when has Eli ever been given any more credit than he deserved? Infact, if you follow most of the Sports websites - Im sure you do - youll realise he doesnt get half the credit he deserves. Infact, the entire Giants team in general doesnt get a lot of credit - and Im personally OK with that. These fuckers play much better when they are not raised onto a pedestal. CNNSI, ESPN, NFL.COM - all these websites are anointing Rivers as the next best thing since sliced bread and about how great a QB he is. He had the luxury of Gates, LDT, VJ to choose as his weapons and he played mostly in warm weather - he hasnt achieved much. People hang on to Rodgers's jockstrap like he is primed to explode onto the scene - agreed his team has had a bunch of injuries this year - but his play wasnt too spectacular before that either. He is a fantastic QB dont get me wrong - but the credit those 2 (Rivers and Rodgers) receive - Eli doesnt even get a small percentage for that. Peyton is undoubtedly #1 - his play is on a completely different dimension. The drop off to second would be Brady - his achievements and his play cannot be overlooked and he has been clutch. Not so much the last couple years - he has lost games due to errors - but he is just that good. Brees #3 - He is just awesome. He just carried on where he left off at San Diego and took it one step further. AJ Smith was just a stupid fucking imbecile - but he had to choose between 2 QBs with amazing skill sets who hadnt achieved much - maybe he made the wrong choice - only time will tell. The remaining is just carousel that can be adjusted based upon who is looking and where he is looking - stats, wins, intangibles, instincts etc etc - but I do know that these QBs belong in that list - Eli, Rivers, Rodgers, Roethlisberger - 2-3 years back maybe we would be speaking about Carson Palmer, Cowboys fans might want to throw in Romo, Orton because of his stats this year etc - but I only think those 4 belong in the next level. Eli and Ben have the wins and clutch performances to back it up. Rivers and Rodgers have the stats. We are not even taking into account the team that each QB was handed when he took over. Big Ben was handed an outstanding Steelers team with a punishing defense and running game. Rivers was handed a super talented Chargers team with a load of weapons. Rodgers had the option of learning from the best for a while before being handed the reins from Favre to a very very good Packers team. Eli on the other hand was handed a team in the doldrums with Tiki and Strahan agreed - spiralling - hurtling downwards at an alarming rate. I think he makes the case for quite a consistent QB. I wont put him in the same breath as Peyton - I wouldnt put anyone for that matter - but for you to put Eli where you are putting him also is a tad unwarranted I feel.
  19. This is a horseshit argument. Ben got his first ring when he played like a retarded douchebag on the field and did everything in his power to lose the game, but thanks to a killer D and the fact that all the Refs were wearing Black and Yellow that night, Ben doesnt get his first ring. The second one he deserved. But as of now, Peyton far above the rest. Then Brady, Brees. Eli, Ben, Rivers, Rodgers is a toss-up. Either could be great on their day.
  20. Id pick up Moss in a heartbeat. Randy Moss for 6 mil a year? Absolutely! He just needs to be on a winning team....and when on a winning team he goes apeshit on the field and burns defenses. We are a winning team. Unlike Minnesota. I doubt Moss would complain here. But I highly doubt we will get him.....
  21. Go to Kahndom. Its not the entire game, but the dude puts up extended highlights lasting 20-30 min of all plays. Pretty good stuff. Thats what I was watching for a while.
  22. Exactly! Its fine in between plays etc etc....but just before the snap it hangs and then streams again once the play is complete. Its OK. Atleast I get to watch the Giants live....
