I think the Giants have gotten Bulluck purely as an un-official on-the-field LB coach. He maybe has a couple years left in which, using his leadership skills and vast experience, he can coach the bunch we have this year and the one we will be picking in the top 2 rounds of next year and then retire. A very good insurance policy at the price at which we got him. Good signing IMO

I agree. He got too harsh a sentence for a stupid misdemeanor. People who have done worse have gotten away with much less. He was a corner stone of our offense without whom we would have not gotten anywhere. This is akin to bashing Tiki Barber the moment he left the Giants and ran his mouth a little. He is serving his sentence but his service to the Giants was invaluable. I for one would be happy if he rejoins the Giants.

Lol! Those guys have the combined IQ of an ashtray and doorknob. Boss's blocking is average at best. Shockey's blocking currently far far superior to Boss's - also he is considerably stronger too. Boss's blocking might reach a higher level this year or a couple years from now, but currently, Shockey is a far superior tight-end. We got rid of him yes, but I wouldnt call Boss an 'upgrade' over Shockey. He is actually a downgrade but with far better attitude and no case of the mental madness.

He might have a weaknesses but I dont think 'Out of shape' is one of them. He was considered a freak athlete and one of the fittest, most athletic men in the draft.

Shockey is a far superior blocker than boss. Ive seen multiple times where he would completely snap and drag the DL to the ground. He wasnt happy about the blocking initially, but later on, he improved his blocking tremendously. He only felt the Giants could have used his skills so much more. I have to admit, Fassel knew how to use him better than Coughlin can!

Come On! I can understand Shockey is no longer with the Giants and had an ugly divorce with the Giants as well.....but to say Shockey was not tough enough is not right. That SOB took some nasty hits! Anyone forget the number of times his helmet got knocked off but he would still be pounding away helmet less. He took some big time hits too and held on. Remember the first down catch against the Chargers? Not knocking on Boss, but barring his injuries because he played a little too hard, he was anyday a better TE than Boss is. Shockey was fucking tough and would not whine after big hits. The fact that he set the record at the combine with his 225 reps gives me a good feeling about his strength. Could be the stolen diamond we are looking for.

Honestly, right now, if I have a choice between Gruden and Coughlin as Head Coach - Id pick Gruden in a heartbeat! He will bring young blood, fresh ideas and new energy to the table. Coughlin, yes he was coach when we won the SB blah blah, is geriatric and I have to agree with Jack here. Gruden, like Sean Peyton, is a young dynamic coach who can take this team far, assuming Fewell does his job.

People in general try to create a sob-story out of nothing.
