right, but i think having a guy like delgado--who didn't like willie--being close to reyes is why reyes held that grudge for such a long time. i think that if delgado liked willie then reyes would've let it go a lot sooner
yep. this is after i had 15 players (that's not an exaggeration) go on the DL for me this baseball season, a month during the basketball season where i had 8 injured players at once, and last football season where 3 of my top 4 picks missed roughly half a season each. needless to say, im through with fantasy sports after this football season is over
i loved the '97 team, but last year's team was a far superior team--particularly on the offensive side of the ball--and as golfinguy said way deeper. yeah we dont have hte luxury of rotating guys in and out and keeping everyone fresh (unless strahan comes back) but tuck and kiwanuka is still a good tandem and we're most likely going to have a stronger secondary this year if ross continues to progress and phillips ends up being what it looks like he is. maybe we dont win a super bowl cuz we lose osi--but i think we're still a playoff-contending team
seriously, i hate to criticize reese and EA in the draft cuz they have done a good job the past few years but at the same time i thought our biggest need in the first round was LB those same years
yeah, and that'swhat it would've taken to keep him from retiring in the first place--giants only offered him 6.5. maybe they'll change their tune now. personally i hope they do, he's not in playing shape, but he wasn't in playing shape this time last year either
delgado wasn't one of his guys from what i hear. personally i think he dogged it, and i think reyes held such a long grudge against willie becaue of delgado's influence over him
well, i would've been WAY happier like 5 years ago, if that's what you mean. sports isn't as much of a dominant presence in my life as it was when i was growing up, but it was the first time any of my teams won while i was a fan of them so it was still pretty sweet
catcher, left field, dh, 3/5ths of your rotation--you guys are lucky you are still in contention. my team lost it's top two starters and their season was finished, you guys still have the resources to keep you afloat if you have injuries
yeah, i mean its not like they were a play-in game away from 3 straight playoff appearances last season.
ditto, hoffman blew a bunch of games right out of the gate, then peavy and young both got hurt--the latter of which was out for 3 months. the end
