i dont expect the giants to be a favorite everytime they step on the field. but IMO that game sunday was a pick 'em. i'm not knocking the steelers--they are a very good team who have a realistic shot at getting to the superbowl, but i still think the giants are better than them--and again, the steelers were at home but the giants are not your average road team.

or the giants could've run the punt back and scored, and/or scored on the next drive. or hey, let's go a little further back to the 3rd quarter when the giants were up 9-7. i mean if we end the game there, like we're hypothetically ending the game with 4 minutes left, the giants might've beaten the spread then too--which to me is way more important than the final score. wish my bookie felt that way, but he's got this weird rule where only the final score counts.

wasn't asking, voiced my opinion on it though. i know what 3 points means for the hometeam, and i didnt agree that the two teams were even. turns out they weren't all that even considering there was a 10 point swing from what was supposed to happen

dog, i can't say i blame you for lumping us all in together, but i could give two shits about any of those power rankings--not that i expect you to search all the 'whiny' rankings threads, but if you did you'd see that i dont participate in them. however, you can't say that last year's results have no bearing on the week 7 betting lines. i can't guarentee it, but i'm fairly sure that if we lost to the bucs in the first round we'd be a bigger underdog than we are right now. seriously, do you honeslty think the steelers are on the giants level? be honest

you're gonna sit there with a straight face and tell me that the steelers are better than the giants, dog? come on, you watch the games... yeah the jacksonville win was impressive and that's about it, wouldn't necessarily say that that makes their road to 5-1 harder than the giants' though. they are ranked slightly better than the giants on D and the giants blow them out of the water on offense. and for two 5-1 teams (one of which is in a WAY easier division) i do think that looking at las tyear's performance of two teams whose rosters aren't all that different from last year would come into play. the giants aren't necessarily your average road team either. i wonder how many times they were dogs last year just because they were on the road...

yeah you're extremely objective, bad egg. anyone with half a brain is taking the points here. hope your gambling prowess isn't on par wtih your football knowledge. the steelers aren't in the giants league. the steelers 'getting it done' is not in the same league as what the giants have accomplished in the last 10 months and im not whining. i thought it was funny and an easy bet.

and they didnt win the superbowl or win a millio games in a row on the road last year. steeler's aren't an elite team

um, we beat them w/ romo last year in the playoffs. doesn't matter who's at qb for a middle of the regular season game, we already showed them who's boss
