  1. Can't. OBJ might get flagged for excessive celebration on a fg.
  2. I didn't mind them before but they're becoming unbearable. It's not just them though. Pretty much all media outlets are focusing on Beckham when the Giants' issues are much greater and more glaring than his antics. It's been 6 games and our offense has only 11 TDs... to their 12 turnovers (not counting the ST TD or Turnover). We have 24 more rushing yards than PENALTY YARDS (456-432... and in case anyone was wondering Beckham has 40 yards on 3 accepted penalties). Our defense has a total of 6 sacks and 2 interceptions. And as of the GB game we've lined up in the 11 personnel on 96% of our offensive snaps (as opposed to 70-75% in 2015) limiting our playbook and making our play selection painfully obvious to the opponent. Now whether that's because of stubbornness or injuries I'm not sure, but these facts are being wholly ignored because the media would rather focus on the relationship between Odell and "Annette". It's disgusting.
  3. I'd have to see it myself. I don't really trust ESPN Radio, especially Hahn and Humpty (they said that's what he was yelling) as they've turned into the daily Odell Bashers for their entire show.
  4. As far as what he said, ESPN radio is claiming he was yelling "FINE ME!!!" on the sidelines. If that's the case it's dumb as hell, but I don't think it's penalty worthy. Penalty aside I've been halfheartedly defending him but if he doesn't reign himself in he's going to turn into a headache the likes of a TO.
  5. FWIW... Jenkins could've left Mike Wallace wide open on a go route AGAIN and that could've cost is the game. So could another phantom DPI, or Josh Brown shanking his kickoff out of bounds. I agree that Beckham needs to reign his emotions in but we as a team cannot allow a dead ball foul, between possessions to cost us a game. We need to decide it on the field.
  6. They probably do get fined. I could see it like the fines are kept under wraps though as to preserve the ref's credibility... if that makes any sense.
  7. Neither do I and fwiw... Beckham wasn't "on the field" when he took his helmet off. He was on the endline when he unsnapped the chinstrap and on the green behind the endzone when he got the helmet off. So unless the helmet rule says that players can only have their helmets off on the sidelines this flag was Odell Profiling and nothing more.
  8. On the picks... 1st one was a bad pass. It floated horribly. 2nd one was the most obvious DPI I've ever seen go uncalled.
  9. Papa and Banks alluded to this during the GB game. The Giants have lined up in the EXACT same personnel package on 96% of their offensive snaps this year. Now whether that's stubbornness on McAdoo's part, the result of injuries, or whatever else it could be... if the defense knows what's coming I don't care who they're lining up against, it won't look good at all. Now Eli hasn't looked good for 2.5 games, but prior to that he looked really good and is still coming off his best statistical season, so let's put the shotguns away for now. Not time to put the old dog down just yet. Finally... our OL is a problem. It was a problem. And it will be a problem for the rest of the season. I called this shit weeks ago. Bottom line is everyone needs to step their game up. Right now I believe we still have more turnovers than TDs and that is pathetic. So Idk what needs to be done to fix the issues in yhe immediate future, but I really hope it happens soon.
  10. Here's what gets me... Why is OBJ the media's focus when we have more turnovers than touchdowns on the season so far?
  11. You should've. In fact there's no excuse for why you didn't. lol.
  12. He isn't all there right now and it's driving him crazy. I honestly think once he gets that first TD all this shit is gonna blow over.
  13. That's a classic sign of "stats don't tell the whole story". There needs to be change on both sides of this. Beckham needs to shut up and play, and at the same time McAdoo needs to get his offense going THROUGH Beckham... who is really the sole reason he has a HC job right now cause we've seen this offense without Beckham.
  14. This except I'm going to add that he'll be remembered for being probably the most disrespected QB of this era as well.
  15. Prior to the injuries to the Vikings (meaning Peterson and their LT) week 4 was going to be a rough game and I'm always expecting GB to be rough. Baltimore... Eli has been HORRIBLE against through his career. His one win in 08 was due to us running for nearly 300 yards against them, but if we manage to get through this stretch at 5-2 I'll be ecstatic. And yes... that Philly game is a MUST WIN.

    Defense

We absolutely cannot afford to lose this game. Not with our next 3 opponents.
  17. Seubert I forgot about, but he was a huge addition. And you'd have to give the edge to O'Hara there just because he was the anchor of the whole line. Pugh, for as much as he starts, is always hurt. Hell... last year he had what was called a slight concussion (going by what I read from our beat writers on twitter) and was out for weeks. Now (I know it's preseason precautions but...) he's dealing with a shoulder issue. And I don't remember Richburg struggling at Center. He struggled when he was playing out of position next to Walton... who was so lackluster Reese eliminated him immediately the following offseason. Now... am I ready to give up on Flowers or Pugh for that matter? Not a chance. But do I think they need to improve in order to gain said trust? Absolutely.
  18. I'm not surprised by Reese's words cause it's company line bullshit. I don't expect him to come out and say "No... I'm not confident because our line sucks ass." but I expect him to acknowledge that he isn't finished. I mentioned MacKenzie because I assumed that's who you were referring to in regards to the addition. Were you talking about someone else? Put it like this... I see 3/5 of a work in progress line. I trust 1 of the 3 right now, because the other 2 are: A... still learning and struggling mightily (Flowers) and B... oft injured and Imho still out of position (Pugh). And I sincerely hope they prove me wrong. I hope I have to come in here and say Reese was right and I was wrong to doubt him in regards to the OL. I just don't see it right now.
  19. Lol Because this "we had him last year" idea is like saying he doesn't. Fwiw I hate talking down about the guy, but real is real. He doesn't belong on the field.
  20. Please go watch how bad Newhouse actually was. This guy was on his back behind Eli on damn near every play. And I'm not throwing anything away. Just stating exactly how bad the OL situation is and how it'll hamper us throughout the season since we basically neutered our chances of improving the line during free agency.
  21. And we still have Newhouse for at least 2 weeks until Beatty is in Football Shape.
  22. That's just it... the line WASN'T fine last year. Eli is just that good at manipulating the pocket. And how many of those near-misses would've been sacks and/or worse if not for Eli's pocket presence and the offense being more geared towards quick passing? A better idea... imagine Gilbride's offense with this OL. If they indeed get it together and become a passable unit then great... hopefully it happens before someone rips Eli's head off.
