  1. Play well and leave healthy is my only wish.
  2. Not good at all... https://twitter.com/JordanRaanan/status/892769133057658880
  3. If you listen to Jordan Ranaan (sp) we're using him in camp strictly as a TE right now (probably to get him used to lining up next to the tackle and blocking) but he fully expects Ellison to be on the field on most 1st and 2nd downs at the start of the season.
  4. Apparently hit a 50 harder today.
  5. What I saw yesterday (granted I could only see one side of the field) was a lot of Jackrabbit in the slot and Apple on the outside. Just read an update that said Apple followed Beckham around all day today and pretty much shut him down.
  6. Just a few highlights. Eli is Eli. One play he floats one to Shepard that get picked by Jackrabbit. Then immediately hits Beckham for 2 TDs. Beckham is abusing Eli Apple. Like... I'm not sure if I should be excited or concerned. Geno Smith is erratic. Josh Johnson is indecisive as all hell. Davis Webb is probably the #2 in my mind. Brandon Marshall made an amazing catch at the start if 7 on 7s. Haven't really seen him since. He's still out here just not targeted. Lacosse looks good. As do Perkins, Gallmann and Vereen. Engram hasn't been unleashed yet. No real opinion on him yet. JPP looks really good and Flowers trimmed down some but it's hard to evaluate then without pads. Fluker is enormous. Sidenote... this is my first time seeing Beckham live. Never seen anyone with this much energy.
  7. Simple... he's not human. That's the only logical explanation. The entire time that NFCCG was going on I was thinking that he was losing years from his life.
  8. What aggravated me about this whole debate is the talk about the defense and those 2 plays. Everyone points out Tyree's catch and forgets Eli avoided 3 sacks just to get that pass off. And the Manningham play was literally the most perfect, frozen rope pass I've ever seen from Eli. Regarding the defense, we get the Eli haters swearing it was all defense, but forget 2011's d was ranked in the 20s (27th iirc) and that same defense allowed Brady to set a consecutive completions record in the Super Bowl.
  9. I would like to think our luck with injuries is a little better than the Mets' luck but you're probably right.
  10. Haven't seen it anywhere but apparently Thompson was held out.
  11. I initially brought up the conversation just to point out the contradiction. I don't smoke anything but it's weird that the product with direct ties to a number of cancers, as well as heart disease, emphysema, COPD and God knows what else is the product that's actually legal. Hell... I used to sell life insurance. Smokers have their own rate scale.
  12. Understandable, but I'm really questioning it in this sense. What exactly are the health risks associated to weed? And when comparing them to legitimate cancer-causing legal products like cigarettes why does there seem to be such a serious contradiction in legal vs illegal?
  13. I don't understand this from 2 perspectives. 1st: Your position on this team is in no way secure. Our WR Corps are incredibly deep and you have an opportunity to be a part of something special. Keep your nose clean. 2nd: Why the hell is this still illegal? Aside from the obvious reasons of being able to control the production as it's so easy to grow.
  14. Yet anyone who thinks for even a second that his protest has nothing to do with why he's not getting a chance is blind or naive. That being said... if he really did opt out, his predicament is solely on him and I have no sympathy for him.
  15. Idk if he was joking or not but go watch 07's America's Game. Strahan actually says "I didn't know if I still wanted to play. And if I did want to play, I didn't want to go to training camp." Anyway... I've been hearing the last 2 weeks all these fair weather Giants fans calling for Beckham to be traded and everything else short of lynched. I couldn't care less that he missed OTAs. This is all voluntary and tbh I'd rather Marshall and Engram get more uninhibited time with Eli than to have Beckham there reducing the number of passes they'll see. And if Beckham really is working out with Cris Carter then more power to him. People are out here jumping off bridges like Eli hasn't been throwing live, in-game, passes to Beckham for the last 3 years. I'll state it again... my 1 and only issue is that he's anywhere in the vicinity of Manziel. The absolute last thing Beckham needs is to get caught up in Manziel's black hole of craziness.
  16. Lol idk about the rest of his career but you don't remember the fiasco prior to the 07 season where Strahan was fined over $100k for refusing to go to training camp?
  17. Honestly... don't care. If he's producing for his brand while he's wearing a Giants uniform then we'll use him while he uses us.
  18. They give people a reason to bitch about players not showing up.
  19. Maybe it's just me but I worry more about him supposedly hanging out with Manziel than him not being at OTAs.
  20. True, but for some reason (probably the blue colored shades I'm wearing) I can't see Mara being the one that initiated it. Part of me wants to believe he was forced at gunpoint to agree. (Not literally...)
  21. Lol... only problem is the NFL can really screw us over for that. Speaking of which... I hate the practice rules in this cba.
