Apparently the issue was that Geathers was supposed to be the center, since he's the gunner, but was injured in the second quarter. Whalen had never practiced this play and it's not in the playbook. Pagano ran the play with a center that basically had no proper knowledge of what to do. This whole play is predicated on the D substituting and getting caught off guard. That didn't happen and, as Herc pointed out, Pagano was basically pants by Belichick. Stupid all around by the Colts on that one.

Murray should send some of his game check to the Giants OLine. The D was dead by the time Murray started gaining yards.

Clearly it wasn't supposed to be a real play. Probably looking for a confused defender jumping and then a delay of game and punt. The whole line didn't flinch. Seems everybody knew the play except the center.

That's actually a good idea. Soccer and I think NHL has done that. When there is a pile there will be less doubt. The big issue is all the rules and it's slowly ruining the game. Is there any other league that has so many penalties it ruins the flow of the game? The NFL needs to start cutting back the rule book.

Notice how many altercations involve Beckham? I think there is fire with this smoke. With the way he acts against defenders and his knack for wanting to jump for balls I have a bad feeling about his playing longevity. He's going to go up for one of those and a defender he pissed off is going to light him up.

This has been a failure at coaching and drafting. Name a good TE the Giants have had in the last 5 years. This year is just the same old, same old.

That's the real question isn't it. The back judge ruled it unintentional so maybe he didn't have a good view or maybe he hates the Lions.

The problem is that he's a liability. Every 5 plays he makes a penalty.

I posted this before his contract that Cruz is soft. I hate to say it but I doubt Cruz is the saviour the Giants are looking for. When was the last time he broke a big run?

And Randle is on fire. Seriously the Giants should have declined the trade knowing how Randle's performance has been. If Jones was still on the Giants this would have been a Parker cut and Randle demoted thread.

Which is the most shocking part of the Giants right now. The D is playing much better than everybody expected while the O is shitting the bed in key situations. Also for the Jones issue, with the dynamic duo of Randle and Parker higher on the depth chart the Giants should have told Jones to sit tight because he will get his chance. Seriously fuck Parker. That guy has contributed heavily to both loses. Where the fuck is Harris playing a greater role this game?
