I doubt Gruden is going anywhere because the Bucs are playing well this year (so far anyway). The only way Gruden is let go is if Garcia goes down because they will do well and make the playoffs.

Probably because he is senile and rambles on and on (Caliendo does a good Madden). About Tiki, he's probably angry that people keep asking him about the Giants all the time. I am sure he would like to give opinions on other teams too. Most of it is his fault for starting it but every time there was commercial for this game they always mentioned that Tiki would be giving an opinion.

There is only one kind of optimism when it comes to the Giants. Even though the D was dominant it would have only been 10-3 without that Mitchell TD.

I'll always remember that guy for calling Collins a racist alcoholic and then wanting to be traded.

And somehow he still keeps getting head coaching jobs. I think Garrett is the for real and will be HC a team within 5 years (almost was HC for the Cowboys). When I read the Cowboys hired him as OC I was like "Shit why didn't we hire him".

Everybody so far is shutting down LDT. This is just proving that Turner is the worst coach in the NFL and they should have stuck with Schott for another year or two.

This is his major problem. It wouldn't so bad if he had coverage skill problems only but if you can't tackle then your basically useless. If his tackling doesn't drastically improve then he needs to go.

BJac needs to be worried. Ward is playing very well and Droughns punched in the short yardage very well. If he comes back and struggles it's curtains.

The Giants D always comes to play, they just don't play very well. :brooding:

I am usually the eternal optimist but I don't think we will win many games this year. I hope I am proved wrong but with the injuries and Laissez Faire play of this team it's not looking good.

In the Picke'Em League I picked the Skins because Cooley is going to kill the Giants. I see the Giants only chance is for Ward to continue to play well and have long drives that keep the D off the field.

Yes but we drafted up the year before to get Moss. Sure he hasn't panned out yet but our O didn't need fixing. The Giants could have beaten the Eagles if the D could have made a stop. Everybody likes to come down on Eli but the fact of the matter is that the D has caused many more losses than the O. What the hell happened to the D that used to get into fights with the O because the O was so bad?

I still don't understand why we didn't draft this guy (or any LB). Wasn't he still on the board when Ross was picked?

Another CB and an unnecessary WR is not good drafting. The Giants have needed to draft LBs for years now and inexplicably just won't do it. Ask the Bears what good LBs can do for any D.

To be honest I don't know why people always bring down the secondary. The Giants could have Bailey and Clements and I wouldn't matter. The secondary can't cover for ever and with our lack lustre QB pressure an all star secondary isn't going to matter. EA had it right (you can never have too many pass rushers) but never seemed to draft too smartly and apparently Reese doesn't know what he is doing (Ross in the first round was ridiculous). Another CB to feed to the dogs because he has to play chase for 20 seconds. The Giants should have drafted a LB in first and second round. It has been by far the weakest part of the D for years.

The difference is always wins. Most these power rankings go on wins and hype. If the guy thinks the team is good then they always jump a few spots just for that. The Giants usually get disrespected so even if the stats were the same as Dallas (Giants 2-0 also) you know we would be a few spots below.

I concur, 1 good year and the Saints will be back to being the Saints. Looks like the Lions may be the Saints of last year. Even a broken clock is right once a day.

Every team is looking for this and unfortunately the Giants have not been great the past few years. Everybody on this MB has been complaining about our LBs and we still haven't drafted a LB in the first round and even worse the Giants could have gotten some good ones. Instead the Giants draft a CB that could have probably been drafted in the second round and another WR.

Cooley is no scrub at TE so the Giants are basically screwed next week.

I think Shockey's penalty was bullshit too because he barely spiked the ball. Apparently the offsetting penalty call was correct though. I have to admit that this team has no discipline and doesn't seem to really give a shit if the season ends up 1-15 (especially Shockey and his whatever attitude). Coughlin is a lame duck. And that bullshit about Spags not having the personell doesn't say much about him as a D coordinator. Any good leader has to make due with what personell he has and adjust. The Patriots hardly had all pro bowl teams but they found a way to win (like using a WR on defense).
