Hes underpaid. Trout on the open market is worth about 3/4 of a billion. 55 mill a year easily. He is that much better than the second best player in the world.

They're getting draft picks and cap room. Which is all you can do in football when you rebuild. Snacks cost a lot of money and he is about to be 30. A fifth is what you get for him. Jj watt wouldn't command much more in a trade. Apple is young, inexpensive and has upside. Hence a 2 picks, one in the top 100 They can use the money and picks for players and trades to fill much more important areas. They actually have a lot of nice young players on defense that have talent and shown potential...at every level..line, Linebacker and secondary.

not sure I've only seen the last two innings of both games due to work. But as I said earlier, the al team is going to annihilate the Nl team. Boston is really good. Would have loved a 7 game series with them this post season. Yankees are the only team that can play with them. Probably still lose...but an ferocious 7 game series it would have been

They should be listening to all deals. Everyone is expendable....for reasonable deals and guys who are untradable. Only smart deals should be made...but they should not be done with apple

Oline is a disaster...not sure how to fix it...they're the most sought after players in the league. Hard to find good ones in their prime. You have to draft them for the most part. The defense isn't bad...they're young and make plays. But they're young inexperienced and gassed. There are some all pro caliber players on defense.

A good trade makes both teams better and it should hurt too Football is unique, there's no minor league or developmental leagues. You can't train in the off season like other sports. Draft picks are wanted currency. You don't have much room to make a mistake trade. If you trade a young player ...rookie contract status and two draft picks...say a second and third for a young qb that's in the league and shows he is a franchise type qb...ypu make the trade. Now you also lost a good player and two prospects that will have to be filled with free agents. The giants aren't in a position to trade for the next franchise qb. There's too much to be done. And they need to shed dough. Theu need to hit on all their first 5 draft picks next year....and make some savvy free agent signings along with cutting some useful players at a prime age I wouldn't want gettlemans job

They have some nice young defensive players...but they're young...man is Vernon missed. I think if the giants had Vernon all year, they'd be at least 3-2. But the future is bright for the defense...though it gets overshadowed by the young skill playmakers in offense.

They should let it heal completely...a sprained mcl can lead to a torn mcl, acl, meniscus, patella and dislocation. He should be out for at least 6 weeks if you want him back fully healthy and not vulnerable. Ellison is good enough to hold down the fort...especially with all the other offensive weapons healthy
