  1. Man i hope the rays can pull off an upset. Even if they dont...its great that thry pushed it to a game 4....meaning zoolander has to pitch again
  2. Rays up by 3 in thr 4th...hope they can hold the lead and extend the series
  3. Fucking cheating astros are scary. I think the yankees can beat any team in baseball this year....except the astros. Theyre the only team thats better than they are. Hopefully the rays and win a game or two to get zoolander or cole to pitch more before the alcs....assuming they both win their division series. Hopefully the yankees can finish the sweeep tonight and the rays push it to at least 4 games
  4. Oh, don't get me wrong...i love what ive been seeing the last two games and im rooting hard for them to win every game. But its a tough league...and this team has rookies and young less experienced full time players that are growing into whatever they may become. Im realistic about this team. But i love what theyre doing lately. I dont think 8-8 or 9-7 gets the giants a playoff berth this year..but id be ecstatic if they do make the playoffs. Think of the likely locks...bears...rams...cowboys...Saints..packers..Seattle Thats 4 division winners and 2 wildcards. Id love for the Giants to get in but theres a lot of stiff competition for a team with so much youth and inexperience.
  5. well theyre young and in a division that has one good team. One team that should be a contender and a shitty team and a young team with all new players and staff. There's too many good teams in the north and west to compete with for a playoff spot Also the south isn't horrible with new Orleans, Tampa, and Carolina..also Atlanta is still dangerous
  6. absolutely. A sprain is no joke. If he comes back to soon he risks big problems going forward. Infection, more damage and possibly more damage to other areas like the foot and knee. Also could cause problems with the healthy ankle. No need to rush. Its a rebuilding year and he is still very young and has a long career ahead of him
  7. yeah a grade one will swell and bruise but it wont hurt like a grade two or three. You can manage on a grade one and have very little to almost no restrictions after a few days. Trust me..a bad grade 2 or a full tear grade 3 sprian will have you on crutches for at least two weeks and then a cam boot. You wont be able to run competitively for at least 6 weeks. Assuming there arent any setbacks like a hematoma or cellulitis...or surgery
  8. He learned his lesson last year. He was impeccable in deploying his bullpen
  9. There is no way..no matter how young or athletic you might be, that youre running around 2 weeks after a severe ankle sprain. Only a grade 1 would that be possible. A sprain is a stretch(grade 1), partial tear(grade 2) or full tear( grade 3) of the ligaments. You cant walk for 2 weeks after a grade 2. You guys probably only had grade 1 sprains...which are painful but arent too debilitating after a few days of rice therapy. You can wven walk on them right afterwards. 7 days after initial sprain https://photos.app.goo.gl/drkMin3TTP1Xp3mj7
  10. Wow...you might be right. I really hope he isn't trying to come back before he is fully healed.
  11. Depending on what grade the sprain is, it could take a year to fully recover...youre better off breaking your ankle than having a bad sprian like a bad grade 2 or a grade 3. I had a grade three sprain and needed two surgeries and a lengthy rehab to get it to normal....and im not anything close to a pro athlete. And even after all that...its still bothersome and i dont have full rab3of motion. Sprains are no joke
  12. The main reason people like me cannot be catchers(lefties)
  13. They might be better off facing the twins in the alds...oakland has played the astros very well this year. That way an upset will give yankees home field advantage. And they're have the better record if they make it to the world series
  14. didnt theu drop 40 on the packers in the playoffs in a game where the fix was in? Should have been 60- 6 giants. Refs really tried to give the game to the packers
  15. I hope they put eli in for the first drive of the last home game this year to get the love he deserves
  16. me too. No way i can imagine him going out like alex Rodriguez did with the yankees in 2016. Forcing him to retire before the season ended on a team that was rebuilding
  17. Just a thought. I know its highly unlikely. Its sad to see eli go out like this..but its the right move...just should have been handled better....like 3 years ago
  18. Maybe they can trade eli to a contender like new Orleans and although he will most likely be benched once brees is back, he is definitely better than teddy and will have a chance at playing on a winner...even if its temporary...ir maybe brees doesbt come back and the saints ride eli through the season and playoffs. Just a thought..as i agree bic, he deserves much better. Its the least they could do for him now
  19. Very sad for eli...but it had to be done. I have no fucking idea why it wasnt done prior to week one but i digress. Its going to be a long season. But at least the management realized you cant rebuild in football while trying to compete like in other sports. You have to go with the youngsters growing pains and lots of losing...whiich the giants have been doing plenty of already. Might as well play all the kids. Writing is now written in stone...giants are finally throwi3in the towel and going full rebuild..the way it should have been 3 years ago.
  20. Weren't they ranked highly in their defensive prowess last season? Theyre not an awful team by any means. Not the Patriots, but not the browns the near yesteryear
  21. Its definitely not out of reach. They just need to take care of themselves and hope for some help from other teams. But they need to just keep winning. The dbacks wins are big.
  22. Yeah hes probably done this year. Guys always hurt. They gambled on him giving him that long extension..but even of he averages 120 games a year and produces like he is able to, it wont be too bad. Tauchman is hurt now too. Good thing Gardner is having a bounce back year to take the sting of losing hicks out. But hicks is a better player than Gardner...when healthy. Guess frazier and maybin will play a lot down the stretch and possibly make the post season roster. If Giancarlo doesn't come back, its a definite. Urshela is back. Theres a good espn article on him today...you should check it out if you get a few minutes. Tells about his adjustments to become a better hitter and reach his potential. Good read
  23. just a part of being a real fan...have to sit through the bad times/rebuilds. But there is light at the end of tye tunnel not far off
