  1. If I can get a beer out of it I'll be happy.
  2. In retrospect; the way we played defense against the Colts earlier in the season might have worked against the Packers later in the season. Green Bay simply doesn't have a running game, its a committee of average college rbs. Then again, I'd rather have Joseph Addai & Donald Brown run all over us than a group of nobody's from GB.
  3. We don't draft linebackers in the first round anymore, end of thread. It is a waste of a draft pick.
  4. If I could I would make that my Signature. Every single person on this board who thinks he should have been fired should line up to kiss Coughlin's Ass.
  5. The team improved from 2009 to 2010. The season could have ended better by getting into the playoffs. Nothing to get outraged at.
  6. Justin Tuck is simply too good to be true and yet every sunday he shows up and is a force that must be dealt with because he is never contained. The kind of player people on this board would have said why didn't we draft him and then change the 2005 draft to prove we could have drafted him instead of the lame duck player we usually draft and then release three years later. Justin Tuck is the reason why we look forward to the draft, in hope of finding another.
  7. I can easily look back at games this season and say about a third of the interceptions are simply balls that were tipped or popped up that turned into interceptions. There were even a couple of passes that Eli simply threw because there was a remote chance of them being completed. I know he has has thrown too many balls that were simple horrible and should never have been attempted. Eli is a bit of a gunslinger like that and i doubt it will change. The turnovers this year were ridiculous and can guarantee it will change.
  8. The NY Giants do not draft linebackers in the first round. We'll probably go DE and turn him into a LB. Watch him run around the field trying to cover on passing downs and watching opponents running far down field with the ball for a touchdown.
  9. You're getting pissed off at a QB that will give his receivers the benefit of the doubt. Last I checked that was a good quality. Only problem is his receivers are in the range of second and third year of NFL experience. It looks really bad now but these guys are only going to get better. Think of it as as the maturing of WR's in the likes of Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. That is the kind of talent we have at WR as they develop. Dont forget that they are developing. Nobody is regretting giving Eli Manning a fat contract because they did it twice without blinking. This season was a cakewalk compared to his rookie season, keep that in mind. Talking about paychecks is about as close we can get to a comparison to players in the NFL. They get paid to do what the average man can't. Nobody is regretting paying Eli because every QB before him was a slide down a hill full of shit.
  10. I think we're beyond the point of picking our starting QB. I realize however that if you play a lot of video games you have the belief you can still draft Johnny Unitas or Joe Montana to QB your team. So being that this isn't a video game and we can't go back and pass on a Eli Manning in 2004 and pick up Aaron Rodgers in 2005 or anyone else for that matter lets stick with some fucking reality for a change. I'd rather have my QB throwing more touchdowns than interceptions. Its a very small thing but it is a possibility.
  11. Best number compared to who? He has had some tremendous plays this season. Rolle has been huge in stopping the run this season.
  12. There are a hundred things that could be done to improve this team. Tynes is by far not the worst we've had on kickoffs. Some rather hard facts to really understand is that not every kick can be a touchback. Now once you really understand that you lose the expectation that every kickoff should or could be a touchback. First season in the NFL for Matt Dodge, aside from all the fuckups; the kid has talent and continues to improve. Don't count him out just yet. If you had patience to develop a QB, should have patience to develop a punter.
  13. Noticing and finding someone to do the job are two different things. They've tried the draft and free agency and struck out repeatedly.
  14. What more did you want him to do? Score some touchdowns? He could very well be considered our best run stuffer and that is on a defense that is ranked in the top 10.
  15. I think teams simply figured out how to beat what we have been putting out on the field this season. Its not the first time this has happened. Now when they find a linebacker they want to keep out there for three downs and not be a liability, well then this might stop happening. Teams are beating us deep because we're bringing in our safeties to stop the run who happen to be better than our linebackers at the job.
  16. Last I checked we have still won more games than we have lost. So Tom can win with this team. All we can do is hope that we make it into the playoffs. If we don't make it, far from the worst case scenario for this team. Don't forget that we saw a lot of miscommunication between Eli Manning and his receivers this season. Most of our offense I would describe as second season starters, first season for Bradshaw. If you're concerned about the Bradshaw fumbles and think Coughlin can't fix it, well you are wrong. He didn't come in and bring Tiki Barber down from 9 fumbles in one season to zero but he cut them in half and then in half again. This was Ahmad Bradshaw's first season as a starter, I'll go out on a limb and say he will not fumble this much next season if he can start next season. Coughlin will fix it, just don't expect overnight solutions to long term problems.
  17. The problem Sean Payton had in NY was there were so many players especially on the offensive line that were barely average. Sean Payton would terrorize the league with the squad we have now and they're only getting better.
  18. Hmm Coughlin fired after this season, I want a break from football after they decide when they plan on playing football again. Replacing Tom Coughlin is just a bad idea. If your memory of NY Giants Football starts with the 2004 season, then firing the head coach is a reasonable solution. If you've been watching even longer and still think its a reasonable solution, you have already forgotten the thrill of a coach coming in and installing his system (not pretty). Quite simply, there just isn't a better candidate on the market that can win with this team.
  19. Pro bowls are popularity contests, have very little to do with actual time played during a season. Check last season, O'Hara was there for reasons. He gets voted in this year because he was there last year and nobody else put up a standout season and got recognized for it. BTW guys, continue to rip him for finally coming back from an injury that has kept him out all season and sucking the games he's played.
  20. I seriously doubt that. Replace the most successful coach since Parcells and with who? The Cowher talk is bullshit. Jack supports it and that should be enough proof for anyone.
  21. Worked pretty good for you the week before though
  22. Coughlin is equal opportunity, he gets in everyone's face. Just so happens this was a moment the camera crews decided to capture. Stop bringing up the bench Dodge and replace him with someone else because they looked around before the beginning of the season, the choices didn't get better as the season continued. The ideal of course would have been to find Feagles replacement before he retired and instead everyone crossed their fingers he'd come back every year like he has for the last four years.
  23. The answer is we still would have lost that game. Momentum shifted in the second half, looked like the Giants thought the game was over in the first half and never came back out of the locker room for the second half.
  24. Must admit I rather enjoyed Coughlin coming over to yell at him. Nobody looks at Coughlin when he's yelling at them I noticed. Reminds me back when Darnell Dinkins made a catch on third and failed to get the first down and then yelled at Fassel for not going for it on 4th and 2. Would have loved to see him try that one with Coughlin. Coughlin would have decked him right then and there. I don't put the blame on Dodge for the game though. He did not let the Eagles score the four touchdowns to get back into the game. Dodge made a mistake just like everyone else did in the second half.
  25. Good news guys, Duane Reade is handing out free tampons for ya this morning. The Giants are 9-5 and still can make it into the playoffs. Would have loved to have won this game and made the road easier, but when in twenty years have we watched them cruise into the playoffs? At least a dozen teams and a few thousand fans wish they were in our position right now.
