  1. Kareem Mckenzie had a better season in 2010, it was hard to watch him in 2009. Will Beatty, far from ready to takeover for David Diehl. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at RT in the future. David Bass, Adam Koets and Mitch Petrus are all in the running for Center. Koets took over for O'Hara early on but was later replaced by Seubert. Looking forward to seeing Petrus in his second season. Probable offensive line going into the season: Diehl, Boothe, Bass, Snee, McKenzie
  2. Hasn't shown shit since he was drafted.
  3. Oddly the best thing we've done so far since the start of free agency.
  4. Derek Hagan, Michael Clayton, Devin Thomas, and Darius Reynaud will not be on the roster in September. Not that big of a log jam at all. I'd be surprised if Hixon makes it.
  5. It was a good run and unfortunately a smart move for the team.
  6. I still don't think Chris Canty was a bad pickup. Would like to see more from him as well. When the Giants picked up Chris Canty, the writing was already on the wall that Cofield was not going to be re-signed. Rocky Bernard, was a bad pickup.
  7. Reggie Bush and Ronnie Brown are the very last two players we need on the team. Reggie would be better at wide receiver and Ronnie can't stay healthy.
  8. Can't see how Cofield is going to be a Giant this season. Plenty of money already invested at DT and we've drafted two in the last two years. Its a shame that the Giants went and invested big money in Chris Canty and then brought in Rocky Bernard while Barry Cofield has IMO played better and proven more durable the past two years. Barry is going to get paid elsewhere, hopefully in another division.
  9. LOL oh I'll argue Jacobs is a helluva lot better with the ball by comparison. I was having Barber flashbacks all last season watching Bradshaw with the ball. Peyton Hillis is the only RB that fumbled more than Bradshaw and that is probably because Coughlin pulled the plug on Bradshaw. God help us if Bradshaw comes back and this does not get fixed.
  10. When you're remembering him you are thinking of his time as a starter. He was a fumbler even as a backup and back in college. The more carries he got, the more he fumbled and the more people noticed.
  11. Yeah that is what everyone thought his first year, second, third, etc.
  12. Yeah people actually don't read anything besides the post headline... Hell if we can sign Vonta Leach this time around, it'll make our offensive line look 10 years younger and Brandon Jacobs a 2000 yard rb. No help for Bradshaw's fumbling though.
  13. I agree entirely yet somehow we are not on the scout staff.
  14. Considering who we have as backup linebackers, its an upgrade if he sees the field 6 games out of the season.
  15. Posluszny could eye Giants if Buffalo doesn’t work out Linebacker Paul Posluszny(notes) is expected to become a free agent once the lockout ends and while he has stated his preference to re-sign with the Buffalo Bills, he will keep his options open. One option could be the New York Giants, where defensive coordinator Perry Fewell would be a familiar face. Fewell was the Bills' defensive coordinator and then interim head coach when Posluszny broke into the league. "I love Coach Fewell and the type of defense that he ran when we were in Buffalo, we had a good relationship together," Posluszny told SiriusXM NFL Radio, per The New York Post. "Actually I have an uncle that lives in the New York area and he just sent me a text the other day saying he's read on the internet that the Giants are a possible spot for me. I mean, so yes, there's a lot of interesting possibilities out there and the one thing about free agency, all players, I think, you want to know your true value. You want to know how other teams value you and what they think of you, so that's the interesting part of it. But, I mean, the Giants, along with several other teams, there are some interesting opportunities out there, that's for sure." Posluszny was tendered a contract as a restricted free agent before the lockout began, but he could become an unrestricted free agent depending on the details of a new collective bargaining agreement. He had a career-high 157 tackles last season, including nine games of 10-plus tackles and 25 combined in the final two games. However, that didn't stop the Bills from finishing last in the NFL in run defense, allowing 169.6 yards per game on a whopping 4.8 yards per carry. link
  16. I call bullshit. These aren't experts, just people with opinions. Get in line. Wonder is looking at Prince Amukamara as a top 10 pick and he went at 19. He is not Darrell Revis but he might be just like any other CB drafted this year. Pete, never watched a game Prince Amukamara played in; simply doing his review based on statistics. Bill Parcell's confidential draft? Hell didn't even bother with doing the statistics, nevermind watching the games. Their opinion holds as much weight as mine. IMO, I have no idea until I see him on the field. Jerry Reese also had an opinion on Prince Amukamara, the deciding one and believes the Giants drafted an excellent corner to add to our secondary.
  17. That would be why they are NFL players and not lawyers and businessmen. Take a good look at those two seasons as others have in this thread and they can definitely see Umenyiora not living up to it. Umenyiora didn't get hurt on purpose and sure as hell didn't change defensive coordinators. IMO, Umenyiora feels that the Giants broke their promise to him and at the same to he made a horrible business decision. Wasn't the first time for an NFL player and probably won't be the last.
  18. Hope he goes to Philly so I can enjoy the stupidity of the NFL pundits and some of you the rest of the season just a little bit more.
  19. Prince Amukamara, best player on the board no question. Not even going to explain that one. Marvin Austin: Hell yes take him, Barry Cofield is walking this year and Rocky Bernard is still here. Linval played half the season and spent the other half warming a bench. We're taking another defensive lineman because we still haven't seen enough of LInval Joseph to expect him to take over anytime soon. Jerrel Jernigan was drafted with the intent to improve our special teams. It will be awhile before you see him lining up in the slot. I saw James Brewer, read his review and got a flashback of Guy Whimper. Greg Jones, another special teams pickup.
  20. Ben Ijalana in the second round. Because we'll have to lookup how to pronounce his name too. I still want a guy for the offensive line in this draft. ok i only missed because the colts drafted Ijalana before we had a chance.
