  1. Any given sunday I hear plenty already about how this team or that team is bad. Right now I see quite a few teams that are surprising everyone around the league, winning and losing games.
  2. Defenders kinda hope the play is over before Ballard can get open. Why run with him downfield when you can catchup to him when you need to.
  3. I see a lot of games we could potentially win. This team can easily go 10-6 if not better.
  4. Its been umm interesting. I've never seen this many defensive linemen burst through our offensive line untouched. Its been a minimum of one per game. They are blowing past a different guy every week. The running game is non-existent. I see Eli holding onto the ball just a little bit longer at this point in the season than in previous years. He's putting up the numbers and he's getting hit for his troubles. Running game has to get on track.
  5. I declare today Victor Cruz day, he owned the fantasy league today.
  6. I picked up Victor Cruz this week, I want Eli to continue to make up for Peyton not playing this season. Its been looking like he's playing for them both so far this season.
  7. We just might get to see Da'Rel in limited action and a lot more of DJ Ware. I think Gilbride is going to air the ball out more than usual this sunday.
  8. I believe this came down to a deal. Sage went to the team and asked to be released so he could get picked up. Dolphins weren't going to trade for him. We might have gotten some good will out of it.
  9. link The New York Giants are waiting on their Prince. And that wait is going to continue. The hope was cornerback Prince Amukamara(notes), the team’s first-round draft pick, would be back by now, at least practicing. But coach Tom Coughlin said it will be at least three more weeks before he’s in action. Amukamara, after a brief holdout, broke his foot in practice on Aug. 6. The projection was that he would miss 8 to 10 weeks. As Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger notes, it is Week 9. “I don't know what the original time frame was," Coughlin said, per the report. "Prince is not ready to go, he's not going to be for a while, and we're not going to mess around here. I really don't ask about him every day, as you could probably tell. I don't know much about that because, to me, it's off somewhere in the distance. "I see what you see, and I see his reaction to the work, it's very slow, as you would imagine, but it's gradual. And we're making progress. There's no setback."
  10. Jack makes sense in only .1% of his posts.
  11. Brian Williams got cut as well. Didn't quite understand what took so long for that to happen.
  12. Some people think that depending on the round you are drafted, you should produce a certain amount of yards, tds, tackles, sacks... Its one thing to be pissed about when a player was drafted and another to be pissed about their production. If Ike Hilliard is one of the worst for anyone here, don't look at any first round draft picks before 1997 and ignore a few afterwards
  13. It was his first freaking game back from surgery and you expected a better performance? I saw just as well as the rest of you that they were running at our weakest link at the moment. Umenyiora is going to play better as the season progresses. We all know that if Tuck played, the game would have been a blowout win for us. I was blown away by the inability of the morons in the booth to figure out the reason the Cardinals kept running it to the right. Beanie Wells left that game looking like the 2011 rushing champion. Not too surprising since we helped Grossman look that way back in week 1.
  14. Yeah I've gotta agree with the others, Tiki's resume is thin for the HOF.
  15. I usually see these injury situations as luck. Good luck when the team survive them and bad when they can't. It happens to every team, it happened to Green Bay last year.
  16. It does not, but everyone has bad games.
  17. This board had a hard time accepting Hakeem Nicks over Kenny Britt. How is it we managed to miss out on drafting Kenny Britt who has been leading the AFC in receiving yards and is most likely out for the season with a torn ACL and MCL? Yes I know, he sounds like a Giant. All Hakeem Nicks has done is proven to everyone who hated on him for the draft is that he a receiver who you can rely on as a possession receiver and the speed of a game-breaker that has made the difference for this team since we drafted him. In Reese we trust.
  18. So we're saving the gasoline and cross for next week?
  19. Ross needed to shake the rust off. Might be a turning point or a step in the process. This is definitely a step forward for Cruz and he needs to continue to make progress. I only rip guys who deserve it and Greg Jones has improved ever game this year.
  20. Hey ummm mobile Qb's just don't get those calls like the pocket passer. Its not unfair its just the way it is.
  21. I would like to consider this week against the Eagles as an improvement for Aaron Ross. If anyone feels differently, feel free as you all usually do to point out what a draft bust Aaron Ross is and how he let you down again this week.
  22. "I went out one play," Grant said. "I got banged up, and went right back in and finished the game -- (just like I have) every game for my career. My whole thing is when (do) you know (if) somebody (is) faking an injury? ... I'm not no duck or no dummy. I'm not about to be going out there banging myself up like they do in the movies. "You look at my knees now, do you see this knee (my right one), this knee is smaller than that one (my left one)? You see the bang-up, right?" Grant said he banged his knee on the previous play while making a tackle. He began flexing his knee and knew he'd hurt it, but wanted to stay in the game. Grant said someone -- perhaps defensive end Justin Tuck -- was behind him and said, 'D, don't try to run off the field, just go down.' And I was like, 'No.' " "But as I was walking they lined up knowing I couldn't get back into my position because of the injury, so I went down," Grant said. "It just so happened Jacquian (Williams) -- he was catching a cramp at the same time -- and he went down. "I went out (and) came back in. I've been doing that my whole career. But you go and check my medical report. I (have) the injuries to speak for it. Two torn MCLs I never had surgery on. Wrist surgery. Shoulder surgery. (A) broken hip with a metal plate with screws in it, so I don't fake nothing. How can another person that's not in your body tell you when you're faking an injury?" Had Grant attempted to get off the field, it could have left the Giants a defender short when the ball was snapped. Of course, they also could have called a timeout, a course of action teams might need to use in the future.
  23. The offense looks badly out of synch. How does a QB get into a rhythm if your receivers keep dropping the fucking ball? Manningham looks like he has regressed two years. The only time the running game is working is when Gilbride gets slapped in the back of the head so he can call a run. When the Rams were busy running that no huddle offense, Giants should have been doing some power running to give the defense a chance to regroup.
  24. I thought it was pretty funny and effective. At first I thought they were making a statement about how they were playing by having two guys lay down, one for last week and the other for this week. Just make sure everyone is on the same page so we don't have more than one guy laying down on the field, it looks less credible.
  25. Ross is a bit rusty but he'll come around.
