  1. Reality is he wasn't going to be a Giant in 2012 unless he wound up on IR last season. He served his time, and now he's off to cash in on his success. Good luck to him wherever he lands.
  2. Congratulations to that horrible NFL team that had no business in the playoffs. Congratulations to that same horrible team to keep on winning games they should not have and beating teams that belong in the super bowl. These NY fucking Giants did not stop at all for four quarters. They played for each other and for the fans that never gave up hope.
  3. Perry Fewell didn't sit down and decide to revamp the defense around the time most people would say the defense got remarkably better, against the Jets. Perry Fewell has never been on the field to miss a tackle, blow a coverage, or miss half the season with injury. He sat the rookie linebackers down and got another veteran in there. Players got healthy and started doing what they were supposed to be doing.
  4. Yeah until the OFFSEASON....then all the bullshit comes up again. I'm forgiving when it comes to players and contracts but Umenyiora doesn't have a true grasp of his worth. Its not the top 5 defensive ends in the league.
  5. That was a great story. Never enough of those to go around. Chase Blackburn coming in and solidifying the LB position this season is just like Kawika Mitchell back in 2007. Nothing flashy, just consistent.
  6. I'm sure Mara is really sorry all us broke fucks can't afford to watch the team lose half their home games and have to sit at home and watch it on tv.
  7. Shit I think Eli took a couple hits worse than that one last week
  8. He projected a reliable feeling, a plain-spoken man who made his points quickly without droning on like many guys fresh off the field who repeat the same catchphrase over and over again. Shit I hear the same catchphrase over and over again from guys they consider vets and have never seen the field. Troy can claim a history of concussions and I'll even give Collinsworth that out but the others...
  9. That one just reminded me of brokeback mountain
  10. If Eli manages to win this super bowl, we will simply hear about how the defense saved his ass again just like the last one. People either believe that Eli is a great QB or they don't. Stats can be interpreted and twisted so there will always be people who will never believe Eli Manning belongs in the top 5 QB's in the NFL. I'd at least like to think that another super bowl victory would silence the Giants fans who don't believe Eli belongs in the top 5.
  11. Truth is Romo is holding back the Cowboys and it isn't because he needs more confidence. Romo has won plenty of big games, problem is he does not consistently come up big in big games. The talent argument is ridiculous.
  12. Blaming Tynes for the blocked FG and not the guys on the line? After already getting caught with their pants down once this season with the offsides kick, you have to expect that will never happen again since it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
  13. The team has talent that has been hurt by the turnstile coach and coordinators. No stars? lmao
  14. Dunno why he's taking it so personally. Tom Coughlin won't see me either and I've always had a good thing to say about him.
  15. Clay Matthews was a beast out there tonight. Chasing Bradshaw down from one side of the field to the other, running down another play from the other side of the field, etc. I think he was the fastest linebacker on the field and always in a position to make a play. Hope Jacquain Williams becomes that kinda player.
  16. Both horrible and somehow a step up from Collinsworth. I watch games with the volume just high enough to hear it and low enough to easily tune those idiots out.
  17. Well its not even a question as to who comes in but I still don't understand why Ware got as many carries as he has this season. He's not even average and they seem to call plays that put him in the position to run the ball which makes me wonder how bad Scott is at blocking.
  18. Now I don't get to watch many Raiders games so I only really know what I see as far as results. This man did not deserve to get fired. A team with this many top 5 draft picks clearly doesn't have a talent problem, it is a coaching problem. Now when you fire the guy who really started to bring the team back to NFL standards it sends the wrong message. You would think the organization would be trying to improve but they keep finding new ways to sink deeper into the abyss. Raiders should be removed from the NFL. Being a member of the NFL is a priviledge not a right.
  19. lol you guys are more predictable than Kevin Gilbride's offense.
  20. Not much to apologize for, he has been a better tackle than guard and has done his best in both situations. How many teams ask a guard to move out to tackle and back again? Diehl has also been making up for the loss of Seubert & O'Hara on the line. Anyone who makes the arguement that its the same shit shouldn't post.
  21. Been looking forward to this rematch since the first game ended and I knew we'd see them again in the playoffs.
  22. Ok healthy line with depth is nice but lets face it, the defense is playing better with a veteran linebacker who knows where everyone should be and makes sure they are there. Chase Blackburn is far from the most athletic linebacker we have but he knows the defense better than all of our linebackers with the exception of Boley. Bringing Blackburn back to be the defensive coach on the field was key to the revival of the defense. Of course we can look at him coming back and the defense getting better as completely coincidental.
  23. I'll give Tynes a pass. He is allowed to miss at least 4 kicks over the course of a season. I don't kick field goals for a living so I don't know if it is that much harder to kick a 50+ yarder over a 30 yarder. I know that he'll come through when we need it like he usually does, and a bit of nail biting.
