  1. If we just change the OL coach, and don't bring in starting capable lineman at the guard and RT position, this offseason will be a failure. Bredeson, Glowinski, Pugh, Ezeudu, Tyre Phillips, etc aren't the future here.
  2. Of course. I'm fine going into next season with JMS at C, and even Neal at RT, as long as you put two FA guards next to them, plus have a plan B at least at RT in case Neal busts out or is injured again.
  3. If we don't at least bring in two guards capable of starting, better than Pugh, Bredeson, Glowinski, and Ezeudu, plus a "plan b" RT in case Neal doesn't pan out, then it'll be a failed off-season by the GM regardless of the coaching. I recommend two FA guards, another interior OL draft pick rounds 2-4, and a RT mid round draft pick or FA.
  4. He's also playing alongside possibly the worst set of guards plus RT in the league. Everyone talks about coaching but the fact that Pugh (33) who's on his last leg is our starting guard, Bredeson who's also awful is a starting guard, has an impact. It's not just coaching.
  5. I think the Giants hired some of the training staff from the Mets.
  6. Oh boy are they getting right. Should be 21-3 right now.
  7. So the Giants Twitter and Subreddit feeds right now are basically a back and forth between people who think if you draft a QB, you can't address the OL in the offseason (for some reason, both can't be addressed), versus people who think you can definitely address both a QB and OL in the offseason. I obviously think the former are morons. I continue to post there, sarcastically talking to them as if they're morons: "There's this thing in the NFL offseason called free agency. Each year, a number of players in the NFL have their contracts expire and they're free to sign with other teams. Also, the NFL draft consists of seven rounds, not just one. Additionally, there's also this thing called trades; two or more teams can mutually come to terms to exchange players and/or draft picks."
  8. Remember last week when some insane giant fans thought we were going to make the playoffs this year? That was hilarious. The Giants always have one game per year where they just say "Ah fuck it, we're not playing hard today." And today was that day, led by the OL especially.
  9. Would be nice if the WRs could catch
  10. He's a smart player too. If you go back and look at the final pass he caught, that was all spectacular route running. It's essentially an outbreaking route, with a little bit of a bend upfield; he starts out up field, defender plays with outside leverage trying to funnel the WR inside, he makes a juke inside, then jukes outside to gain the outside position towards the sideline and makes himself wide open for Devito.
  11. If he has a strong final 4 games of the season, you gotta stick with him as the starter in 2024 until he proves he's not capable.
  12. He should be at least a decent backup QB in the league, at this point. I don't want to get ahead of myself and make any other predictions.
  13. Tommy Cutlets! How about Wandale too!
  14. Barkley is an ass for not securing that. Dumb play.
  15. Well the refs better overturn this
  16. Refs with the assist on that TD drive
  17. I'm sorry but when you're going into year 6 of your drafted QB, and we're still incredibly unsure of he's reliable or not, that's a sign you need to move on and draft another QB. Sign # 2 is he's only played one full NFL season. Doesn't necessarily need to be in the 1st round.
  18. The whole thing is a crapshoot no matter where you draft the QB, top 5, 6-32 or 2nd round. Dak Prescott and Geno Smith were slinging it all over the field on Thursday, and they're 4th and 2nd round guys respectively. Look at Jalen Hurts and Will Levis too. I'm not getting super anxious about our draft position, unlike other Giants fans I see on Reddit and Twitter freaking out over winning two games.
  19. Robinson appears to be holding up his end of the bargain. Get this man the ball.
  20. Oh, I get what you're saying now. Yeah, people were being too hard on him, myself included through the first few games.
  21. Why not. He had half a sack and two TFLs yesterday. 10.5 sacks on the year. There was a graphic up yesterday: Most sacks through their fitst 25 or 26 games of any giant in team history.
  22. Maye's last two games are abysmal. Though that doesn't mean he's a bad prospect. Also, he's constantly played behind a dreadful OL, so if we get him, he'll be in familiar territory.
