  1. Also with all the draft talk, the Giants will not take a QB at #6 unless for some freak reason they land Williams or Daniels falls. They ain't taking Maye or McCarthy at #6 However I can see them aggressively trading back up into the first if McCarthy drops or Penix is there near the end of round 1. There is way way to many NFL ready day one guys there at #6 to take one of the "tier two QBs" Williams and Daniels are ready to play day one, after that the otherr QBs (outside of Penix but that's a whole other can of worms) are all project type QBs. They need a team around them to be successful and learn. We don't have that team. But with the #6 we fill a massive need and beat play talent wise there to becoming that team. He it Nabers, or Alt, or Rome, or that CB.
  2. I'd have no problem with Joe Alt dude is a 12 year starting tackle in the NFL. The QB in round 2 would actually have a real Oline. Something we haven't seen since 2009.
  3. Well I mean he could sit out or just outright refuse to play, wasting the Giants pick and a year of his pro career. If we truly didn't like whatever made up situation these articles are trying to make it out to be. I just find it funny how suddenly Nabers is a head case a couple weeks before the draft. Probably the Giants putting shit out there hoping he falls.
  4. I know during the interviews and whatnot with prospects, the kids get to ask and learn about the team and everything as well. I'm sure "So who's throwing me the ball?" has been asked quite a number of times this offseason during these meetings since who wants to get drafted by a team who was starting Tommy DiVito at one point last year.
  5. I say we just draft a QB every round. Maybe if were lucky one or two work out.
  6. Solid player, glad he's back.
  7. Imagine trading Josh Allen for a high first round pick to get a WR because you traded away your top WR. lol Schoen has a chance to make his former mentor a meme if he can pull it off.
  8. With the 2021 draft failing I believe the pundits were saying 1980s six QBs were taken in one draft, which resulted in Elway and Jim Kelly.
  9. Yeah they cut a lot of vets from that team. Window may be shutting for the Bills to get over the Chiefs AFC dominance. Who's Allen throwing to next year? Curtis Samuel is the most experienced WR on that team and I thought he retired.
  10. Plus the Bills eat 31 million of dead cap in Diggs salary. Lol What the fuck are the Bills doing.
  11. We'll the Texans get a WR who will out produce 90% of any second round WR. And a fifth and sixth round pick.
  12. Texans really embracing building around the young QB. Just loaded up this offseason.
  13. Oh he has more value than just sacks. Simply having a healthy edge rusher across from Thibs is going to help immensely. Im just saying it's always a numbers game in the NFL with contract numbers usually being the defining factor for most fans on a players worth. He's paid like one of if not the best DE in football now, hopefully he can obtain that hype or he's going to be run out by the media sooner rather than later. It's like Barkley and the RB position, does Barkley deserve to be paid like the second best back in the NFL? When guys who are making 1/8th that contract who can stay healthy for 17 games and get somewhat similar production are out there? Safeties are now feeling the effect too. But DE/edge rusher whatever they call themselves have always been and always will be a position that makes top dollar even if the production isn't always there.
  14. We'll he's going to be compared to his peers with the same price tag. So if guys around him are putting up 15+ sacks and are disruptive against the run and taking double teams. While Burns is only putting up 8 sacks. Then maybe it won't be looked at so fondly.
  15. Oh yeah awful comparison. Sorry didn't know that was being said.
  16. Depends on where you get your metrics really. ESPN has Burns outside the top 10 in PRWR. But the difference is marginal of 1% between some players. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38356170/2023-nfl-pass-rush-run-stop-blocking-win-rate-rankings-top-players-teams
  17. I think people just expect 30 million to come with Watt level impact of play. Burns will never be a Watt or a Hutcheson. However those type of guys will be resetting the pass rushing market in the next year or so and Burn's contract will just be the normal for 10+ sack type players.
  18. Although apparently Blanco is a stand up guy so that's neat to see.
  19. Cy Young finalist Ronel Blanco throws a no hitter against the Jays. 7th highest payroll and can't hit a career 4.1 era. lol Dammit Jays I love you so much.
  20. Man if we got Nabers and Penix with picks 1 and 2 I'd be pretty happy with the draft. I'd just be praying for both his ACLs every time he drops back lol Can't tell me Nike or Under armor can't design some fancy carbon fiber knee brace that won't impact his throwing motion but still give him support from impacts to his knees.
  21. "To be fair" as a character from Letterkenny would say. Penisex tackles from Washington are going one in the top 10 and the other in the first two rounds. The guard is probably a late round pick too. All for nothing but three NFL quality players on the Oline will make any QBs life easy. He won't have that luxury here. However I do agree Penisex has the fundamentals of being a QB down pat and if he didn't have four season ending injuries in back to back years and two in highschool, he'd probably be rivalling Caleb for #1 consideration. But Christ that injury history is scary.
  22. Also if we draft Penisex with the 2nd round pick then I want him to wear those trench knee braces that the Oline wear every single game. The dude is one Bosa leg chop away from not being able to walk.
