  1. Yeah for as highly he was taken the guy is still raw NFL player, he cant hold a block to save his life and speed/strength kills him. Granted he's been injured. In a couple years time though he'll be one of the best, just need more coaching and has to get used to the speed of starting DEs in the league.
  2. Holy, surprised that got such a rile out of people. I'll take it down but this is the same site that the famous General Discussion section used to be right? Miss the good ol days.
  3. So am I, I'd probably have the Giants moved to LA by now.
  4. See I believe the Giant's should just pull the plug and fire everyone from top to bottom, tell Eli that if he wants to go to a contending team or somewhere else they will try to work out a trade. But honestly if all they do is fire TC, and bring in some retread coach or some college football HC who just wants to break into the NFL, while forcing him to work in JRs "scheme" and using coordinators he might not want, the Giant's are basically back to square one. If they are going to keep anyone from the current list of coaches/FO, keep Coughlin and fire the rest. I was optimistic that the Giants would FINALLY turn this page and get to building another championship team, instead they just want to hang onto the scraps of the previous ones, hoping for another 2007.
  5. JR is gonna get his chance to hire "his HC".
  6. I remember this offseason podcast I listened to, basically the year when Arians went to Arizona after Pagano came back when he was in interim. The "Colts guy" was just in a fucking furry about how they should of in his words "Kicked that cancer ridden no good hack to the curb and kept the guy who took them to the playoffs" Honestly although it would of been an shitty thing to go, they should of kept Arians at HC instead of Pagano, would of been a PR nightmare, but they would probably be in the playoffs.
  7. The whole "loser is the winner" is such bullshit. Owners don't sit there thinking "Hey we'll pick a few picks before *insert team*, that's a win in my book in a losing season" "You play to win the game" - A former NY coach once said, and he's right. Now if you tank your entire season to pick a guy like Luck, I can see the case being made.
  8. There are reports that the players basically had it with Kelly, that when the owner met with Murray he had nothing but hate for the guy. I mean it's not to hard to believe, they guy has done nothing but traded away the core of the team for "his players" and left them in a hole that is going to take a lot to dig out of. He didnt just tank the season he tanked the entire organization.
  9. Really if people want us to make "one last push for a championship" with Eli, it's the best thing they could do. Eli isnt going to win another SB with a different HC, or another whole regime change. Unless Little Mara want's to blow the whole thing up and start over from square one, which they might do.
  10. "Yep the season sure if bad, gosh gee willikers" *edited for 2016*
  11. I think Spags is gone if Coughlin is out the door. Spags has never been known for his defensive creativity/knowledge, he just simply isnt the greatest coach in the NFL. Rams knew it, Baltimore knew it, Saints knew it, Eagles knew it. He needed a Hall of Fame DE along with muitple pro-bowl DE's just to get his scheme to work in 2007 and was exposed in '08 when his Dline couldnt generate enough pressure to overcome his lack of secondary scheme. Simply put Spags shouldnt be a DC in the NFL, it doesnt take a genius to come up with the idea of "Hey lets put all my starting DEs on the field at the same time". It was easier to see this year with a much weaker roster, which has turned out one of the worst defenses in NFL history, I think even worst than his defense in NO. The Giant's need a DC that can adjust to gameplans, one who has an idea of what he want's to build, instead of a guy just trying to retred an old ageing era of Gints football. Granted any DC needs capable players, which once again falls on JRs and Coughlins shoulders.
  12. Of course, I dont think a single draft would of gone the way it did if teams could look five years in the future, actually I think NFL.com has draft do over articles about how drafts would of gone years later. It's why HoF players end up going undrafted. I'm just saying I have never been one of these "We need to draft as high as possible" type of thinkers, outside of the top six or seven picks in the draft, it's really anyones game and a guy taken at 28 has just as much chance to be game changer as a guy at pick 11. Now if the Giant's COULD of drafted within the top 5 sure, but outside of that I feel at that point it's hit or miss if a player will develop, hell even within the top five it's hard to predict what a player will become.
  13. It's why it's a 'rebuilding process' If/when Bitch Mara decides to move onto the next era of Giants football and he should after these last few seasons, it's not like the Giants are going to be overnight contenders. Whoever the next HC/GM combo is will want their own guys, their own coordinators, their own schemes, their own roster which might not even include guys like DRC, Manning, and certainly wont include alot of the scrub players currently making up the majority of this roster. It's time for the Giant's to turn the chapter on this amazing run of Giants football, but fans got to realize that the next step is going to take a whole lot of 'rebuilding' years before it gets better, especially with the weak roster.
  14. Really depending on how the draft goes a game changer can be within the first 20 picks of the draft. Heck OBJ was selected at 12.
  15. The more I think about it the more I think TC want's to coach for a few more years, he's never giving an indication of wanting to hang up the headset anytime soon. Be it with the Giants or some other team he'll be a HC in the NFL for a number more seasons I'm thinking.
  16. Actually the more I think about it the more I think if the Giants want him gone they "gracefully let him walk under his own accord" because I think TC goes on to coach another team.
  17. Not a fan of Cousins but he's finally the QB that the 'Skins have needed... consistent, which is all you really need to win. It's shame to think that if Shanahan didnt try to get Robert the Three killed every time he snapped the ball, or actually coached him to be an NFL QB, the 'Skins could of been a real threat a couple seasons ago.
  18. Some of my best football buds are 'Skins fans. I've always said I respected the franchise the most of the other NFC East teams, they've just been run by an idiot midget who has finally seen the value of an actual GM.
  19. It's either going one of two ways in my opinion with Lesser Mara and Company; 1) They make a HC and OC change, keeping Spags because Mara has a hard on for the guy apparently, JR gets a short leash in the draft and is fired halfway thru the season if the team is 2-6. More of a damage control year in seeing what the roster has before they look at what to do for the next era of Gints football. 2) They fire everyone from top to bottom, GM,HC,OC,DC, all get the walking papers and it's basically a fire sale on the rest of the team. They clear house and bring in the next era of Giant's football. Either way I think a HC/coordinator change along with any change to the GM means another 4-6 more seasons of the Giant's not in the playoffs.
  20. The fucking idiot thought he was a better RB by leaving a team that has five all pro Olinemen.
  21. Don't you love the "Spag's wall" on 3rd and 1, having the CBs play 15 yards off the WR and sending every LB on a blitz. "5% of the time, it works every time" -Stevie Brown Spagnuolo
  22. Well once again Beckham was seen first as the one "retaliating" the bad guy of the situation if you will, while the lowly innocent Panthers were the victims of Beckham's wild and crazy behaviour unbecoming of a football player. Usual media stuff, one side the guilty party the other the victim.
  23. They've been talking about this on NFL network all day, some of the analyst believe it should be overturned, that really they were just playing a game of football. Should be fined for sure, but not really suspension worthy. Just waiting for the "official word" now.
