  1. Honestly with Eli looking at maybe three seasons left in big blue, if the guy we draft is the next Rodgers I'd have no problem with it.
  2. Yeah after watching some more draft and combine stuff I think I'm leaning more towards Hargreaves then Lawson. The Giants have thrown a lot of money at the Dline and are paper thing at CB. DRC is an all pro, Jenkins is a kid who needs to work on playing a full game of football but can be an all pro, but outside of those two there really isnt anyone at CB to come in and play when/if the injuries start hitting the team. Hargreaves is a lock down corner and probably going to be a talent after a couple seasons of adjusting to the game. If he makes it past Tampa Bay that is, from what I hear the Bucs are drooling over the idea of getting Hargreaves, Gints might have to trade up to get him.
  3. He's not terrible, but he's not really anything to write home about either, benched for a few games by the 'Skins because he suddenly forgot how to play LB last year so that's always a positive sign. On this team though he's probably the most talented LB on the roster, which goes to show the level of talent JR has acquired for this team.
  4. He's never finished a season healthy and has missed significant game time but he's arguably one of the top 5 tackles in the game when he is.
  5. Dable is the french dude they signed. No idea who Obarski is.
  6. The TEs are the playmakers and the WRs are possession guys. They basically just flipped the "traditional" role for each position. They dont have to worry about paying some diva WR 10+ million a season because TEs are pretty cheap now a days.
  7. You use the #10 pick on someone who is going to be a difference maker. You don't use it on a WR who would probably go in the second round if this class had ANY talent at WR. Then use your second round pick on a guy like Doctson who is basically Steve Smith 2.0 and was one of El'is favorite targets and you dont have to worry about your top ten WR putting up #2 production.
  8. Surprised the Giant's couldnt match this, maybe the Bucs were willing to give more guaranteed money. Or the Giant's are still looking at throwing some money somewhere.
  9. He cant stay healthy, no one wants to invest in a guy who has only played in 65% of his games in his career.
  10. I'd love Doctson in the second round, even the third if he's still around (doubt it though). The guy just catches everything around him, he'd be a starter in the slot day one.
  11. I'm hopeful he'll return to atleast somewhat of his 2011 form. I've said it before JPP has honestly looked better AFTER blowing half his hand off then the last two years combined. Only problem is the guy puts up 12+ sacks this year he probably cashes in with the fucking Browns or something.
  12. I think the Giant's are still thinking defense in the draft. I can't see Lawson passing the Giant's if he falls, he's to much of a JR pick. Elliot is interesting but MacAttack is a passing guy, he's picked up the bad habit from when McCarthy would throw the ball 55+ times a game. Treadwell doesnt impress me in the slightest, he just doesnt seem like anything more then a guy who outran the slowest guy on the field or his guy fell down, but I aint no NFL scout. This WR class is probably one of the weakest ones in a long time and I think the Giants are better off waiting till round two for WR help. Like I said I think the only way the Giant's pick offence this year is if Lawson/Ragland are off the board before they pick, then it just might be Elliot.... if he makes it past the Cowboys/Eagles.
  13. Sorry, four years of mediocrity and a GM trying to pull of a swan song, makes me act all Redskins fan-ish.
  14. The scary thought, if the Giants dont compete in these next couple of years and go through another rebuild, OBJ is more then likely going to be playing for a different team.
  15. Like I said, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Johnson, etc. Losing just takes a toll on some guys, I mean you can only carry a shitty team for so long before it starts wearing on you I would imagine. Some players can probably shrug it off, others the paycheck helps but maybe these guys just realize they will never win on their current team and maybe they are just to loyal to jump ship.
  16. Only took him four years.
  17. Are we talking Cowher with a hall of fame DC or without?
  18. I'm just wondering if MacAttack/Spags/Some placeholder OC, can pull it all together. Sure you can bring in talent, doesnt mean you can make the talent work. Fuck I hope little Mara knew what he was doing bringing BigMacs in.
  19. Vernon, JPP, OO, Wynn, Ayers (if he's resigned), Lawson in the draft. Spags has his defense back.
  20. It's breaking on NFL network.
  21. He was a highly sought after undrafted player, the Jets got the guy and he's basically turned into one of the best run stopping DTs in the NFL.
  22. JR pulling some GM magic with that contract. Wonder if the kids attitude and the fact he gives up big plays had anything to do with it.
  23. Osweiler is going to the Texans? LOL Broncos about to be a 4-12 team. And the Texans just signed another average QB hoping he's gonna fix the issues they have at QB.
