Treehugger
I always thought he had more swagger than talent.
Storm
Theyre going to let Darkwa go for Jonathan Stewart, too. Not surprised Gettleman is behind the times.
Tempest
Big whoop. King played well for a guy who had to come in and play after all those injuries. We're not talking about a 22 year old special teams ace with elite speed and just needs some more time under his belt. He is 27 and this is most likely his last NFL contract. Darkwa is still a free agent who once again played well on a team that had little to be happy about. He's 26 and still looking for his next contract. Gettleman is making sometimes confusing and other times smart moves. Just because you are confused by it doesn't mean it was a bad one.

Storm
You were expecting the Giants to keep Darkwa? If were talking about Darkwa versus Jonathan Stewart the move is Darkwa. Its cheaper and has potential. Jonathan Stewart has diminished and has no potential. Approx a 3.5 ypc the last two years? Darkwa averages a full yard more per carry and 26 or not has potential left. Darkwa is also much cheaper and has a similar skill set. Crowell would have been another player to target. Gettleman grabbed a dude who is finished instead. No one was signing Jonathan Stewart. Only Dave Gettleman.

CrazedDogs
Darkwa is no better than Stewart even today. 4.5 ypc, sure, but only because the run game got no respect.

We can spend months talking about why Stewart and really doesn't matter. Like Darkwa, better if he isn't starting.
