But he hasn't done anything in the playoffs which is basically what QBs are measured by now a days. If Marino was in the game he'd be getting slammed too. Maybe calling him "average" was a bit too harsh, but he's merely "good" while being paid "great." Aside from his rookie deal he hasn't been worth his contract anywhere he's been. I've heard it said that he's "just good enough to lose" and I'd say that's accurate. He's certainly a competent player but far from a special one.
