BlueInCanada
One of the few bright spots on the team was just confirmed he had a ruptured achilles. Shame too the guy next to Fackrell was the best pass rusher on the field.
BlueInCanada
Also did I mention fuck 2020. This year can just suck a big ol' dick.
mastershake
Carter a bright spot? What did he do in 4.5 games? 1 sack? He's looking like another DG bust.
BlueInCanada
He clearly took a step forward this year. Since so many people seem to put stock into "pressures given up" by Tbomas, Carter was responsible for multiple QB hit and pressures this year along with tackles for losses. But yeah who cares that a clearly improving player is on IR lol

(Wise and Bowser who only plays about 50% of the snaps, while Carter plays ~80%)
Sephiroth
He gave us Olivier Vernon production at Bj Hill price!

Not like he's a pro bowler or anything, but he's a starter. the difference in the run defense with and without him was painful to see on Sunday. He also only has 2 tackles for loss. He's meh

I ruptured mine in 2010.... not hard to come back from... but you're never full speed again.

He's meh lol, well nobody ever said he was destined for a gold jacket. Carter is closer to being the least of our problems than an actual problem. He was doing a lot of dirty work this season, both him and Ximenes, eating lots of blocks. Now both are out, and the run D is not what it should be when the strength of the D is at defensive tackle. I'm just looking beyond this year and thinking we likely have to move on from Carter, or at least just consider him a rotational player.
CrazedDogs
yeah, or at worst, one of the less notable players starting on defense, sort of how Reggie Torbor was for us back around 2007.

CrazedDogs
Yeah I was surprised he had so few pressures, because he's clearly been right there in the play.
boohyah
Carter was having his best season. Too bad. Pity he's not Nas, he'd be back next week.
