For Nemesis... breaking news on a Former Giant

Ike was/is a class act and a damn good receiver when healthy. I can still see the cheap shot he took in his rookie year. He caught a pass right near the goal line, was flat on his face, down, and the Jacksonville safety - Hudson, I think - came at him like a missle and buried his helmet betweeen Ike's shoulder blades. Today it would be a penalty but it wasn't then. Ike managed to get up and trot off the field in obvious agony, with his body twisted and bent. Things like that always seemed to happen to him and you never heard a word of complaint. I like Ike and wish him nothing but the best.

Gmen329, it was a clean hit. The safety did his job... Ike fragile body just couldn't handle the NFL. This is why he spent most of his NFL career on IR. He was slow, he couldn't catch a cold and was injury prone. One of the worse draft picks ever.

Bullshit. Talk about leading with the helmet!!! And hitting a defenseless player!!! The play was dead and the hit was late and dirty. In today's NFL it would absolutely be a penalty AND a note from the Commissioner on Wednesday.

And he wasn't slow and he had good hands. It was a good draft choice that just caught some bad breaks. It happens.

For starters, The Jaguar safety did not lead with his helmet... He lead with his shoulder, and hit him with his knee in the back of the head after Ike caught the ball. So Hillary was not defenseless. It was clean hit...

Ike Hillary was probably the slowest NFL receiver in the league. Hands down... And was among the leaders in drop balls every year... Keep in mind, Ike spend alot of time on IR. To say he was fast or had good hands is stretching it.

To say he was the slowest WR in the league or one of the worst draft picks is stretching it even more.
