  1. Alrighty. I'm sure everyone has heard the crap goin round about Plax's knee. Personally, I think they are purposely blowing this out of proportion. I'm sure it's messed up, but nothing a shot won't cure. However, I'm definitely curious to see what's up with practice today. If he's limited, we're fine. A DNP, I might worry a bit. Discuss.
  2. Is that a real article or from the Onion? If its real, damn he's a jealous tart. I love it.
  3. DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Take the 3. We're not a push over like San Diego, and will put up way more of a fight.
  5. I went batshit insane after the 2nd game and deemed the D as the worst I've seen in Giants history. Eh..... damn that crow tasting good right now.
  6. WE GOIN TO THE SUPER BOWL MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. According to Mike Garafolo's blog, the Tuck deal has been finalized. If you see Justin Tuck without sleeves during Sunday's game, it's not because he can't afford them. Tuck and the Giants officially finalized his five-year, $30-million contract extension today. The deal, which includes $16 million in guaranteed money, will last until the 2013 season. Tuck will get his signing bonus now, but his 2008 salary will remain $520,000. "Yeah, I'm happy," he said today, "but let's not turn our focus on anything other than the Packers. It's good to get the deal done, but we'll celebrate that later. We've got a game to play." Tuck was nonetheless relieved to have financial security. "They're a top-notch organization and they like to keep their players here," Tuck said of the Giants, later adding: "Top-notch as far as keeping me out of (the negotiations) and letting me focus on football." As for the sleeves, Tuck still says he's not wearing them -- no matter what the temperature will; be. He might be rich now, but he might also be a little nuts, if you ask me. But what do I know? I'll be nestling a cup of hot cocoa in a heated press box by the third quarter. In other words, Tuck will be earning every penny on Sunday. MG nice. Even better that it's an extension.
  8. Awesome work by Reese to get Tuck locked up long term. I'd definitely like to see Snee get an extension next.
  9. Strahan was back in the game, so i don't think it's too serious. I saw Wilk on the sidelines still in uniform, so hopefully he'll be ok too. no more injuries!
  10. Definitely have a good chance against the Cowboys. I curious to see how tweaked TOs ankle is. If it truly is a problem for him, I think we win. Otherwise, it's a toss up. As far as yesterdays game goes, props to everyone from the coaches down to the players. Aside from the 1st quarter, they dominated. Damn it was nice seeing a playoff win again.
  11. We're gonna stomp Tampa. It's gonna be a trip. They don't have a chance.
  12. The Moss unsportmanlike was a nice gift which directly led to a TD. The refs were 'meh' last night, and most definitely more calls went in favor of the Pats, but if our D takes care of business on the numerous 3rd and longs, things are different. Don't let refs decide a game. Really, to hell with the refs. We now know we can play with the best team in the league. We pushed them further than any team yet. Let's make sure we get a rematch.
  13. Agreed. Awesome coverage, but Wilk had to look back to make it look like he was positioning for the ball. Regardless, Wilk played good last night. Hopefully he can keep it going just in case he has to start next week.
  14. Preach on brother Doggy! BTW, was it Washington who beat the '84 49ers?
  15. First, you should be banned for posting a Serby article. He's a worthless hack who does nothing but stir shit up about the Giants cause he hates the team beyond belief. Why don't you go quoting Francessa too while your at it? Second, of course you play to win the game. If you don't and you take it easy, injuries happen. But you don't shoot yourself in the foot. Plax & Jacobs have no business being in the game. Play the other starters for a half and that's it. F the press and F history. The only thing that matters now is a Superbowl ring. Period.
  16. I think this is a great matchup for the Giants. I truely believe TB is a product of the piece of shit division they are in. I have no fear of Garcia. He doesn't have a TO or Westbrook to bail his ass out this time. It's still a couple weeks until the game, but I have a feeling we could blow TB away in this one.
  17. OC has little to do with it. It's still TCs playbook that they have to call the plays from. It's the playbook that needs to be revamped and TC must realize this, or he be shit canned.
  18. It's not TCs fault he was handed a shit roster filled with brainless idiots to work with by Accorsi. Where the fuck was all this outrage towards that retard for the decade he was here? Jesus H Christ, he totally fucked this team beyond belief and no one says shit about him. Just jump on the usual suspects: TC & Eli. They do deserve their share of the blame, but the witch hunt by media is fucking pathetic. I guess blaming the person responsible for the stupidity that still emenates from the organization doesn't sell enough papers.
  19. The press is simply pissed off that they can't get a rise out of Eli to come up with better newspaper filler. The bottom line is Eli is better than 75% of the QBs in the league, but his name is not Tom Brady or Peyton, so the media hates him. I wish we passed on him, but we didn't, he's our QB and he is what he is & the criticism he gets is rediculous and undeserving. If the media needs a goat, blame that sack of shit Accorsi for fucking the team for his entire stay.
  20. 1. I pretty much agree with Boo 2. This is an average team. They are simply not very good. Not bad either, but they are not a very good team. 3. I will kill Ernie Accorsi if I ever see him on the street. That being said, no reason we don't make the playoffs when the teams in the rearview mirror are even worse. I'll even bet on a first round win.
  21. I would endorse that. That's defnitely a more realistic option as well. The D definitely gets the short end. The league wants scoring, hence the bogus, impossible to interpret rules protecting the qb. I miss the days when Montana, Bradshaw, Simms & the rest had to have a set to play qb.
  22. I believe this needs to be addressed by the league. If it were up to me, I would make ANY pass by the QB that does not make it past the los a fumble. in addition, any pass that goes out of bounds before it reaches the los will be marked where it went out. This would negate is it or is it not a fumble/intentional grounding and leaves no grey area whatsoever.
  23. I gotta disagree with Papa there. I always pay attention to the play clock (cause this happens week in week out)and they never got to the line with that much time on the clock. Sometimes they lined up with 10-11 seconds (which usually had me in shock), but the the average is by far around 5-7 seconds. Papa is the man, but I have no idea what he's looking at.
