  1. Over on BBI, there is a post that says on ESPN1050 it was brought up that Plax was out till at least 4AM, with Bradshaw, partying.
  2. PC gone dumb. You can't get bent out of shape over something a company did over 50 years ago. While we're at it, don't allow anyone who owns a VW to park at a game anymore. This is more stupid than bringing up slavery reparations.
  3. Shit happens. Good teams find a way to win. This is no excuse for us not to win another SB.
  4. I really hope he can handle both PR & KR return duties. if he becomes a serviceable WR, that's some damn good gravy. RW probably gonna get cut if that happens.
  5. This Paul Dottino interview needs to be listened to. If this stuff is true, Shockey is an even bigger baby than thought. Great insight into what has transpired.
  6. eh, other than TE, we really had no needs, and don't have the roster space. I actually like that we're already loading up on picks for next years draft. We have our 7 picks, 2 from the Saints, & I believe we're on track for 2 Comp picks. With 11 picks next year, trading up to get a player JR really likes will be cake. I hope NO goes to shit!
  7. Oh well. I'd have preferred a 2nd & 3rd or 4th, but whatev. I'll miss the blocking. That's it. Otherwise, it's addition by substraction and he can let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. I'm glad this is over.
  8. Agreed..........except for the pissers. They definitely need new pissers.
  9. Tix will be jacked to over $100 for cheap seats. $105 i believe (as of now). You are also forced to buy both preseason game sat full price. The waiting list will go down, no doubt, but they'll end up falling to corps. All the peeps in the 100 section will need to get their seats moved to the 300 section since their PSL will be batshit insane. The "real" fans on the list won't get that many seats.
  10. hehehe.... all the peeps who have been complaining will now have a real reason to complain about the noise level. You'll have a bunch of peeps sittin on their hands in the 100 & 200 sections. My biggest worry, though, is that eventually ticket agencies will start acquiring a good portion of the PSLs over time. When that happens, there will be no fans left at the games.
  11. article We all knew it was coming. A $1,000 PSL for the 300 sections wouldn't be terrible, but still totally unnecessary since the stadium costs are being split between 2 teams and the amount they get from sponsors is insane. Eh, at least Hollywood Tisch will be happy that the place will be filled with celebs and business idiots.
  12. I'm not sure of the exact specifics, you can find them on BBI, but, in essence, Shock has a 1 year deal right now and he's losing incentives ($300,000 per year I believe) due to production he can't possibly hit. There is no guaranteed $ left after this year from how it sounds. And hey, i have no problem with him getting paid. Whatever he gets, good for him. I also believe there is some resentment from Shock towards Reese regarding a trade, but I think that is a byproduct of Shocks contract dispute and that is why I'm knocking Shockey on this. Nem: I honestly don't know what other routes you could have Shock run. They do send him downfield, they give him short routes, stuff over the middle..... You don't see the WR stuff like in Fassel's offense, but like I said, we have Plax & Amani (& now Smith & Manningham) so there is no need. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Actually, I really don't see a difference in the way he is used compared to Bavaro back in the day. Same block first mentality, similar routes.... Bavaro simply executed better. Execution is the key, and I don't see Shock doing it on a super consistent basis. Anyhoo, I still want him back in the same capacity as last year. He is a more complete TE in this O. In a pass happy O, his awesome blocking is wasted, and that team will never win anything. D & the running game win championships.
  13. I should have said if we keep our young nucleus intact. if so, i see no reason we can't do what the Pats have been doing for 8 years now.
  14. Come on now Nem. Please stop with the "he's not being used correctly" mumbo jumbo. He had more passes thrown his way last year except for only 6 or 7 other TEs in the league. And that was only because he was injured! He's a TE. What is his job except blocking and getting the ball thrown to him as often as it is? How many balls do you honestly expect him to catch when you have a superior receiver in Plax & Toomer on the team? We have the best RB trio in the league as well. You have to run the ball to win games in January. Explain to me exactly how he is being misused. Not once has a Shockey apologist anywhere explained this. It's a farce like Santa Claus. Next, you have zero proof the Giants leaked the rumor. The Shockey is unhappy crap came out before the trade rumors started. Right then and there, Shock needed to step the fuck up, say he wants to be a Giant for life. Why didn't he do that? You can't get mad at the Giants for attempting to trade him. He's not a main cog in the machine, so like it or not, he's expendable and IF a good offer came along, you pull the trigger. The rumors were swirling of Shock's unhappiness, and then trade offers came. You can't fault the Giants for taking offers. This is a business, and like I said earlier, they're in it to win it. Shock don't want to be on a team that will be a perennial SB contender for the next decade? Fine. Hold out & get put on the Did Not Report list.
  15. Very true. I definitely give credit to EA for having a hand in the formation of the current team. However, i believe, and like you said, it was the input of Reese, & to an extent TC, in the later years that really paved the way for the SB team. Especially when it comes to the 2nd-7th rounders. His years working with Fassel.....ugh. That O-line scared the shit out of me. Same for the secondary. Regardless, he did a great deal in helping to form the SB team. I applaud him for that.
  16. O shit. There goes the league. At least when he was GM of the Giants, his stupidity was limited to our own team. Now he gets to influence the entire NFL. DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. He never denied any of the rumors. The rumors surfaced he was unhappy and then months go by and Shock says nothing. The truth is, Shock & Drew went out of their way to not address the rumors. That right there in effect confirms the rumors. You have his QB, GM & coaches saying they want him back. nothing. He could have come out like Plax, and said he wants to be a Giant, blah blah blah. He didn't. Instead he blasts the organization. Nice. Then he decides to not hang with the other injured players during minicamp. The same players he is supposedly so concerned about. You honestly can't tell me you don't think Rosenhaus let it leak that he wants a trade. Trade = new contract = more $ for Jeremy & Drew. It's the organizations goal to win a SB. They have to do what's best for the team. How is this all a media fabrication?
  18. THAT is how you go about renegotiating a contract. I still don't think we should give him the moon (an extra year, salary converted to a bonus, slight bump in salary is cool), but bravo for doing this the right way Plax!
  19. Agreed. It's really a shame since the Gints front office has had a workable relationship with Rosenhaus for years, and then he goes and pulls this crap. That sumbitch sure knows what bs to feed his clients to get them brainwashed. I really thought Shockey would have too much honor for this shite. This is starting to get into T.O. stupidity levels. I've really lost any respect I had for him. Fortunately, being SB Champs softens the blows
  20. There's the right way and there's the wrong way to go about getting a new contract. Shockey totally blew it and has proven beyond a doubt what a total idiot he truly is. He should be exiled to Arizona.
