  1. JAGR!!!!!!!! Goal # 53!!!!! :worshippy:
  2. Nice enough to score the tying goal 20 seconds into the 2'nd period!!! :worshippy:
  3. You shouldn't expect so much so soon from a rookie & an undrafted FA in his second season, with experience at least one of them will become a competant CB. I personally think that Webster will be a fine NFL CB, he just needs another training camp under his belt. That's great but is he a saftey, nope... he's a CB, his first job is to cover. Cover skills were something that he never displayed prominantly enough to keep his job here, not to mention the hands of stone that we all know too well. Probably not any better but hardly worse, the CB opposite Peterson was a question mark going into last season as well after Allen's poor play & the draft acqusition of Corey Webster. I really can't see going back into this season with the Wills as our starters, we have already seen what we have in Allen & Peterson. One can't cover & the other hasn't played a put together 16 healthy starts in two seasons, that's a bigger liability in my eyes over a veteran (albeit aged but healthy) & a second year CB who seems to have plenty of promise. Besides, who knows.... given how little interest Allen has recieved in the FA market he could return if he lowers his asking price & agrees to compete for his job (I personally doubt this will happen but, who knows anything is possible.)
  4. IN, BTW Money: Please correct the spelling, cheers & beers! I'm assuming all times are PM not AM, correct? Can't wait for draft day, thanks! -R.C.
  5. Wasn't at the game or able to watch (Fucking OLN!!!! ) but always wish that we could have gotten #2 back in Rangers Blue for the post-season. With that being said it will be a while before I buy another Rangers jersey (kinda tough to top one of the all-time greatest Rangers) however I do think that I might be looking at either a Lundqvist or Prucha jersey.... I just want to make sure that they stick around for awhile (unlike the last jersey I bought..... Michael York..... traded for that waste of space Tom Poti) but being a defenseman myself Leetch will always have a place in my heart.
  6. Too close tonight for my liking although I'll take the "W" anytime, was at the game & these were my observations: - As underrated as I'm certian he is without Marek Malik in the lineup it's like the Rangers defensemen look lost, as far as I'm concerned he really might be our best defenseman when it comes to leadership & other intangiables (we know he isn't the most gifted athelete but he does what it takes to get the job done). Should definatley be wearing an "A". - Albeit it only came from one player (Holleweg), the Rangers did something tonight that I haven't seen them do in awhile..... they forechecked & hit the opposing defensemen. As a defenseman I can tell you that it's distracting as hell when you know that you've got a guy breathing down your neck who is going to hit you when you get the puck. - Fedor Tyutin should be ashamed of his performance tonight, falling down twice (once resulting in a goal, the other resulting in a breakaway) was not a way to display you prowess when Ovechkin is on the ice. Both he and Tom Poti need to play with more of a physical presence, defensemen shouldn't (no matter what their size) allow the opposing fowards to push them off of the puck. - Ovechkin is this good now (by that I mean easily as talented as Jagr).... I'll be really fucking scared when he gets some talent around him, between him & the kid drafted immediatley after him (Malkin of the Pens) there are going to be some outstanding talents in the Eastern Conference next year. - Dianius Zubrus was his usual pain-in-the-Rangers-ass self, one of those guys who only scores about 18 goals a season but seems to always save his best when playing against the Rangers. Must come from being an ex-Flyer, there are a few of these guys out there around the league.... any Rangers fan worth his salt knows who they are & just prays that they don't have that much of an outcome on the game. - Good to see Petr Prucha get a goal & an assist tonight, keeping his hand hot will pay dividends the closer we get to the post-season. - Jagr's goal was a thing of beauty, chanting "MVP!" never seems to get old this season. I have to admit though I still think that something (either his groin or his hip) is bothering him.... his skating just looks like it has a hitch in it.... unnatural like, it just doesn't look as smooth & fluid as it should. Anyhow, good win.... Let's Go Rangers!!!
  7. Weight get's his 2'nd of the game.... 3-1 Canes. Nylander scores at the end of the 2'nd, 3-2 end of the second.
  8. This isn't going to happen, Coughlin won't tolerate any of Me-shawn's antics.
  9. Not the worst place in the world to be stationed, how's the weather?? Oh wait, I've been there.... it never changes unless there is a hurricane or is it a typhoon in the Pacific?? That sucks, bet you wish you could stay huh?
  10. Deflected off of Betts & in behind Weekes, 2-1 Canes. The Rangers aren't hitting the Canes at all, they must step up the physicality of their play if they don't want to just get rubbed off of every puck. Interference against Kasparitis, Carolina to the power play.
  11. Robbins (when he was in shape) was a pretty good pass rusher from the inside but wasn't really strong against the run, I don't think that moving Moore inside would be a solution as he lacks the heft to take on double teams & has always been projected to be an edge rusher as opposed to an interior defender. IMO, the solution to this "problem" (if there really is one) will not come at the expense of a high priced FA.... Clancy really didn't cost us an arm & a leg but was more than adequate when called upon. The Giants will either sign a mid-price FA DT or draft one on the first day of the draft.
  12. I hope they pay you alot, I don't know what you do for a living but working until 9 PM sucks.
  13. There is no way that Parcells would be able to handle both of them on the same team, there aren't enough passes to go between the two to keep them both happy.
  14. Just a thought about Carolina's roster, isn't Glen Wesley like 142 years old?? I think that he played on the Bruins team that lost to the Oilers in the 1990 Stanley Cup finals. Weekes is playing well, this game is full of emotion, energy.... big hits & scoring opportunities. I love the new NHL! End of the 1'st, 1-1. Bad news, Ruchinsky went to the locker room 1/2 way through the period & was favoring his left leg.
  15. Cullen scores for the Canes, 1-0 Carolina. P.S. Poti sucks , he allowed Cullen to cruise in through the backdoor. Staal takes his 2'nd minor btu we don't convert the PP..... however we do score at even strength shortly after. 1-1 :worshippy:
  16. Dude, have you been missing alot of sleep lately?? June plays for the Colts, Hope plays for the Steelers.
  17. There is a bit of confusion surrounding Cato June and rightfully so, he did come out of Michigan where he did play saftey but started playing LB when he came to the NFL.
  18. We lose 1 DT and look at who is crying wolf, overreacting like a little girl over spilled milk...... for the love of god FA started on Saturday = 4 days ago. Not only that there really wasn't a dominant DT in FA this year, that statement even covers Gerard Warren, Maake Kemoeatu & Ryan Pickett who were the top 3 rated DT's amongst this years FA class (as rated by ESPN's Len Pasquarelli). It's not like Reggie White was out there for the taking & we were doing nothing to get him. What is Rome doing? Might I also add: Randle-El - Flashy but was never a #1 WR and will be asked to play one for that kind of money, sure handed & good for the gadget/trick plays but less than 40 catches a year now garners this kind of money from only a handfull teams (Washington, Dallas, Oakland). I think that Tennessee got a better player in David Givens (who isn't a glorified slot reciever like Randle-El) than Washington did in Randle-El. Christian Fauria - A good, hardworking TE but if this is a "major" offseason acquisition then your offseason is pretty bland, not only that (Fab 4 pay attention here, it involves one of your favorite subjects.... the TE) with his signing there will be fewer passes for Chris Cooley (whom the Fab 4 think is a better TE than Shockey). Fauria isn't a spectacular athelete but does bring his lunchbox to work every day, again if you are going to ask him to be a gamebreaker you might be looking for too much but if you need a TE who will give you effort & hustle he's a good find. Adam Archuleta - Don't the Skins already have a saftey that plays as the 8'th man in the box on running plays (Taylor)?? I was only impressed with Archuleta 3 years ago when he was a playmaker for the Rams in their latest playoff season, he's injury prone & really isn't a guy who is great in coverage. His hands are suspect and hasn't really played up to his 1'st round billing possibly due to the lack of focus on defense in St. Louis. A plus for the Giants is that every time he (Archuleta) gets matched up against the Giants Shockey burns him like charcoal. Brandon Lloyd - If you want a guy who constantly complains about how much he gets the ball, has a questionable work ethic & is a locker room cancer then go ahead & take him but not on my team... thanks. Andre Carter - Are you kidding me?? One good season 3 years ago earns you this kind of contract.... man, I'm definatley in the wrong business. A starting linebacker that averages fewer than 40 tackles per season I don't want on my team.
  19. Besides, when exactly are they supposed to start breaking in Jason Campbell??? After the season goes down the drain?? Two years from now when they finally give up on Brunell?? If they do that he's not gonna be any good to them & will be another one of Snyder's follies.
  20. There was no way to know that Gibbs at the age of almost 70 was willing to coach again, I doubt that he would have said yes to anyone other than the Foreskins.
  21. Cano solo shot to left field, 1-0 Yankees..... took the first pitch from Ponson over the wall.
  22. The dude looks like Lattimer from "The Program", if they really were going to do it Hawk is a stud.... I'd welcome it but not at the cost of next year's #1 as well. Maybe if the deal were to include an exchange of first round picks in this years draft, this year's 2'nd rounder & either a player on our current roster or next year's 2'nd rounder but nothing more.
  23. Dude, we all know you hate Willaim Joseph but don't even begin to tell me that Lance Legree is head & shoulders above #94.... that's just blasphemous. Legree couldn't even be effective when asked to play in a rotation for the Jets.... how is he supposed to come in here & supplant a starting DT when even in his days as a Giant he was nothing more than a backup?? He's been given a chance to prove himself through multiple training camps & seasons with 2 different teams & he couldn't take the starting position from anyone on either team..... this subject needs to be dropped immediatley as it is summarily done & over.
