  1. Yeah, he was, but as evidenced by my not listing him....forgettable. I'd just like us to get our own Kelce/Gronk/Kittle type of guy. We need a TE dude, dude.
  2. 2005? Yeah, they called and wanted their beach theme back.
  3. I guess if we take a WR at 6 he's going to be a #1 when Wandale hasn't really been given a chance yet to be the alpha WR. I'd just rather have Bowers if he's there than a WR, especially with all the WR depth in this draft. As much as all of us have been waiting for the 2nd coming of LT, we haven't had a great TE since Mark Bavaro. Ok, maybe since the Black Unicorn, but still....rather have Bowers was all I meant.
  4. Never heard of the guy until yesterday. The locals were all afire because he left. Jacobs whoever they scrounge up, will certainly miss him.
  5. Stop. Just....stop it. You're just jealous Schoen isn't implementing your plan...AGAIN! Burns is going to bring us all satisSACKtion this year.
  6. Stimpy, you idiot.....The Pats are re-signing Onwenu to a three-year, $57 million deal with $38 million guaranteed. Was never gonna happen, although, if you threw $157 million (Hunt and Onwenu) at the Oline, even Tommy Cutlets could succeed.
  7. Bowers. The next George Kittle. It's too soon to give up on Wandale, he hasn't had anyone to throw to him. QB and WR next draft, although as was pointed out to me, Arch Manning is available in '26 not '25. Somehow we're going to get him. Archie is going to make sure of that.
  8. I'm still hoping Jones shows why he got all that money. Hoping for a better line so we can see what he can really do for at least his last year. We've seen him play pretty good even with a shit line on occasion so, full of hope...again.
  9. Maybe we get lucky and this turns out to be one of those guys that gets a fire under his ass with a different team. WTF do I know, I live in Vegas, my whole life is a crapshoot.
  10. Who gives a shit. We got Thibs and Burns now. Saquon won't be running anywhere. The Eagles lost Kelce and some other Eagle douche. That line will be okay, but it won't be the same. Plus Feltcher Cox retired. Not gonna be the same Eagles. Saquon should have gone to the Bears. They've got the capital to do something special if they play their cards right. Fuck the Eagles and GO GIANTS!
  11. I wish my bosses doubled employee salaries every year.
  12. It's ok, you're no Lughead. We trust you.
  13. Boy. and foolish me was hoping we could swing him and Onwenu.
  14. This guy is the luckiest dude ever. He gets "screwed" in Washington getting tagged twice and makes a shit ton of guaranteed money, goes to Minny and gets a shit ton of fully guaranteed money, and now, just for kicks, goes to Atlanta and tops it off with a $100 million guaranteed cherry. And the dude has won nothing. Astounding.
  15. Wow. Not A surprise, but a surprise. $85 million dead cap hit.
  16. Hindsight is 20/20, but if they unloaded Jones last year instead of giving him that extension, we'd be in the top 3 without bankrupting our draft picks. Especially to the Patriots who hate us anyway and probably will want more than 3 2nd's just for shits and grins. I almost hate that Minny playoff win, so much has gone wrong since.
  17. Yeah, let him go and draft the next Kelce.
  18. Posted today: https://sports.yahoo.com/darren-waller-still-debating-between-a-return-to-giants-or-retirement-i-have-not-made-a-decision-either-way-183437047.html#:~:text=Darren Waller still debating between a return to Giants or retirement%3A 'I have not made a decision either way'
  19. And so it begins. Now restructure Thomas and Lawrence, cut Robinson, Boogie and Brightwell and Bada Bing Bada Boom, they've got close to $72 million in cap space.
  20. I'm trying to be optimistic Schoen will do the right thing and not the Gettleman thing by trading up, bankrolling the team, just to grab Penix or Nix who will be available in the 2nd round. What I'm hoping he does (if he makes any trade at all) is trade down for more picks and then takes Penix or Nix in the 2nd.
  21. All good points and why I'm not an NFL GM. I've never been a Jones guy, but he's the guy in there and while I think he's been given plenty of time to develop, he hasn't been given the tools to develop. Or, should I say, the right tools to develop. That line has been bad for, what, over a decade? But not as bad as it's been while DJ has been QB. And 2023 was just laughable. I am of the firm conviction that if we somehow managed to land CJ Stroud last year, he isn't as successful here as he was in Houston, and neither will any rookie we manage to land this year if that's the route we go. Plus....DJ....all that money just to watch him fail? I don't know dudes. There's just so much to be done that's not gonna get fixed in one offseason. I wish there was a way to just dump everyone, zero out our cap and go build a team with $255 million dollars from scratch.
  22. No matter what we do, we're not contending for a while. But we can be competitive and improve. It's so obvious to everyone I can't believe it needs to be said but... We have to pay Jones $40 million (although I think the 2nd year goes up to $50 million) anyway so just invest in the O-line. They have roughly $35 million in cap space right now. Cut Glowinski, restructure Thomas and Lawrence, cut Robinson, Boogie and Brightwell and Bada Bing Bada Boom, they've got close to $72 million in cap space. Sign (G) Mike Onwenu from New England, and (OT) Robert Hunt from Miami and that line instantly becomes a top o-line with Thomas and Schmidt. Gotta build up the whole team and then get a QB next year when DJ can be cut or traded. The line can't be ignored any longer. Hell, with a line like that, and enough cap space, we may be able to keep Saquon and really let him do his thing. I just feel like this year's QB class isn't spectacular and we'd just be reaching again. There are some decent backup QB's available this year to get us through if need be (think Kerry Collins or Warner before Eli) if either Jones goes down or just outright outplays him until we find our franchise guy. I'd take Baker in a heartbeat with the way he played last year. Things have to change, they just do. And they have to change smartly.
