  1. Goggle Man is back!! Lets see what hes got.
  2. No problem man. How'd ya do? I agree that Pagan should have been in the 2 spot. The guys in the booth thought it might have been to break up the lefties at the bottom of the order. Pagan is a better fit at the top of the order right now. He has a hot bat and speed. Pelfrey was fantastic tonight.
  3. Link WOW. Castillo to the 8 Hole. I'm proud of Willie.
  4. Well I'll be damned. I guess i dreamt that. Sounds to me like some agents are getting a little nervous. Maybe they realize that they have driven the bar too high in recent years and see the teams are ready to put an end to it. That reads as a huge cut in their signing bonus percentage.
  5. I love how McCarthy takes a jab at Phillips right there. I get the feeling Wade isn't the most respected coach in NFL circles.
  6. I can't beleive people at the stadium booed him. Rediculous. He still went almost 7 innings. Mets fans sense of entitlement after 1.5 good years is absolutely amazing to me right now.
  7. My bad. You were right. I found an article on it. Link I could have swore that the Vikings completely missed out on their first rounder one year, but I havn't found anything on it yet.
  8. Thats not true. If you miss your pick, you miss your pick. It's gone. The team just has to wait for it's next round pick.
  9. You gotta give it to the man. He came in, pitched well and got the job done. He got a huge double play ball, and his teammates actually were able to miraculously complete the play without a bone headed mistake. That helps. I have this feeling that he is gonna get his shit together and have a good year for us. You also have to tip your cap to Billy Wagner. He struck out 2 of their best hitters and looked impressive doing it. Sure he walked Utley, but so what. I'd rather the guy walk than hurt us with his bat, and it didn't hurt the team in the end so who cares. Fun game to watch I thought. 2 Observations: 1. David Wright always seems to walk in a big spot, which is nice, but a little frustrating when you are looking for the big hit. Beltran ALWAYS strikes out in clutch situations.
  10. Every call affects a games out come. That was a VERY close call. If the call went against the Mets, we would all be pissed and you'd be doing a little crowing today. I'm sure things will even out with the other 16 games to be played.
  11. Has anyone figured out who the hell that guy is yet? He has no part of ownership in that company, so who is he?
  12. I'm with ya on that to a point. I blame Omar more than Willie for last year. Every time I heard about Omar's guy being in the club house coddling the spanish speaking players and undermining Willie drove me crazy. Also I don't like the fact that Willie wasn't allowed to hire his own coaches. That's not the way a franchise should be run. I also don't like the reliance on old, injury prone talent to be the main lineup protection. I wish Gotay was still on the team, cuz I liked the young infield that seemed to be developing. (Although that may have been Willies decision) I've also taken to the Giants younger healthier, team oriented philosiphy Where I don't agree with you is that I won't bolt on the team, I'll just suffer along until the good times come along again. Those moments seem so much sweeter when you've suffered for a little while.
  13. Nice inning. I'll take that shit errors and all. Damn fellas, I'm pretty frustrated too, but I haven't seen one positive comment. Especially this inning where they've driven the ball around the field pretty good.
  14. I'll take it. Way to go the other way D. Wright.
  15. 2 hole has to take a couple of pitches with Reyes on. Shouldn't be swinging first pitch.
  16. You know what guys, you might blast me for this, but I am sick and tired of hearing Willie this and Willie that. Scott Schoenwise (sp) may have put men on, but he got the fuckin double play ball when he needed it. Delgado is a major league baseball player, making millions of dollars, and he can't begin a routine fucking double play?? I don't want to hear about Reyes not giving him a target either. The runner is directly in front of him, and he throws it into his back. That is unforgivable. Willies "guy" got the ball the team needed when he had to, and our multi million dollar first basemen can't make an accurate 80 foot throw. THATS why this game was lost. Sorry, but thats the bottom line.

    Bums

I missed most of the Braves games, cuz I was asleep with the flu. I did see the last 3 or 4 inning yesterday and saw D. Wright come up with runners on second and third with 2 outs TWICE and ground out both times. When your biggest clutch hitter isn't coming through the entire game, your team has no chance.
  18. Yeah, I probably could. It's too bad that Glavine had to stick with a team like the Braves. He is a stand up guy. Let the boo birds be heard I guess.
  19. Couldn't let that go by without a nod.
  20. Man, my girlfriend order that for me on Valentine's day and we keep getting 30 day back order notices. I already have SI, so she just ordered the book. I guess new subscriptions giving the book away free takes precedence. Weak.
  21. I hope we beat him in a good game. Ever since that last game at Shea I've had conflicted feelings on Glavine. It's easy to revert back to hating Glavine, since I did for so long before he became a Met. But I was also at the game where Shea cheered him as a hero after his 300th win. It's amazing to me how fast opinions can change on a sports figure.
  22. 16 cents?! I would have loved to hear the end of that auction go penny for penny. Rediculous. Meh. Sounds like revisionist history to me. I think he is just trying to get the guy off the hook. It sure looked like he was going to catch that ball. His imediate reaction said he was going to catch it also.
  23. Beautiful start to Johan's Mets career. 7 IP 2 ER 8 SO.
  24. You are gonna Milledge watch all year aren't you (Not taking a shot at you). Ryan Chuch has an RBI off a lefty and Schneider made an amazing diving play into the dugout. I like the 2 guys we got. Gritty TEAM type guys. I don't think that trade comes close to the Kazmir or Bannister trades.
