  1. No offense taken. I just found the comment that my post was the most rediculous one you've seen hilarious, with some of the stuff I've read here (Especially from badegg and his alter ego). I agree with most of what you say in this post. My only point on the receivers possibly not running the right routes, is durring a hot read the ball has to leave the QBs hand so fast he has to trust the receiver to be in the spot he expects them to be in. But I agree it is absolutely unacceptable to turn the ball over inside our 20.
  2. THATS the most rediculous post you've ever read!!
  3. Agreed. But the one pass interference no call with the d-back on Burress' chest 1 second before the ball got there would have put us on the 5 at least. I don't think we got any points out of that drive.
  4. Not happy with his performance in this game. Pretty satisfied with his carrer so far. Given some of the other quarterbacks I've watched at the helm of this team, I'm happy with what we have, and think he's great when the team plays good around him (which all quarterbacks need). Eli did play bad today, but I can only put 2 interceptions on his tab. 1 int was Shockey missing that he was the hot receiver on a blitz (which is amazing because they were blitzing a lot) and not looking for the ball. 1 was tipped on what probably would have been a TD pass (o-line has to get those arms down). 1 was with Burress rolling his break because his ankle seems to be in shards at this point. The last one he was trying to force something to happen. 1 bad incompletion was Amani running an out as the hot receiver when Eli threw a slant (could be on either so I can't lay blame without knowing). He played bad all the same. That said, when your quarterback is struggling, the receivers have to step up and help him. This in no way happened by any receiver on the team. Drops all around. Shockey looked like he was running at half speed for a while in the 2nd freaking quarter. That's Crap. David Deihl suddenly forgot where on the feild he is supposed to line up. The team waits to try the scat back until half way through the third quarter. That is just a fraction of the problems from todays game. The team is still 7-4. Chalk it up to an extremely bad game and move forward controling our own destiny.
  5. Except for the multiple pass interference calls that weren't called. Thats the breaks.
  6. I hear ya on that one. I kinda felt like a traitor rooting for him sometimes. I definitely cheered for him while he was here, but it just never really felt right.
  7. Can't wait to boo that prick out of Shea. I just hope he pitches like he did in his last game.
  8. This is the worst game I have ever seen Amani Toomer play in his career. 2-3 dropped passes. 1 on the 2 he could have easily fell into the endzone on, and a few terrible penalties. Aweful.
  9. I plan on gettin down there at 10. If we can tailgate where we park, great. If not I will try to find some other people we know at the stadium and hang out.
  10. Thanks guys. What road are the hotels off of? The few times I've gone to games, we took 17 to Patterson Plank road and into the parking lot. Are the hotels off 3?
  11. I have tickets for Sunday's game, but wasn't able to get a parking pass. How early should I get there, and are they being extremely strict with the tailgaiting rules as promised?
  12. If it's that easy, why do the G-men have a hard time getting past the 20? Must not know the wind in their own stadium.
  13. I'm not judging, and in no way is this a negative post toward Eli. I just thought the wins and losses numbers would be reversed.
  14. Eli's Season Splits I was checking Eli's splits for this season out the other day. I think it is very interesting that his QB rating is 27 points lower and his completion percentage is 7% lower in wins than in losses. The second quarter is by far his worst quarter and the 4th is outstanding. Make of it what you will, just thought it was interesting.
  15. Wow. I can't believe that they waved him. Eli looked very comfortable with him in the pre season. If receivers start going down like last year, he is going to be extremely missed. Who were we making room on the roster for?
  16. Yeah, all this news is upsetting. It's really too bad that the ownership doesn't realize what they have in a manager like Willie and step back and let him do his thing. He had the younger guys progressing with huge strides in the first two years, but instead of supporting his system, they just help undermine it. I guess they don't want to sustain a winning team.
  17.  I disagree about the dancing. I enjoy watching him have fun out there. There was a point during the season that he kind of stopped doing the fooling around stuff and I got worried about him. They even talked about how he didn't look like he was having any fun, and that was his first small slump. I will always maintain that he will not become the player he should be while Ricky Henderson is on this team boosting his ego and making him think he doesn't have to do the small things that were making him great. That is undoing a lot of the things Willie instilled in him that made him progress to what we all thought he was becoming. I agree about the jose jose jose thing. That should be saved for when he gets a hit or does something worth cheering for.
  18. He was suspended for his tirade wasn't he? Did that end on Tuesday, or was it longer than I thought. I think Willie had Gomez out there because he is faster than Milledge and can cover the gap better while Beltran's knees heal.
  19. Coincedence that Reyes start looking and playing lazy in the field right about the time Rickey is hired as a "coach". (By Omar I might add) That's another reason Willie is hamstringed. He isn't even allowed to have his own coaches. I'm sure there are coaches he wouldn't part with ie. Bench coach, pithcing coach and 3rd base coach, cut who knows what he would do if ownership actually showed some confidence in him.
  20. Well, at least I will get my playoff ticket money back. Those 4 games were pretty damn expensive. Phillies 4 Braves 0. Good start.
  21. Ha! I hate that commercial. The first time we saw it, right after he says "I Guiseppe Franco, and I'm putting my name on the line" or whatever, I looked at my fiancee and said "Who the hell is Gueseppe Franco?". Did you see the names of the "celebrities" in the commercial. They were like Frank Stevens, Bob Smith. Who? .....and the Mets commit another error as I type. yeck.
  22. ........and we'd still lose because the pitching is horrendous.
  23. He did a pretty good job of highlighting some of the problems on the D. He broke down one play that Witten went for 20 yards, and showed how 5 players didn't finish there jobs. The scheme had both D ends dropping to a zone, an outside linebacker, a corer and the nickle back blitzing. Arron Ross pulled up, istead of running through Romo, Webster didn't even get close, Strahan faked the rush too far and never made it to his area to cover, the receiver drew Pierce out of the middle and Witten was wide open. The only guy in that scenario in the right position was Pierce. The D looks like it can be fairly good, if they learned were they are supposed to be when Spags calls a play. Howie thinks Kiwi can be a special player, but he is going to need some time to learn the position. They showed a clip where he didn't get the jam on the TE, but it looked to me like he almost recovered in time to swat the ball away. As he learns how to get in better position, I think he will be a great LB. They did show some clips of the talk radio stations, news paper articles, the D sulking on the bench last week and Pierce's air horn stunt (which looked really bad, even though he was joking). This team needs a win bad.
