He certainly has a knack for sticking his shoulder into the ball carriers hip and knocking him off his feet. I love watching him make those plays.

He looked like he gave up on that Driver play. He looked over and saw Gibril coming fast (on a horrible angle, but thats neither here nor there) and figured he would just let him takle him. Pathetic. He is only in there because Johnson is TOO aggresive, he bites on the play fakes too easily. Next year I think it's all Johnson. He should get the majority of playing time in camp and preseason. That said, every now and then Butler makes a spectacular sparkling play out of no where. No consistency though.

Ross was fitted with a brace and practiced. He's playing, but we'll see for how long. I checked the weather and it's a high of 4 degrees with a -11 wind chill and 13 mph winds. I think the low was -1. Rough deal. This game will be won on the line of scrimmage. Which ever team can rip off some long runs will probably win. It's gonna be real hard for a receiver to catch a hard thrown ball thats that cold.

I don't know man. I'm all for getting more pitching, but I just can't see giving up the farm for 1 guy that's gonna break the bank. I understand that he is probably the best pitcher in the league, but I also saw a bunch of stats that suggested that he faded down the stretch last season (I don't have a link). It's impossible to know what we actually have as far as prospects go, but if Gomez and Martinez are actually what they are projected to be...man what an outfield. Gomez, Beltran, Martinez added in with the young talent of Wright and Reyes, That could be a good team for a long time. I also don't know what Pelfrey and Humber will turn into. It would be nice to continue to develop the farm talent and keep a possible great team together for a long time rather than spend everything for 1 great pitcher. Just my thoughts.

Depth is the key to every good team. If we didn't have Bradshaw to backup Ward this year, we would be using a Jacobs - Droughns tandem. No change of pace there. A good team has to have a "group" of running backs.

I just don't understand how D coordinators like Marty Kifin (sp) can be in Tampa since '95 and not get a look, with all of those great Ds under his belt. Then teams come knockin on a first year coordinators door whos had a good season albeit a slightly up and down one.

This team plays better when everyone thinks they suck anyway. I would rather lose this game horribly, then come back and crush the Bucs and roll into dallas or GB with something big on the line. That said, I also think the starters should play most of the game, just to stay in a playing rythm. This team always play bad when they have a bye, whether it's not playing the week before or their heads are still on vacation, I don't know. I would rather TC not take that chance.

That's some solid evaluation work right there. I'm shocked that you are not the GM of a high profile team by now. Have you seen Gomez or Martinez play? Also, Omar is in constant conversation with other GMs and he knows who they are asking about and what kind of value they hold. Obviously he didn't see the intrest in Milledge which everyone seems to think is out there. Probably because of his attitude and off field behavior.
