  1. link Jack I know you hate Pierce and would like to blame all of the world's problems on him, but you have to give the guy credit for being a very heady football player.
  2. Also the dude is so much more than just the physical side of the game. He truly is the QB of the defense. He makes more plays before the ball is even snapped by getting guys in the right spots than we on this message board will ever know.
  3. You don't happen to post on other sites under the name carbo do you? I've never seen someone only see negatives as much as you. Did you see any positives in that game other than the W? Where does this opinion that B Jac has lost his edge come from, 5 quarters of preseason football? That is just rediculous. Some games he absolutely dominates, others a back like Bradshaw has a better game. That's the way it has been for the last 2 years. I haven't seen any drop off from him yet at all.
  4. No problem man. I read MG religiously. Best in the business.
  5. There is no way you watch Giants games if you make a statement like that.
  6. The only problem is that he can give them the audible and line adjustment keys that Eli uses pre snap. Eli makes a lot of reads at the line and has to relay the info to the rest of the team somehow. It just throws in another complication of changing terminology before the game.
  7. No Moss love people? I don't know why, but I'm rooting for that guy.
  8. Jacobs drives a very pimped out Escalade. I saw him get in it and drive away when I was up there. I don't think he would have more than one car at camp.
  9. You're not kiddin. I'm 6-1 and I was looking up at him like I was a little kid. That dude is huge.
  10. He went to the Pro Bowl for his field goal numbers UP TO November. After that he was very average if not below. His kick off ability had nothing to do with his Pro Bowl selection. Let's not revert to childish name calling when someone produces evidence contrary to your beliefs.
  11. O'Hara signed for me last Sunday! Not real talkative though. Diehl was funny as hell. He was messin with Bradshaw when he was near me.
  12. I was up at camp for the weekend and WB was one of the guys that signed as many autographs as possible. He spent a lot of time after practice and talked to the fans and stuff. He was cool. Brian Kehl was the other guy that wouldn't stop signing until everyone that wanted his autograph, or a picture had it. He is probably one of the nicest guys on the team right now. I got a picture with him, taken by my wife, but he stopped and asked if she wanted someone else to take it so she could get in. That was pretty freakin cool considering there were tons of people yelling at him to sign. I also got to joke around with Diehl about his little comedy routine. This was the first time I made it up there and we had a blast.
  13. I really wish people would stop calling it the catch. That already exists. You can't just change it. I have always just wanted it called The Play because the entire thing was amazing.
  14.              I mean, there comes a point when you just have to laugh right?..............................right? :brooding: :WTF:
  15. WOW. This game is rediculous
  16. I absolutely would agree with this, but I just don't see him getting a fair shake from Manual. His management of Church is absolutely mind boggeling. The guy has kept the team afloat, but I just don't get it. Church starts the year raking, completely on fire, and what does Jerry do? Sit him for some Sheffield playing time. The guy hits a home run, looks like he might start getting in a rythm, and Jerry gives him a day off. I just don't fucking get his logic. Let the guy get some momentum and see what he can do for Gods sake. Not to keep this debate rolling, but who the hell could tell if he would even have a fraction of those number with Manual giving him every 3rd day off. I know thats probably not realistic, but who could tell? I don't like Jerry's style. I think he is hurting Murphy also. He was just starting to go the other way and he sat him down for 3 fucking games!? Those two losses were kick me in the balls fantastic by the way.
  17. ......and JJ Putz needs surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow. Out 8 to 10 weeks. :brooding:
  18. I don't really know much of anything about Broadway, but I heard Omar say that he was a number 1 pick in the Pelfrey draft. That should dictate that the guy has some talent and a straight up trade for Castro sounds like a great trade for our side of the table. I gues we'll see.
  19. I read a blurb today that said we need to get Damion Easley on the horn. He is at least a solid defender for a stop gap. I'm tired of trading the farm away each year (or at least the perception of it). Too much of that in baseball for me. Seems like a grass is greener type thing.
  20. Hell yeah! Doesn't happen often, but I'm definately rootin for the NY Yankees this weekend. Let's Go New York!
  21. I was thinking the same thing. I was happy to see Murph in the on deck circle there. I know the logic but I have more confidence in Murphy. Then I began to contemplate what a leader would do there. Even tho a leader can't really be defined I decided to think about it and discuss it with friends for 20 minutes. Holy fuck those announcers suck. I'm pretty sure that Joe Morgan hates Phillips.
  22. Not sure what all that has to do with Carney as a kicker in late season games in the Meadowlands. You can save the post if you would like. I am certainly not endorsing Tynes as our kicker. I don't like him for clutch kicking either, but I do trust the talent scouts on the team, who see these guys everyday, to select the better player. In a perfect world we get a new kicker, although I have no idea who that would be. Yes Carney missed the same number of kicks in a playoff game as Tynes did. I think of them both in the same light. I don't start a thread glorifying one of them because they had a fantastic 10 games to start the season. Eli did have a bad game that day as did Gilbride with the play calling, but Carney's missed field goals can't be written off arbitrarily. Not sure what pre-annoucement you are talking about. That doesn't really stand out to me.
