  1. Some of you guys are unbelievable. Moss made Culpepper??. That's an interesting theory because when I say here that Plax and Shockey have saved Eli's butt several times when he overthrows them, some people here dismiss it because well, you just can't talk that way about Eli can you?. Yet Moss made Culpepper. The same Moss that takes every second play off and by the way, one guy that ever stood up to Moss on the Vikings....was Culpepper. Sure he didn't meet the hype, but if this guy was willing to take a backup role, you'd have to consider it. The fact is that the backup QB situation at the Giants right now is a joke, and we are one injury to Eli from going to the basement. I'd rather have a guy who's played some big games and has some experience than the band of misfits we have backing up Eli. Lorenzen is a fat load at 270 pounds, Hasselback was a backup at best in DC, Wright has never succeeded. Yet somehow all 3 of these guys are better than Culpepper?. Hell they're not even better than Joey Harrington (Falcons new starting QB!). The Giants would be fools not to explore every option out there. Culpepper is an option.
  2. 14 years ago, Tom didn't want us. One year later, he wanted jacksonville.
  3. The Giants website is really stuck for articles right now!. Jeez, can we have the season start already.
  4. What's the difference between and Italian Hot Dog and a regular American one? I think the Hot Dog is okay, I got no problem with him.
  5. Nothing worse than a guy who uses stats that carry little weight. Got news for this scrub, how many yards per carry can a guy get from the one yard line??? And add to the fact that while Tiki may have been a decent fantasy player to have, he could have been so much better, in fact Jacobs was pretty good value because he scored more TD's. Look at Dallas, Julius Jones was the starter, but MArion Barber was a better play. i know because I had both guys on my team.
  6. Good guy, gets a bad rap. I met him and he's good people. I'd like to see him here.
  7. Honestly, there's nothing riveting about the interview. fact is that even if the team does tweak the defence a little bit, we should be better than last year, but it's not much of a stretch. Interesting there was no mention of Ross or Alford at all. If i was a new def coord, I'd be excited that my club drafted a guy like that to help me. Gorilla is right though, this team needs to blitz more and with the athletes we have, it should be more of a priority.
  8. I think in a couple of years we're going to be happy it was Smith that was picked and not Jarrett. Does there have to be reasoning?. I don't Plaxico is as bad as some make him out to be here, but he's not a stud like a Marvin Harrison etc. If the Giants get a new coach next season, I don't see him around for sure.
  9. Furthermore, based on what you're saying, explain Pettigout. Even you said you were baffled about that one.
  10. Money, you may be right about the positions, but I've said this about Plax since before Smith was drafted. I think he's one of those big cuts we make at the end of the season, especially if it's a bad one.
  11. Looking back, way too harsh, sorry man.
  12. What the fuck are you talking about?. It's a joke!!!! Jesus Christ will some of you guys on here get a sense of humor. You're killing the place with this nonsense.
  13. According to Mike Vrabel, we don't need a fullback this year!
  14. Tree, I agree. There seems to be an unwritten rule with Eli, you can't criticize the guy at all. Got news for everyone, some times Tiki didn't block worth a shit = Tiki is a bust.
  15. Fish, are you happy with the backups we have now?. Because I certainly am not.
  16. I agree Nas, i'm always wrong. But you're a real manly man!
  17. Peyton was 3-13 in his first season and 13-3 the next. He struggled for one year. The "slump" has nothing to do with Tiki barber being wide open in the flat and having the ball thrown at his shoes. It has nothing to throwing passes all over the place. It's not just us saying it, you hear it from guys on TV, guys who have played the game saying it. In fact, when you look back last year, what side of the ball was hurt the worst by injuries, the defense. So you would think that you would want to try and keep those guys off the field as much as possible. Yet how many times did we go 3 and out late in the season?
  18. Never mind, I get the idea now. You're into creating a niche for yourself. I'm not seeking your attention but was merely responding to your post. Interpret as you wish.
  19. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were not being a troll, but you're acting like one now. I posted something a while back on this thread directed to you and for some reason, you fail to respond?
  20. You're way off base saying that I'm letting my "hatred". I don't hate him at all, and in previous posts I have said that I believe this kid his all the tools but for the most part he needs to get his head on right. I want this kid to succeed, period. I want Ernie to have been correct and I want him to get out of the shadows of Peyton. He's no different than the rest of the team, no matter what I think of them, I want them all to be successful, that includes Coughlin. There's nothing I would like better than to come back here next year and say, " Eli has become the man". I don't care if I'm proved wrong as long as we win. That's the way a supporter should be, but I am allowed to voice my opinion. You need to take a step back here and not jump to conclusions. I mean, if you think about it, you blamed the Giants performances on the failings of other Giants players and coaching, couldn't that mean that I'm saying you're hating on them??
