This was an interesting thought from CNNSI. Since Calvin Johnson is a beast and is pretty much unstoppable and so are some other receivers like Plax during goal line situations etc - why not use your own tall WR to defend the opposition's WR on crucial plays?? In a Houston Detroit game - in a crucial play - Andre Johnson could play deep safety and have a better chance of defending CJ in any jumpball situation. Maybe Coaches ought to look into it. I thought it was a pretty interesting thought

Agreed. Ive been a Gilbride hater from the start and that opinion hasnt changed. He is a fuckwad! I was all the time saying we should use the hurry up and no huddle a lot more and the Giants offense suddenly looks ominous. Its when Gilbride gets time to fart that our offense starts sputtering. We need to speed things up on offense - show a sense of urgency instead of looking like a bunch of sea lions mating at the line of scrimmage.

Hmm....You made a post yes, but you actually didnt say ANYTHING. Im not putting the Giants in the SB at this point. The Giants have won close games that couldve gone either way. They need to dominate a few teams for me to feel a little better about them. I think they might stink and lose to Buffalo on a defensive collapse. Its possible - although they should be able to handle Seattle. I still think the Eagles are a top class team - except for a couple bad losses and Vick being knocked out against Atlanta. They have the players to put together a run. The Skins are overrated - we were even more pathetic the opening week and handed them a win. They will run out of steam and FAST. The Cowboys - well - I think their lack of a ground game will cost them dearly because Romo isnt capable of putting together a consistent run. The Cowboys - they are going nowhere.

Cruz purposely fell down on the ball...and in his mind he wanted to end the play there. No one with half a braincell would walk away leaving a doubtful ball behind. The refs called it right....sometimes rules can suck. Rules are meant to be bent or broken. Rules can fuck you in the ass. At such times common sense should prevail. Its obvious he made the catch...fell on his own and walked. Next play....thats it...to hell with the rules. If the Cardinal defenders were in a melee with Cruz Id say wrong. But this case....it was obvious. Similar to the tuck rule - yeah the rule might be whatever, but everyone and their grandmothers knew Brady was not letting the ball go and was tucking it in at that instant. The rule fucked the raiders and the rest is history.

The guy fell on the ball. There were no Cardinals trying to vie for the ball in the vicinity. If he thought he had fumbled it, he would have gone ahead and grabbed it again. The Cardinals had not stripped Cruz of the ball, nor did they try to wrest possession of the ball from him. Cruz fell, left the ball and walked away for the next play. Since the whistle had not been blown, the Cardinals thought they had a shot. I think using human common sense (which isnt so common) its obvious, Cruz of his own accord left the ball. The Cardinals tried to use the rules to see if it was possible for them to get possession because of Cruz's oversight when they knew that they hadnt done anything worthy enough to have 'taken' possession of the ball.

Hmm....by the looks of things are we going to be able to field 53-men to make a full roster? And so far all injuries have been on defense - none on offense. WTF is the level of conditioning? Everytime I open up CNNSI or ESPN Im pretty much waiting to see a headline saying a Giant is out. This is fucking ridiculous. Fair Enough analysis. Eli is far better than the negative stats indicate this year - all thanks to injuries to half his WR core and Gilfuck's fucked up playcalling in fucked up situations. A Healthy OL first and everything else falls into place. We didnt have that. The running game was inconsistent. We just never got into rhythm and held on - injury, boneheaded mistakes, inept playcalling, defensive collapses etc kept us off balance. And the Eagles debacle deflated us completely. I really dont know what we need next draft - stud OL guy, stud RB, stud LB?

^^ Gilbride has been an inherent problem. Not every QB is perfect. They have their limitations. You want to call precision pin-point slow developing pass plays with Michael Vick? Be my guest, you just dont. You call plays where he can use his skills and weapons to the maximum - his feet! Eli's regular WR set is banged up. His main man Steve Smith - whom he could rely on for the sure shot short passes/third down conversions is out. His OC is calling bone-headed plays and very very poor game plans. The current WR set is dropping every other catch, Boss included. They are running routes that are not in sync with what the QB is seeing. And Gilbride is still calling those same shitty plays. The running backs love to put the ball on the ground at the drop of a hat. When the rest of the offense is making shitty errors and being equally turnover prone, the QB is bound to try a little too much. Thats the reason for all these errors. I dont think its a coincidence that Eli does phenomenally well in the 2 min offense. For some reason this part is completely omitted amidst the Eli bashing by dogs and eggs and whatever/whoever else. I dont think there are even a handful of QBs in the league who can run the 2 min offense and no huddle as well and be as effective as Eli can. Get rid of Gilbride. Bring a smart and intelligent OC who takes what the defense gives him, realises the set of players he has to work with and accordingly design a game plan. Gilbride is trying to fix a malfunctioning Aircraft engine into a Dodge Neon. Get the bastard outta here. Why cant we learn from the Patriots or even GB for that matter with regard to playcalling on Offense.

I would expect them to do it considering the disaster that happened to us last week. We also shouldve been running up the score constantly, instead of going into the shitty offensive scheme after we built up that huge lead. Run on 1st down, run on 2nd down, pass on 3rd down etc etc. We shouldve been throwing those 40 yrd bombs too. Fuck it. We got our asses handed to us because of poor defensive play, poorer offensive playcalling and equally poor offensive execution.
