  1. For the life of me I can't understand why we seem to always have field goal/snapper problems...it seems like it's every season! I guess letting go of Jay Feely, who is right up at the top of the field goal kicking pack, and the other snapper getting injured has a lot to do with it.
  2. Well, Nem, I consider that GOOD football is finding ways to win. GREAT football is winning and not NEEDING to find a way to win. We are playing good football because we are finding ways to win. The Patriots are playing great football.
  3. It's good that our organization finally realized the importance of a good, solid line that's been playing together for a couple years now. Not some pieced together, untested dudes on the oline anymore! BTW, Seph, it's okay to be wrong....there's been about 2 dozen guys on here that were wrong about Aaron Ross, even as I've been talking him up. People were saying that it meant nothing that A Ross received the best cb in college award(the name slips my mind)
  4. Plaxico is tearing it up dude, it's not like injury is effecting him on the field, I really don't see where you're so concerned; if he has to stay off it a bit during the week but can still bring it come Sunday, in my book, he's fine. I just don't see why you'd ever want Mix on the field this season...sure, work him as a project to replace Plax, MAYBE if he develops, he could be like Plax...BUT until he gets some experience, put our more talented players out there.
  5. Are you serious? We have pure talent in Steve Smith and Sinorice Moss and you want to demote our most consistent WR in Toomer to place a practice squad player into a starting role against arguably THE BEST secondaries in the whole NFL. The NFC East's defensive backfields are excellent! Anthony Mix was playing in preseason against second and third teams and in the one game, starters who were going half assed! WTF are you smoking man? Height does not always equal success at WR.
  6. Personally, I think the Dog just owned you. dude. And it's Stuey.
  7. Yah my point was never that the run game was bad...it was that the didnt have the big play ability as they would if Westbrook was in there. Not to mention all the third downs he converts.
  8. It's nice to see that our organization finally realized the importance of having a decent oline and keeping them together for a couple years.
  9. THANK YOU! This is the second time I've had to shut a fellow fan down. We beat the Eagles. So what. MY roomate is a big Eagles fan so when they don't play at the same time as the Gmen I watch the Eagles with my boy...The Eagles are a team that has fallen off, BUT, it's mostly because Mcnabb is obviously playing injured, 5 starters are out, and they have no WR talent. We beat a hurting Eagles team this week...we were so lucky to get them when they were down like this. THey were missing half their secondary...William James was on the field...that's how bad they hurt at CB.
  10. you judge on the like 4 times he's been thrown to.
  11. Not for nothing but, Moss is never on the field, has wayyyy more upside and value(it's his second year as a second round pick)...hehas more of a chance of turning into another Mcaffery or Jurevicius simply because, like those two WRs, they have talent, but we didnt get them on the field. Moss is a fast mother fucker that we can use to stretch the field, we already have a 6 5 wide receiver to go up for it and he's infinitely better than Mix. "The Gimp" as someone put it, has like 6 touchdown receptions. Out of like 19 catches.
  12. they never let Moss on the field! and if it is, it's for a stupid end around play that we've never been able to run for as long as I've watched the Giants(not to mention the coaches dont know when to use it).
  13. Uhhh Donovan Mcnabb hitting Westbrook in the flat(or even down the field....god knows the Eagles have no other WRs) and Westbrook making the entire secondary miss. If Buckhalter got 100 yards, Westbrook is getting 150 and a TD, man. It's like the difference between Tiki Barber and Derrek Ward, for us. Sure they are both decent RBs that are gonna pick up yards but obviously one is much, much better. Westbrook has turned into that teams Tiki Barber, they rely on him for like half their yards every game. I'm just saying, we did nothing well on offense against a team that's decimated. Eli is still forcing the ball to Shockey, we are not sustaining drives, we are leaving points on the field, and when we get down in enemy territory, we should honestly just start taking shots at the endzone when we get to the opposing 35. Because we can't kick field goals and we cant score inside the 20.
  14. you're blind if you dont think that Westbrook MAKES that offense. He ALWAYS torches us and we were lucky to face the Eagles when not only he was out but like 2 other pro bowlers (Sheldon Brown or was it the other guy? and Brian Dawkins) and 2 other starters were gone...and we STILL scored under 10 points on that defense. We still have lots to work on and theres no reason that ESPN or any other site should rank us anything more than like 18th.
  15. oh no, ALL these other guys are right...the Giants organization, from scouts to General Management, dont know what they are doing.
  16. uhhhh, yah, and then watch, we'll cut him and he'll do wonders for another team simply because we never gave him a shot or let him get on the field. just like every WR we draft.
  17. There's no way we played them 3 times in the last 3 years...once maybe...
  18. because, unfortunately, we cut our 85% field goal kicker(kicking in one of the toughest stadiums to kick in, mind you) because he missed a few long ass field goals to win a game in Seattle a couple years back. I miss Jay Feely.
  19. we have to remember the Eagles were seriously hurting personnel wise...like 4 or 5 of their key players were injured, and Brian Westbroook being out seriously hampers that offense. Their defense held us to under 10 points with our offense stalling and making mistakes all along the way. Not to mention, special teams still sucks and the defense can't do that well against every team. We have things to fix still.
  20. oh and btw dude, last time I checked Aaron Ross was the starting CB on one of the best college football teams in the nation.
  21. NFC East games at the end of the season are always so intense...so much on the line, it's awesome.
  22. noticed he and i both said "invested" meaning, obviously he's nickel right now. Ross was the best CB in the nation coming into the draft. We obviously drafted 1st meaning we want him to be a shutdown corner eventually. Point was, my Eagles fan buddy is afraid our secondary maybe making a turn for the better finally. but regardless, it's nice to see two of our corners, Madison and Ross, actually make an open field tackle and not completely wiff.
  23. yah, it sounds like a bad idea...we have a hard enough time running our base defense.
