  1. eh, oh well. what are they gonna do, not pay it?
  2. that's definitely a different story, then...I just assumed with the way NFL teams have been spending on mediocre players that hegot a huge contract.
  3. he made it on the field more, though, i think...plus Pittsburgh isnt exactly known for their over the top game...
  4. another Nate Clements type player. He's gonna get a massive contract and not even be a top tier linebacker.
  5. you can't pass judgment on a guy that didn't get on the field...but, I've always held that we should have picked up Santonio Holmes in the first at the spot we were at...but oh well...I did not want Kevin Curtis on the team, I'd rather have a 5th round draft pick this year than him.
  6. he's been injured for a year...Santana Moss is certainly a better player than Kevin Curtis, if his brother is half as good, we're set. As far as I'm concerned, Curtis has 1200 yards more than Moss and has played 3 years longer, thats it.
  7. btw, whatever happened with June, where did he go to?
  8. "Little risk of injuries due to segmented torso..." hahaha nice, Seph, this was a funny post. "Will sometimes gorge himself and blow up to huge proportions; becomes fatter and slower when this happens. Can be dislodged from defenders with common table salt. " LMAO, have you ever tried that, it's so torturous but funny, in a sick, sadistic way.
  9. and he was number 3 and normally in(especially with Martz), wasnt he? that means he should have slightly more than 1200 yards in 3 seasons....Bruce and Holt are/were falling off and getting old. I'm just gonna have to think that the Eagles were desperate here and needed to fill a glaring spot that Stallworth left....whereas we have two proven WRs (well, one's a headcase) and a potentially great slot guy, ourselves...the need just wasnt there to justify us breaking the bank on a speedy guy that we already have the same player in Moss.

that's exactly right, build around what we have, go the Patriots route, not the Skins route.
  11. yah, 4-9, right NOW. We havent had any cuts or anything. I also heard a while back they were trying to restructure Toomer and Strahan. We will sign free agents that will help us out, we are just waiting until the right players don't get the deals they want. Plus, that 4-9 is without or rookie pool factored in, isnt it? Signing Arrington again at a better price would be mad clutch...it doesn't look like he's garnering any attention from anyone else and maybe he'll come back with a chip on his shoulder. We're getting younger and faster...yet we still have a good solid core of players. This year won't be that bad, I don't believe. On the Droughns note, I honestly hope he wins that starting job. Jacobs doesn't strike me as the leader he strikes all of you as...he fumbles at clutch moments and has a hard time lowering his shoulder and actually driving a pile. Droughns is a big, powerful back who has that explosiveness to pick up bigger chunks of yardage...plus, he's proven he can be a workhorse already. If he comes to camp in shape and motivated, I don't see how he won't be our starter. But I would bet Jacobs still gets 10-15 carries a game, which is perfect for the type of back that he is.
  12. atta boy dub. Reese is clearing house of dead weight, just like any new GM would do. He let worthless players go and is looking to intelligently run this team...not run it into the ground like the Skins have been doing for years. Nate Clements I don't think has ever been to a Pro Bowl, and I'm more comfortable with Moss or Tyree than I would have been with Kevin Curtis.
  13. Yah, since when has Nate Clements been such a great CB, Buffalo's defense has been mediocre, better than their offense, but thats not saying much.
  14. umm, what does Jerry Reese have to do with our on the field play...? And uhhh, what's is your gripe with, playcall from last year, or not signing any free agents? Because it seems like you're pissed at our front office and GM...yet you're bashing Huffnagel and Lewis.
  15. I say fuck you SDMF. Simply because Jerry Reese is the GM of our team and your the GM of our Madden team. We'd be broke and still suck if you ran this team.
  16. difference is, i dont think any of us are getting paid millions of dollars to whine...and I know we don't throw are hands up in disgust and complain when we run poor routes and our timing with the QB is way off...we also don't let passes sail over are heads and try to two hand touch the intercepting player.... not a very good paradox, if you ask me.
  17. yah, you're right, I expected to see more actual free agent signings, but hey, these scrubs are getting paid way too much, so it doesnt make me feel that bad.
  18. you alluded to not signing a WR to fill a roster spot...err, not OVERPAYING for a WR simply to fill a roster spot... I simply put down my thoughts about how everyone wants us to pick up free agents, but honestly, he's doing good not to sign bums for a high price simply because they need to fill a roster spot.
  19. naw, Jay Alford in the late 3rd! No DTs in the first...we have historically bad luck at doing that.
  20. Toomer is gonna come back better than ever, watch I think WR is a position we arent too bad in...a late round pick...say 4th round plus, would fill it out nicely. Plaxico and Toomer with Moss in the slot. That's an exciting core right there, IMO.
  21. It really looks like it...hopefully the front office and coaches realize that we can't put every game on the shoulder of Eli Manning because, though he's good, he doesnt have that same ability to put his team on his shoulders like Peyton. With a power running football team, we could completely punish defenses with the running game, and hit up shockey over the middle and plax deep. Straight wear teams down.
  22. We have the exact same player that he is in Sinorice Moss anyway(minus a 32 million dollar deal, which by the way is INSANE to pay Kevin Curtis, and though i havent checked, i doubt Amani Toomer makes that kind of money)...he's just gotta get on the field.
  23. Every year, I pray Strahan will have a season half as good as his 22 and a half...every year I'm disappointed when he misses 6 games and gets less than 10 sacks. I agree with VG, we aren't hurting at DE, I wouldnt mind shopping Strahan around to see what we could get.
  24. i dont know, you guys just seem so worried that we aren't overpaying in this free agent class that's not all that great. the only significant loss i feel we've had is Tiki and honestly, it's gonna take the two guys we have to replace him, Droughns and Jacobs...other than that, Petitgout only gets bashed here but when he's finally gone people cry about it. The man must have comitted 300 penalties in his time with us. Walker's gone...oh not there goes are number 5 guy at that spot. Tim Carter, injury plagued, never on the field. Arrington, risky pick up last year, injury plagued. Emmons, dead wood at outside linebacker, can't move. I'm confident that the Reese knows what he's doing, he's in the spot for a reason, and since we don't have that much wiggle room beneath the cap, it's better to fill holes then break the bank on mediocre WRs like Curtis who we don't need all that much anyway. Not to mention we have a full number of picks in the draft. Let us get younger, quicker, and more disciplined like Coughlin(I'm a believer in Coughlin, Hufnagle was the problem) originally planned. I'd like to see us pick the DT from Penn St. that was on your one post, he looks like a beast.
  25. dude, they are overpaying for a mediocre Jurevicious. What exactly has Kevin Curtis done that makes him so high up with you guys? Sinorice Moss is a much better option for us right now, he's got potential.
