  1. While Ike Hilliard wasn't worth the 7th overall pick, he was a decent player and Giant...he was a good possession wide receiver and I remember him converting a lot of third downs and tough catches, whether you disagree or not, Nem.
  2. i never really noticed it myself but he did attempt less field goals...though his percentage was better this past year than two years ago, meaning there really shouldnt have been a reason to doubt him. The Seattle game was a fluke and I dont consider his final attempt there to even count...that was Coughlin's stupidity, letting him even attempt that, a lot like the Bears 50 yarder in the wind.

every little bit can help though, dude...i just think the one on one time they get, throwing over and over again, running routes, working on timing and rhythmn

no shit sherlock, that's why i changed my statement. i don't dislike shockey. if you're injured and it's completely zapping your second half of the season production, it's like you aren't there for 4 games anyway.

then why do we all complain about his injuries? he might have been physically there, but he played most of what....2005(?) with a broken sternum and god knows how many games on a bad ankle.

except the whole running routes completely and not giving up on them....and eli.

yah because we are all in a position to "turn it into an issue". What does that even mean?
  8. yah, I'm sure he was reluctant to allow an 84% field goal kicker with us(damn good)...a guy who is money within 45, attempt a field goal. they are opinions for a reason.

yah, i was just going to say...for a player that hasnt had as good a season as his rookie season, and has lately been playing like 10-12 games a season...it really doesn't seem like natural grass is helping him out at all.
  10. Isn't that Italian or Spanish or soemthing....?
  11. Agreed. We have a good kicker and we revert back to a Matt Bryant type kicker. Why?
  12. better be real late. we had Feely if we had ponied up a little cash.
  13. well, he was 58 for 69 with us, which is like 84%...better than his career numbers with the Dolphins...and 84% is pretty good.
  14. i tend to blame special teams coverage more so than feely kicking it short. i think im the only giants fan that actually liked feely.
  15. True but I also think Shockey needs to get open more and Plax needs to stop dropping passes and giving up on routes... And plus, just because he wasn't sacked alot doesn't mean he wasn't pressured a lot...it seems to me like he was throwing the ball away an awful lot with defensive linemen in his face.... More high percentage passes(which Gilbride seemed to do) and less passing down the field all the time will certainly help him, I believe. Plus, they should RUN the ball on first down once in a while.
  16. I think the coaching staff puts way too much on the shoulders of Eli Manning, personally...hopefully with the canning of Huffnagel(which I wanted to happen for a while) we won't pass pass pass punt anymore. But that's just another excuse I personally have. The whole offense needs to play better and it DOES start with Eli, I just think it shouldn't all rest on his shoulders. But I disagree with the Feely point...who the hell else did we have? He was GOOD compared to what we used to have in Matt Bryant. He was money inside 45. Sure his kickoffs typically sucked but so did our coverage...we normally missed at least the first shot to get the returner every time. All in all though, I agree with saying we've had a horrible offseason, the 30th worst...? Prolly not but I'd say 25th worse. We've done nothing but create more question marks.
  17. and no, i obviously dont follow the giants. douchebag. see, i can make gay little smilies, too.
  18. yah, that was my point....boy, you guys are slow.

  20. uhh, I also remember times losing to their backup quarterbacks and losing half our defense to injuries. so no, i guess i'm wrong.
  21. hahaha that's not even close to an option. first choice, obviously. why would anyone root for their team to lose?
  22. Atlanta is going to beat us. They always do. No matter who their QB is.
