  1. TO will be on his best behavior this season. im not happy about this move as I think it will make the cowboys a very tough matchup next season, we're historically terrible against owens and i'd rather we be competing against one team (redskins) for the division title. yes there's potential for owens to wreck the cowboys and force parcells into retirement, but if it happens i dont think it's happening next season and that's what i'm concerned about right now
  2. strahan and osi aren't 3-4 DE's
  3. come on guys, how can any giant fan think kurt warner is taking ANY team to the playoffs? they made a huge mistake letting mccown go and giving warner an extension
  4. lol wow now i've seen everything
  5. yeah padres. and speaking of mets and padres let me be the first to inform you guys that you didn't get hosed on the cameron deal. nady's the real deal and single handedly kept our offense afloat in april and may last season. dont know if he'll hit the wall if he gets 500-600 at bats this season but IMO (and i watch plenty of yankees and mets games to compensate for not watching my own team) he's better than diaz and should be the starter
  6. you guys are going to end up regretting that move. he's gonna kill it in Los Angeles. the benson trade was enough, u got bullpen help and a setup man
  7. here's one i did the other day. it's a meaningless league, when i do my money league draft i'll post it. i had 6th pick out of 8. c v-mart 1b derek lee 2b felipe lopez 3b ensberg ss reyes lf matsui cf cameron rf ichiro util fielder bench frank thomas pitchers (5 sp, 2rp, 1 p) santana felix duke hudson lowry street hoffman mike gonzalez joe blanton francisco liriano
  8. the yanks overpaid for him, but it was going to be very tough to get someone young and fast who could meet yankee-sized expectations, especially considering the yanks' prestigious CF history. the truth is he was probably the best option, and the mets werne't going to trade cameron to the yanks
  9. bill simmons is by far the best sports journalist out there. i dont know who's second and i dont care, cuz no one else comes close
  10. easily a top 10 player. it's sickening how underrated he is
  11. with yahoo leauges you can draft offline and then the commissioner fills in the players for each team. if we can all manage to be online at the same time then we might as well do the live yahoo draft. the only reason why i was suggesting doing it on the board was in case we can't all be online at the same time. i dont know about you guys but i dont wnat the computer autopicking my team--maybe basketball, but no way in baseball, there are way too many darkhorses and overvalued players. as for possible cheaters, we could have each team manager PM their pick to one person and have them post their pics for them on whatever thread we do this on
  12. you need a lot more than that if those are guys you are counting on in fantasy basketball
  13. yeah we wouldn't want to stunt lee, woods and robinson's growth into role players for other teams
  14. they want penny because his 15 million dollar salary comes off the books at the end of the year and clears a ton of cap space. the '07 free agent class is going to be sick and they want ot rebuild around howard
  15. he wants two legit scoring guards who can play 35 minutes a game. crawford doesn't seem to give him that
  16. they already did, his name is armando benitez
  17. woods has no value, you signed him off the street
  18. if im a knick fan i'd rather trade crawford and mo taylor and keep penny's contract in hopes of getting garnett with it, but if that's not possible theni guess you gotta get value for penny's contract while you can. in either case, the knicks now have a good backcourt and marbury doesn't have the pressure of being the team's best player anymore
  19. anthony mason was a headcase here too, so was sprewell. both were on nba finals squads. the team absolutely blows, you can't get under the cap for years, you have no chance at aquiring top first round picks the next two seasons, all you can do is sign players or trade for them in hopes of getting better, and your options are limited AND you have a chance at a top 5 player. what's your alternative? how else are the knicks supposed to get better?
  20. then why discuss his role as a player
