  1. cla meredith: 33 and 2/3 scoreless innings. dare i say best setup man in baseball?
  2. i guess he's not returning then
  3. mia, minn, cin, chi, indy, NO, NYG, bal, tampa, sea, stl, den, ne, sd, dal, jax
  4. oh ok, i thought you meant rooted on a full time basis
  5. is that the year he wasn't standing for god bless america?
  6. THEY WEAR SKELETON COSTUMES IT MUST BE SO INTIMIDATED TO PLAY FOOTBALL THERE!
  7. actually they're crediting walter with the fumble at least i had tomlinson and kaeding in my other money league where i was down 18.
  8. that could be true, they said al saunder's playbook is 700 pages
  9. well make sure you start him next week, he's playing green bay. unless you're playing me, in which cas you should bench your whole team
  10. rivers is under strict to not take his eyes off tomlinson, not even to survey the defense at the line
  11. yeah i went up against bush as well, that hurt
  12. differen't league, and im doing great in both pick 'em leagues
  13. wooo, i needed 26 from chester taylor and lamont jordan. taylor got me 14
  14. on september 9th it sure is. for example roy halladay's ERA went up .17 in his start before last and he gave up 6 ER in 7 IP. why? because he's pitched 207 innings. wells has pitched 58. again, you're dealing in small sample sizes
  15. and take away wells last outing and he's been lights out since coming off the DL. and yes, his era DID balloon quite abit when you consider that he gave up 4 runs in 5 innings and has missed significant time this season
  16. yeah, after giving up 4 runs in 5 innings and AFTER i made that post, sure. and yeah, 4.42 is considerably lower than 6.11. but that's like saying rosie o'donnell is considerably hotter than kathy bates
  17. looks like it was worth trading nady. if perez doesn't pan out you got robbed twice in two trades with the same player in the same season
  18. gore has value because he's a featured back ina league with many teams who have either unsettled rb situations or rb by committee strategies. that doesn't mean that he's going to have a great year in that league. he's still on a team without a great o-line and with an unproven qb. defenses will be keying on gore
  19. i think LJ is overrated, but still, you won't win with dunn and gore as your starting RBs. in FF you have to decide whether your team is better or worse after the trade, not necessarily whether the trade itself is fair or not
  20. im a poet and i didnt know it
  21. i can't imagine why. david wells pitched great in san diego as recently as 2004. he pitched well in his one postseason start last season. he also pitched great in the postseason for the yanks in 2003 until his last start against the marlins when his back went out. he also hasn't had an ERA approaching 5.00 (like el duque did this season and last) since 1996. and he's been lights out since he came off the DL this season.
  22. they've been hot lately, last night notwithstanding
  23. he hasn't indicated that he hasn't gotten older and worse. last year his ERA was 5.12. 3 tough innings in one game doesn't erase that. and this year his era is 4.96. when the guy wins a postseason start at his age-range without playing for the ny yankees dynasty i'll be worried
  24. how about the majority of those stats were earned before the 2001 season? he has one postseason win since and he got robbed and raped by the red sox in his last postseason start
