it's a 4.50 era but it's still a quality start and usually enough to keep your team in the game. considering all you did was give up a 2 month rental i'd say that's a good return--you're not going to get a stud pitcher for gagne, the yanks wouldn't even give up a guy who projects to be no more than a #3

not bad. if the guy does nothing but give you 3 runs in 6 innings for a few years and then leaves via free agency it still turned out to be a great deal
