  1. i dont care about weiss, i care about coughlin not being here ....by accident
  2. yeah i've heard that guys like bradly and barrett have been behaving well cuz the clubhouse is so mellow and everyone is pretty tight, hopefully it lasts through october
  3. he's money in big spots so far, if he has a little blow up and still continues to hit .340 and drive in runs i'll take it
  4. more confirmation that coughlin's a fucking idiot and the new giants ownership are even bigger idiots. thanks tiki, you just HAD to go out with a big game huh?
  5. the mets have their share of problems, and i agree they aren't as good as last season, but the NL is WIDE open this season, all you gotta do is make the playoffs
  6. i think he'll be fine. they probably don't have him going 100% cuz of his running style and the fact that no one knows if he can handle the load for 16 games
  7. yeah, but it's still better than upstate ny, and my best friend is in the town right next to mine as opposed to being at least an hour away from everyone i knew when i lived in the murda. hopefully ny law comes to it's sense this time and im living in manhattan again this time next year
  8. im glad he wasn't here, he probably would've gotten hurt like half the league did this preseason and every preseason. as long as he produces i dont care what he does
  9. been there done that (see bottom pic in my sig)
  10. the gel wasn't necessary seeing as how im italian and naturally have greasy hair. i have no complaints about the girls out here though, way better than fishmurda
  11. im here at hofstra law, hopefully it'll just be for a year
  12. yeah, too bad we didn't have milton bradly in 98. he struck out last night and immediately broke his bat over his knee with a straight face. i love that guy
  13. it's definitely ridiculous, that comes out to like 4 bucks a game for the last month and like 2 bucks a game for the entire season but i asked the guy if it was going to go down september 1st or something and he said it wasn't likely since they lost all that revenue the first month of the season before they struck a deal with MLB
  14. i paid 169 for extra innings at my parents house in may. now im living in strong island (it's only strong while i live here) and i jsut paid another 120 for the last month of the season. would you do this if your team led the wild card race and was 1 game out of the division?
  15. i think vince young murdered any chance we had at getting fisher, but i agree with those who said he'd be their #1 choice. as for the three guys in the poll, the only guy i'd want is bellicek. imagine how many years cowher would get here with this ownership
  16. that's the way to do it. i feel the same way about the 2000 giants, i guess some people only want to remember that we lost the last game but i had a great time as a fan that year
  17. yeah i agree, even though i was an optimistic teenager i knew how big of an underdog they were going into that series, so to see them surprisingly look like legit competition for the yanks and then see it wiped away by that call was like being on a rollercoaster. i think gwynn had two jacks that game
  18. i might be wrong but I'm pretty sure 10-5 rules only apply to trades. Since you can just let a player go to the team that claimed him without compensation I would think that the 10-5 rule doesn't apply in this case. There's not much you can get for the guy at this point anyway with his salary. I don't think cashman's the type to just let him go anyway, the pads were willing to take igawa off your hands and although I don't know the details it looks like cashman was asking for too much when he really is in no position to do so. I'm sure he would take the same attitude towards trading mussina. of course if the red sox, mariners, tigers, indians, or angels claimed him I don't blame him for pulling him back
  19. if you ask me, cashman's a dumbass if some team claimed mussina and he pulled him back. let someone else pay the rest of his contract
  20. no im seriously not bitter--the was a great season that i'll never forget and im not going to beat myself up over not beating the best team in baseball history. but if you remember, it was easily the turning point of the game and, as it turned out, the series. that totally took the wind out of their sails--obviously it's the pads fault for letting one bad call affect them for 3 more games, but it was still a horeshit call, it was a straight fastball right down the middle. edit: while im not bitter about the series--you guys were obviously the better team--the call definitely irked the shit out of me at the time. we were going toe to toe with you guys up until then.
  21. they sure liked you guys in 98 when mark langston threw strike three right over the plate before tino's grand slam
  22. that's true, he'd be getting murdered this week if he didn't make the media's job easier
