That's with the Texans front seven, I would expect more with the Giants D-line.

It is a solid signing. His 2007 numbers show it and that is with pretty much nothing around him. You take a solid player and put him into what is shaping up to be a murderer's row of a D-line and I will be he do some good things back in that secondary.

Exactly, when Plax gets back Nicks becomes the number two. Smith the slot and Manningham and Hixon can rotate at the 4. Plax has 2 more years max in my book before the Giants will release him due to age and performance.

It is the position of greatest need and greatest value at the middle to late 1st round. Plus they already addressed LB in FA. Do you really think that is a coincidence?

Plax is going on 32 this year and that means it is time for the Giants to start grooming a replacement this year and it also insures and insurance policy if Plax continues his self destructive behavior.

Maybe so, but he has the size to play strong at 239 and will pick up more wait in the NFL conditioning programs.

It is possible, but who is going to step up. No one did last year, Manningham is essentially a rookie, Hixon is no a #!, Smith is a possession guy, and Moss is an enigma. Tyree=special teams. Plus the Giants need a red zone threat as well.
