The shelf life for NFL kickers is pretty long (see Morten Anderson last year). Carney still has a few more years left in him from what I've seen. What makes this a sticky situation is Tynes' contract. Anyone know how much he's guaranteed?

Carney is 9 for 9 so far and leading the NFL in scoring. I understand the concern about him kicking in the cold but seriously I was ready to strangle Tynes in the NFCCG. I'm thankful for him kicking us into the SB but I think Carney starting is what's best for the team. I'm a lot more comfortable with Carney coming in late in a game to kick a last second FG than I am with Tynes. He might not have the leg he used to but he's hit FG's from 46 and 47 yards this season and IMO is more accurate than Tynes.

Oh hell yeah man I agree. It was great team effort. How about our rushing attack? The way TC rotated our backs was exactly how I wanted to use them.

That was some smash football today. Granted it was the Rams but in the end we did what we were supposed to do. The running game started out slow but in the end WOW. Great job by our line on both sides of the ball.

In regards to K-Rod I'd rather we don't spend 15 mill per on a closer. Don't get me wrong he's a beast but I don't see him having another year like this. I think our biggest concern is our middle relievers.

I know Billy's not a favorite among Mets fans and I won't defend everything he's ever said or done but he's not afraid to speak his mind and he doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. He knows he's gonna get roasted in the media and still refuses to sugarcoat it. I felt for him a little tonight when he broke down after being asked about breaking the news to his son that he wouldn't be back next year and I rarely feel bad for athletes. I hope he's able to come back eventually even if it's not with the Mets.

I was surprised not see Bradshaw in the 4th quarter last week. I guess we didn't need him but I would bet he gets a share this weekend even if it's only a handful.

It's always nice to have a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning chucking td's all day long but we don't have that. Giants football is about running the ball and having a good defense to control the clock. Eli is not an elite qb IMO. Do we necessarily need him to be one though? Don't get me wrong I love Eli. I was ecstatic when we drafted him and I proudly wear his jersey on game day and didn't think all those near-picks were on him the other night

That man does not value the life of others I'm glad Landry didn't have any serious injuries from it. Man oh man, I wonder what goes through a defensive players mind when you look up and see 265 lbs of pissed off running back coming at you.
