  1. Found a link to this article at Vacchiano's blog. http://www.syracuse.com/today/index.ssf/20...p_holtz_sy.html
  2. Not the best way to win the division but fuck it, we earned it. 11-2 at this point playing in probably the toughest division in football... I can't complain.
  3. I want him to come back and retire as a Giant, I'm just not sure if he'll get the chance.
  4. I don't follow college ball nearly as much as I used to but according to this site we've been to Rutgers games multiple times scouting him. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...0&genpos=WR some vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea9zzdYnA1M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QcW6fhzZGc according to the description they put him in at FS right before halftime, nice hit!
  5. The thread was started in the Giants section. Nothing wrong with Giants nation discussing what we're thankful for in regards to our team on Thanksgiving. Stop sipping the haterade man. And to get back on topic, there's too much to be thankful for about this team. We aren't perfect, but it's classic Giants football. Who doesn't love seeing Earth, Wind and Fire and our o-line wear down a defense? Eli has cut down on the mistakes and our defense, who everyone thought was done after the losses of Stra and Osi basically said "FUCK THAT" and might be better than it was last year. John Carney, WOW is all I have to say. I loved the signing. He's now tied for the league lead in scoring. Hopefully we can keep this up, some tough match-ups remaining and we haven't won anything yet but it's been fun watching this team so far this season. GO GIANTS!
  6. I don't see them firing Reid. Jeff Lurie has a huge man crush on him. I could maybe see Reid stepping down but that seems unlikely as well.
  7. Wow, surprised they would make the capacity smaller by that much. Here's a side by side comparison for anyone that's interested. http://mlb.mlb.com/nym/ballpark/citifield_comparison.jsp
  8. I would pass on trading for a closer because we can just sign one through free agency w/o having to give up any prospects and Jenks won't come cheaply. 86er, F-Mart isn't 19 anymore...he just turned 20 on October 10th . Seriously though he's doing pretty good in the winter leagues, at least at the plate from what I've read.
  9. I couldn't help myself, I wanted to see what he'd look like in our colors
  10. Actually no, I don't recall saying that. Fuentes has been worse, I agree. I was just trying to make a point.
  11. Not saying that I would rather have Fuentes but it's not like K-rod has been lights out in the playoffs the past couple seasons...
  12. I still don't like the idea of paying a closer 15 mill per but if it's true that he'll drop his asking price then that's a different story. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/77452 From metsblog.com http://www.metsblog.com/2008/11/13/buzz-me...rod-like-abreu/ I would be happy with Fuentes as well. I also read that we might be interested in trading for Bobby Jenks but I just don't see that happening. Thoughts?
  13. Good news... http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2008/11...tice_for_n.html
  14. I don't know man, there's a lot of Giants fans who are Yankees fans that probably don't hate the Phillies. As Mets fans it's natural for us but not for all Giants fans IMO.
  15. lol thanks. The sig was made by a buddy of mine from another board though. I just added the gif into it
  16. Not really surprised by this. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3675442
  17. For the record I'm not bitter whatsoever about the Phillies winning the WS. I made a thread congratulating them when they made the WS. I'm not jealous at all. It's not about them. A lot of teams in the MLB can't stand us, not just the Phillies. And Ditto, maybe because I thought the guy made some good points, that's why.
  18. I was reading some Mets blogs today and came across this article and found it interesting. It's somewhat long so I'll just post part of it. The full article is here- http://gothambaseballmagazine.com/mets/embrace-the-hate.html
  19. Not only do I think Steve Smith is the best wr on our team but I think he's the best wr EVER. Not only has he been our most reliable target so far but he ALSO has the ability to travel to Carolina on the same day and DOMINATE, even if the game is at the SAME TIME. JERRY RICE MY ASS!!!!! *edit* I've been drinking tonight. I actually think our Steve Smith has the potential to be a black Wes Welker. He catches everything.
  20. The Packers reportedly offered a 3rd and they got turned down after Carl Peterson changed his mind and went up to a 2nd . Gonzo said he would of played for them as well and said he planned to play 3 more seasons. It's a shame for TG that they couldn't get this done.
